Loch Tay Highland Lodge Park Reviews

"Nice lodge, but some hooks and a bit more self-serve needed."
Emma Carter - Mar 2025
"Even though we visited outside peak season, wed still recommend this place. The lodge was a bit worn, with a hole in the floor from the bed, but thats just old wear and tear. Overall, its a decent spot for a stay!"
Emma - Dec 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, the cabin was spotless and gorgeous. The log fire was fantastic and the outdoor fire pit added a lovely touch. Great value overall!"
Jessie - Nov 2024
"The location's fantastic, really couldnt be better. The lodge was decent, though quite cold when we arrived since the heating wasnt on. Charging the electric car was a real bonus, but walking back at night was pretty dark-torch recommended for sure!"
Emma - Oct 2024
"Our Loch Tay Highland Lodge Park review: We stayed here recently and really enjoyed the place - its lovely and the room was super clean. However, the shower was a bit disappointing; its fed from an electric heater under the sink, so the water heat was inconsistent. Also, the kitchen only had a smoke alarm in the bedroom, which unfortunately went faulty during the night, waking us up quite suddenly. Bit of a letdown, but overall, its a decent spot."
Alex - Jul 2024
"Nice stay overall, smooth check-in, on-site amenities were handy and the scenery was stunning with great weather!"
Clara - May 2024
"We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, its quite a lovely place - modern and comfy, with a proper cosy wood burner for chilly nights. The place is pet-friendly, which was a big plus for us, but we did find some dusty spots like the headboard and mirrors, which was a bit annoying. Sadly, this dustiness caused an asthma attack for me, so thats definitely something to watch out for if youre sensitive. The oven was out of order during our stay, which was a bit of a pain and the TV situation was pretty disappointing - we paid for WiFi just to try and get it working, but it never showed up, so we went a whole week without TV. For the price, we think that should really be included. Still, overall, its a nice spot for a relaxing break!"
Emma - Apr 2024
"We had a great 4-night stay in January. The cosy log burner was perfect and the backup electric heaters kept us warm when needed. The snowy hill views were stunning! We dined at the Boathouse on our first night and the staff were super friendly with top-notch service. The linens, towels and bedding were really nice. Only downside was the couches being a bit low for my back, but overall, lovely stay!"
Emma - Jan 2024
"Great staff, lovely spot"
Alexis Carter - Jan 2024
"The lodge was lovely, but we missed some local info around."
Emily Carter - Jul 2023
"We loved this cosy little place! The hot tub and log burner made it extra special. Hosts were lovely, super peaceful. Definitely coming back soon!"
Lucy - May 2025
"We stayed at this place during a rainy December and it was just perfect. The house is super well equipped and kept us really cosy. The bath was lovely and the shower was spacious - we loved both! The location is great, especially if you have dogs that hate fireworks, since its in a quiet spot. The noise from the flight path didnt bother us at all either. Thanks a lot, really enjoyed it!"
Emily Carter - May 2025
"We had such a lovely weekend here, it really ticked all our boxes. The place was cosy and perfect for a relaxing break. Our dogs had a blast, especially with the underfloor heating-Lunas tail wagging all weekend was proof! She even came back with a strained tail, apparently from wagging so much. Well be coming back for sure!"
Emma - May 2025
"The cottage was really charming and perfect for us, tucked away from busy spots. The hot tub was a lovely bonus and the owners were genuinely helpful without being pushy. Theyve got it just right!"
Alex - May 2025
"We had a lovely stay at Goddard's Mead. Rob and Sharon have really put a lot of effort into preserving the charm of this historic building and it shows. They gave us such a warm welcome, along with Bonnie, which made us feel right at home. The locations perfect for exploring Essex; we enjoyed wandering around Thaxted and nearby villages, soaking in the history and beautiful architecture. Definitely recommend for a peaceful escape!"
Emma - May 2025
"We had such a lovely stay in this charming little cottage. The location is really private and peaceful, perfect for unwinding. The owners were super friendly and helpful, always nearby if we needed anything but respecting our privacy. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day of cycling - bliss! Only thing to note is that its right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but if youre sensitive to noise, its something to consider. All in all, a great find!"
Amelia Carter - May 2025
"We recently stayed at this charming cottage on a working farm and it was such a peaceful escape. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are lovely and very welcoming. The place itself is really spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The bed was super comfy and the garden was perfect for our dog-completely secluded and safe, with nice furniture. There are plenty of walks nearby and we loved exploring the area. Thaxted has some cracking restaurants, especially The Star and The Maypole. The Swan and Indian are worth a mention too. Definitely a place wed recommend!"
James - May 2025
"We had such a lovely stay! Sharon and Robert really made us feel at home, which was great. The place was spotless, cosy and safe for our dog Archie, so that was a relief. The location was perfect with loads of nice walks and we loved exploring Thaxted and the nearby villages. By the end of the week, we definitely felt refreshed. It was just what we needed for a relaxing break!"
Emma - May 2025
"We had a fantastic stay! The owners were super friendly and went above and beyond when the storm knocked out the power. The place was spotless, cosy and well stocked. Our dog loved the secure garden and the hot tub was a real treat!"
Jessie - May 2025
"We had a lovely time at this peaceful spot. Sharon and Robert really go the extra mile to make sure everything's just right. Even after two visits, were already planning our next trip back! Would definitely recommend."
Emma Carter - May 2025

"We booked this place for a dog walking break and it was just what we needed. Lovely accommodation, plenty of nearby pubs and restaurants and endless fields for walks. The dog loved it and wouldnt get in the car to leave!"
George - May 2025
"We really enjoyed our stay at this charming cottage. Perfect for some peaceful downtime, though planes at night can be a bit noisy. The hot tub was a treat!"
Claire - May 2025
"We had such a lovely stay at this cosy little cottage! Honestly, we didnt need to pack much because the place is so well equipped. The welcome pack was really handy, packed with all the info and menus - you can tell the owners put a lot of thought into it. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was just perfect after a long day. Sharon and Robe were super quick to reply if we had questions. Thanks for a great break - well definitely be back!"
Alex - May 2025
"We just got back from a wonderful week at Goddards Mead. The cottage had everything we needed and was super comfy. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming. Even on a busy farm, it felt like a peaceful retreat. Loved it!"
Emily - May 2025
"We had such a lovely weekend here! The place was just perfect for what we needed and were already planning to return. Our dogs really enjoyed the garden and the underfloor heating-Luna was wagging her tail so much she strained it! Honestly, it made the whole trip even better. Definitely a place wed recommend to others!"
Jamie - May 2025
"The cottage was really charming and peaceful, perfect for us escaping the busy city. The hot tub was a lovely bonus and the owners were super helpful without being pushy. Theyve got it just right!"
Alex - May 2025
"We had such a lovely stay! The cottage was spotlessly clean and really well stocked with everything we needed. The dog walks right outside made it perfect for our furry friends. The host was super friendly and quick to reply. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a real highlight. Well definitely return, great value! Highly recommend."
