Tilford Woods Lodge Retreat Reviews

"The lodge is in a great spot, perfect for peaceful walks around the pond and nearby. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Its true, the place could do with a bit of sprucing up, but we enjoyed it!"
David - Mar 2025
"Great spot for a relaxed holiday getaway."
Charlie - Mar 2025
"We had a fantastic stay at Tilfords Darwin Escapes. The mornings were made special by the ducks, geese and squirrels bustling around while we enjoyed breakfast. The lodge was well-equipped for self-catering and the staff were genuinely friendly. Definitely a relaxing getaway!"
Mark - Mar 2025
"Nice, comfy place"
Emma Carter - Mar 2025
"Our Tilford Woods Lodge Retreat review: Great stay, very cosy and dog-friendly. Kitchen had everything needed."
Emma Carter - Feb 2025
"We had a lovely stay at Tilford Lodge Retreat - perfect if youre after some peace and quiet. The location is great, right next to a huge golf course with plenty of bridle paths for walks. Theres a charming pub just next door and a short stroll to a small coffee shop plus a convenience store, which was handy. The lodges are well-equipped and we really appreciated the underfloor heating and dishwasher - definitely a plus! The only thing is parkings a bit tight with just one space per lodge, though you can sometimes snag a visitor spot. The lodges are quite close together, so we did get woken up early by neighbours chatting outside our window, but I guess its just luck with whos staying there. Overall, wed happily come back!"
Harper - Feb 2025
"The place was super comfy and cosy, made us wish we had more time. Peaceful vibes all around. We didnt get to explore much, but its stunning here!"
Emma Carter - Dec 2024
"Really enjoyed the stay, would definitely return."
Emily Carter - Nov 2024
"We had such a lovely stay at the lodge! It was spotless and super comfy. The kitchen was fully stocked, with little touches like washing up liquid and a tea towel, which was great. The hot tub was a real highlight and the bed was so cosy. We did have a minor issue with the shower when we arrived, but Adam sorted it out quickly and was really helpful. The pub next door serves fantastic food and were already looking forward to coming back!"
Emma Roberts - Nov 2024
"Great spot, perfect for a quick getaway, loved it!"
Emily Carter - Nov 2024
"We had another lovely stay at Tilford Woods Lodge Retreat. Everything you could want is right there under one roof and the hot tub is always a nice touch. Its our go-to spot for chilling out and escaping the daily grind. Plenty of activities nearby to keep us busy too. Cant wait to come back! Definitely recommend it for anyone needing a peaceful getaway. Looking forward to our next visit!"
Emma - Nov 2024
"The lodge was generally tidy and served its purpose well. Some areas looked a bit worn out and could use a refresh, but it didnt really affect our stay. We enjoyed a peaceful, quiet weekend, which was exactly what we needed. Not bad at all!"
Martin - Oct 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was spotless and peaceful, just what we needed for a chill weekend."
Emma Carter - Aug 2024
"We loved how the big glass doors in both the bedroom and sitting area let the outdoors flow right in. Its perfect for relaxing on the deck, soaking up the scenery and spotting wildlife. The peaceful vibe makes it a lovely spot for a quiet romantic getaway for two. Truly, a special place!"
James - Aug 2024
"We really enjoyed the peaceful setting with ducks wandering nearby, but honestly, the lodge could do with some sprucing up and a bit of maintenance. Still, a lovely spot overall!"
Sam - Jul 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. Plenty of space for us three and the modern bathroom was a nice touch. The kitchen had all we needed, even if there wasnt a washing machine. Would stay again!"
Emma - Jun 2024
"The lodge is really comfy, but honestly, its missing basic things like a cafetiere and it looks a bit tired. Still, the setting is absolutely lovely, so we enjoyed it!"
Emma Carter - May 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay here! The location is perfect, right beside the duck pond and it's so peaceful and private. The lodge had everything we needed and it was spotless. The furniture might be a bit old-fashioned, but it didnt ruin our comfort at all. Plus, being close to a lovely golf course with stunning views and a nice pub next door made it even better. Great spot for exploring the area!"
Emma - May 2024
"It's nice to return, but I did notice some things feel a bit outdated. The welcome pack isn't the same anymore-no more dishwasher tablets or biscuits, which was a shame really. Still, a lovely stay overall."
Emily Carter - Apr 2024
"We had a lovely weekend here-so peaceful and relaxing. Definitely recommend and well be coming back soon!"
Jamie - Apr 2024
"We found the place super tidy and cosy, plenty of room to unwind. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly and the sauna plus hot tub really helped us chill out nicely."
James - Apr 2024
"We loved the peaceful vibe of the site and the lodge was super cosy and warm. Bathroom was modern with fluffy towels, though decor felt a bit dated. Overall, a very comfy stay, wed come back!"
Emma Carter - Mar 2024
"We had such a lovely stay here! It was our first time taking the dogs on holiday and everything went smoothly. The cabin was cosy, the surroundings beautiful and the staff super friendly. The grandkids loved it too - well be back!"
Emma Carter - Mar 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay here! The area is stunning, with plenty of birds singing all around. The lodge was super well-stocked, making it easy to settle in. We brought some DVDs for cosy movie nights, which was perfect. The shop in reception has a few essentials - handy! There are lovely walks to Frensham Pond and the pub on the corner is great for a drink, even if its always busy - thats usually a good sign, right? Well definitely come back."
Harriet - Mar 2024
"We stayed in the lodge back in January and honestly, it was just what we needed. The staff were genuinely friendly and always ready to help if we had questions. Inside, the lodge was spotless, warm and really well-equipped - everything we needed was there. The best part? The view over the duck pond was absolutely lovely, perfect for some peaceful downtime. Even though we didnt explore much outside, the location worked great for us as a base to visit nearby places. The park itself is right next to a golf course, which meant quick access to a peaceful woodl and walk - lovely for a bit of fresh air. Theres also a small shop on site with all the basics. Our lodge had the best spot, overlooking the pond and Id definitely recommend it if youre after a calm, relaxing break. Wed go back for sure!"
Jessica H. - Feb 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay here! The lodge was spotless and well-equipped, with everything from tea and coffee to washing up liquid. The bed was a bit on the small side, but overall, it was a lovely experience!"
Emma - Feb 2024
"We loved the cosy log cabin, set in such a beautiful spot. The nearby historic towns are charming and the ducks were a lovely touch. Thanks for the great memories!"

"We love coming here because of the peaceful pond setting and watching the wildlife, especially the ducks. The cabins got a lovely four-poster bed and a sauna, which we often enjoy. Its really a nice place to relax and unwind, definitely a favourite spot."
