"Beautiful lodge in an amazing location. Outstanding views, feels like youre in a tree house. Walks right from the park. The lodge is immaculate throughout. Loved the hot tub after a long day walking. Jackie is a great host, this was our third visit well definitely be back. Missing the fresh air and bird song already."

"Fabulous place. Third time we have stayed. Clear Skies Lodge is perfect for us. Love the peace and quiet, we were able to sit out 2 afternoons we were there. The added bonus we had picked the darkest time of the month, we had clear skies 3 nights and aurora one night too. Even if the weather is not perfect, it is nice to be able to sit and watch the wildlife through the large window."

"We loved the peaceful vibe of the lodge park, its so quiet and relaxing. The lodge itself was spotless, comfy and had everything we needed. Great spot for exploring the Observatory and nearby places!"

"We stayed at the lodge recently and honestly, its a lovely place with really nice decor and comfy beds. Everything was super clean and tidy, which we appreciated. However, we did notice quite a bit of mould in the corner of the main bedroom, which gave off a strong smell and slightly spoiled the experience. A few little touches, like providing hand soap and not having to strip the beds at checkout, would definitely improve things. The hot tub area is a bit odd - it's fenced off and we think lowering one side would make a big difference, offering better views of the valley. Still, overall, a pretty great stay!"

"Our Clear Sky Lodge Park review: The lodge was lovely and very well appointed. The beds were comfy and everything was absolutely spotless. Unfortunately there was quite a bit of mould in the corner of the main bedroom which made the whole place smell quite a lot but other than that it was great! Personally I think a few touches such as hand soap and not being required to strip the beds at the end of your stay would make it better but these things dont take away from how beautiful the lodge is. The hot tub is in a strange fenced enclosure which I think could be lowered on one side so you can view the valley."

"We had an absolutely lovely stay! The location is perfect, especially sitting out on the veranda without worrying about anyone peering in. The lodge was spotless and really well equipped, with a layout that made everything easy. We first visited last year for a special birthday and a trip to Kielder Observatory - the wildlife, peaceful surroundings and dark skies are just fantastic. Were not hot tub people, but tried it and it really helped with aches and pains!"

"We had such a lovely stay at this good place. The location is stunning and super private, which we really appreciated. The hosts were genuinely friendly and always ready to help if needed, but kept a good distance to maintain our privacy. The hot tub was a highlight after a long day cycling around. One thing to note is that the cottage is right under Stansted's flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much after a while, but its worth mentioning for light sleepers. Overall, wed definitely come back!"

"We stayed at this lovely lodge recently. Its a bit on the older side, but everything you need is there and the host was fantastic-super helpful and even brought a dog gate for the veranda. Its a shame theres no hot tub option in the dog lodges, but the site itself is great and we loved the nearby pubs. Would definitely return!"

"Beautiful setting. Beautiful accomodation. Perfect long weekend away. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. The lodge had everything we needed in it. Only thing we were disappointed about was not being able to see the stars at night but it was wrong time of the year I think for that. I would highly recommend it to anyone especially those wanting a peaceful setting to relax but with adventures close by for families who also want to explore, cycle, walk, do water sports etc too."
