A lovely place, run by a lovely couple. We spent a lot of time just relaxing and reading. Although there was one, the TV never went on. The track up is a bit rough, but if you keep the speed down, it's worth the drive to get there. Some lovely places to visit, including Wig Town, which is the book capital of Scotland. And of course, we found some nice places to eat. A helpful suggestion. If you are coming from the east, there's a nice caf about nine miles east of Newton Stewart which is worth stopping at. A word of warning. As you exist the track on to the main road, beware of HGV's travelling at high speed around a blind bend as they head east.
We really enjoyed our stay at little lodge. The lodge was everything you need and more. Overall it was very clean and comfortable which made for a pleasant stay as well as the hosts being very friendly and welcoming. Only small thing we picked up on was a bit of grime on the inside of the hot tub cover apart from that the stay was perfect and we would love to come back.
We had a great stay at Little Lodge! Mel is a great host and has thought of absolutely everything from EV chargers, to heated clothes horses. The location is very rural, which was a nice change of pace for us. The only slight downside was the lack of garden around the lodge however, this was highlighted in the description and an enclosed area is provided for dogs on site. Overall, the lodge was spotlessly clean, there was a lot of beautiful scenic areas round about and we would definitely stay again.
Really enjoyed the stay at Little Lodge Dumphries & Galloway, perfect location to travel from to the many natural attractions and wonderful scenery. The Lodge was very clean & tidy with all amenities required for normal day to day living, with the added hot tub that was used each day after long walks. Totally chilled out.
Little Lodge was an amazing stay start to finish. This place was so clean and had everything you needed from a washing machine to a heated air drier. My mum was disabled and this was perfect our host Nadia offered her a shower seat and handle which did help her loads. I would recommend this place 100. I will definitely be looking to go back. We had a very relaxing stay at Little Lodge. The accomodation was excellent and our host, Nadine was very friendly and welcoming. The lodge itself was well furnished and extremley clean with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We also made good use of the hot tub which is under cover and protected from the weather. Seamus our pet dog was also made welcome and had a towel, bowls and some treats all provided for his stay.

Very welcoming host and lodge was a lovely setting for our break. All we needed including the hot tub. Beds were comfy. There was plenty room for us and the dog. Would have been 5star but unfortunately the driveway was full of potholes, I know they are trying to make it better but unfortunately during our visit it was quite bad.

Really lovely rural spot to relax. The cabin was very clean and very comfortable. The only downside for our stay was navigating the poorly kept driveway up to the property.
Very clean and comfortable. Everything we needed for the week and more.well placed for touring the area. It was very quite and peaceful .The track down to the lodge is not a problem if you drive carefully. I would recommend staying here .
We had a wonderful time at Little Lodge and the owners were great. All the little touches were fantastic. The area is quite remote so if looking for somewhere to relax and have peace and quiet this is the place. Highly recommend.
We were delighted with our stay at Little Lodge. When we arrived we were met at the lodge by Kirsty the housekeeper who gave us a warm and friendly welcome. The Lodge itself was spotlessly clean, clearly well looked after and it was the perfect relaxing getaway. Compared to other places we have stayed, Little Lodge goes the extra mile. We will be back.

Little Lodge is fantastic. So cosy and welcoming and exceptionally well kept. A lovely view and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable. Definitely on my list of places I'd be happy to stay again.

The whole experience of the log cabin itself was great fully enjoyed my time there the hosts where warm and friendly and every welcoming the only thing I would have to say is there needs to be clear instructions on what areas are available for the guests staying within the cabins on where they can and cannot walk around as the neighbour to to the site is quite abrupt and rude and this may have issues with some people thinking about returning stays at the site itself
Little lodge was very quite comfortable and spacious, the hot tub was what we wanted out of our stay and it delivered very clean and the neighbours didn't bother you. There wasn't really anywhere close to go walking, we had to travel 10 miles to get to a woodland walks
