Surrounded by golf courses, rolling hills and woods, and just a short walk from the lively local town of Blairgowrie, this peaceful park is beautifully placed for a variety of activities - from hill walking to pony trekking. It's also close to the Glenshee Ski slopes if you're looking for a fantastic winter break.

There's a good choice of shops, bars and restaurants in Blairgowrie and if you head to Perth, you'll find lots to do and some lovely restaurants - Deans @ Let's Eat offers locally sourced traditional Scottish cooking in a great atmosphere. The area is a golfer's paradise with courses at Gleneagles, St Andrews and Carnoustie all within a short drive.

Blairgowrie offers a choice of luxury caravans and pine lodges, beautifully equipped with flat screen TVs and Freeview. One of our favourites is the contemporary Firs Deluxe Lodge - with room for six people, it has a spacious living area and an outdoor deck with private hot tub.

Sports and activity enthusiasts could head for Nae Limits in Balliniuig for outdoor adventures, including the Adventure Tubes, the River Bugs and white water rafting.

Blairgowrie Holiday Park was very clean, tidy and quiet even though there were children on site they were very well behaved. Although we didn't have a dog It was a very dog friendly resort. The resort is ideal for touring North East Scotland and
Perth is less than fifteen miles away. Would definitely go again but would book a lodge with a hot tub.

The only real downside is the bed in the master bedroom. My wife and I both have back problems and need to lay back on pillows at night and the bed is not wide enough to allow us to do this. Apart from that no problems.

Date of stay: 30th November 2015
The bin in the kitchen is very user-unfriendly. There is no indication as to whether or how waste should be separated into different categories and where this should be disposed of. We had a power outage but this was solved by going outside and finding a trip switch (good job we had packed a torch); also a leak from the velux window in the kitchen area. Sadly the gas fire wasn't working in the lodge but we had been informed of that prior to arrival. These are small points and overall the lodge was ideal for our needs.

Date of stay: 31st October 2015

The Rowans was a very comfortable and warm lodge. There were some chilly nights during the holiday but apart from heating in the bathroom, we did not require additional heating. A home from home.

Date of stay: 16th May 2015
We stayed in a Glen Cova caravan (with the rather inappropriate name of Isis!!) for a week & as caravans go it was one of the most comfortable we've stayed in. We had radiators in all rooms and comfy sofa-type furniture in the lounge, rather than the usual bench seats. We did have a slight problem with the boiler one day but it was dealt with quickly whilst we were out. The caravan was spotlessly clean on our arrival and there was a small enclosed decking area with picnic table, just a pity the weather wasn't nice enough for us to make use of this.
The site is fairly small & very well maintained and very quiet & peaceful, but it was during term time although many moons ago we did visit when the children were younger & I don't remember it being noisy then either. There is no shop on site but there is a co-op just a few minutes walk away and larger supermarkets in Blairgowrie itself.
We have been to this site several times over the years and would definitely visit again, its within easy driving of Dunkeld, Pitlochry, Perth & Dundee so ideal and there's a lovely walk from the site along the river into the town. The only slight negative (for us) was not having free wifi like the lodges.
Robin, Taunton
Date of stay: 10th April 2015

As stated above - no complaints about the lodge itself - ideal when you've been out all day, although a proper bath would be nice.
William, Nr Kilmarnock
Date of stay: 6th February 2015
We were only in the caravan for a short time till we were upgraded to a Rowan Lodge. But the caravan was rated as above.
Amber, Grangemouth
Date of stay: 16th January 2015
The lodge itself was gorgeous, photos don't do it justice, we walked into it and we're blown away with how lovely and big the lodge is. Very homely, we didn't want to leave. When cleaning the lodge on the last day we did find wrappers and some belongings from the last guests, but apart from that the lodge was spotless, very much can tell it is looked after.
Paul, Aberdeen

Just what we like, a quiet secluded holiday lodge, away fromit all, but within easy distance of towns, cities, countryside pursuits. Just loved the lodge we stayed in, a bit pricey, but out of this world living standards.

Date of stay: 26th July 2014
Our family enjoyed a great holiday at Blairgowrie, our 3yr old daughter particularly enjoyed the play parks. Staff were very helpful recommending days out.
Faye, New Pitsligo
Date of stay: 12th July 2014
Decking area was ideal for our toddler, we bought a padlock for gate to ensure she couldn't get out and was able to play outside safely. Picnic table meant we could enjoy the sunny weather. TV signal on bbc was terrible. Wi-Fi connection was not good either and we paid £15 for the week. There were times when we were unable to connect or connection poor. No shop on site which would have been handy.
Steve, Whitburn West Lothian

Great accommodation for our purposes (4 night break with spaniel) - spotless, everything functioning, cosy and good sized modern tv for relaxing in the evenings after days out/dog walks. Bedrooms/furnishings perfectly adequate for a holiday break. Didnt want to go home..

Would 100% recommend this holiday to anyone thoroughly enjoyed ourselves
Lynn
We loved it and have recommended it already! Will come again!
Nicholas
My wife and I have been to Blairgowrie a lot over the last few years. This time we went for a break over the Christmas week, mainly for the peace and quiet. We usually take out a lodge but this time went for a caravan and it was great. We actually found the caravan to be more comfortable than the lodge. We will certainly rent a caravan again. Although we kept fairly local this time, there is plenty to do in the area when things start opening again. We have been going for years and still haven't seen everything there is to see or done everything there is to do.
Patricia
The staff were kind & friendly. The facility was clean & tidy. The location was ideal for my needs.
Ann
It was a lovely experience. The lodge was very well furnished and it had everything we needed.
James
Well maintained and warm especially at this time of year. Quiet site.
Kirsty
Peace and quiet great surroundings lovely see wildlife great relaxing along with hottub
Laura
Amazing, so peaceful and quiet, the hot tub was so relaxing and enjoyed a walk into the little town
Nicola
We stayed in the Larches Deluxe lodge, sleeping 8 with hot tub, the lodge it's self was amazing, we visited for a girly birthday weekend. The helpfulness of the staff was second to none, from check in to being helped to our lodge with our bags after being dropped at reception, nothing was too much hassle. Hot Tub was checked twice daily which didn't happen in other lodges that I have visited with hot tubs. Will definitely visit again, my only recommendation would be to fit some anti slip matting near the hot tub, the decking gets extremely slippy and even with shoes on it doesn't prevent slipping.

Active Kid Adventure Park is the place to go if you have energetic children and are looking for a fun day out. The site boasts many attractions including a Zip Line, Target Football, Go Karts, Play Areas, Pony Rides and Crazy Golf. There are also some friendly farm animals to meet including a docile Donkey. So much more than a garden centre this place is ideal for a fun family day out in Angus. The garden centre stocks a huge range of plants, outdoor furniture and gardening equipment and also has a café serving tasty home made meals, cakes and snacks. The site has a large outdoor play area for children an ornamental pond and country park to explore. Halloween and Bonfire night's events are coming up soon. The annual Fireworks Display is really spectacular.
