Willow Bay Country Park Reviews

"We had a lovely break, but honestly, we should have stayed longer!"
James - Aug 2020
"We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge! Its clearly well thought out, with plenty of hand sanitiser and surface cleaner, which we appreciated. The kitchen was a good size and well equipped, making cooking easy. The living space was super comfy. Only downside was the curtains - they let in quite a bit of light, so our little one struggled to sleep. Might bring a blackout blind next time!"
Sam - Jul 2020
"Very comfy lodge, exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway!"
Harper - Jul 2020
"Great stay, would recommend it!"
Emily Carter - Jul 2020
"Our Willow Bay Country Park review: Despite the rainy spell, we had an amazing week! It was so lovely to be together after four months apart. The staff at the park were really attentive and made us feel safe all the time. Definitely a great spot for a peaceful 'home away from home' experience!"
Emma - Jul 2020
"We really enjoyed our stay overall, but a few things did catch us out. The washer and dryer combo was pretty tricky without clear instructions, which was a bit frustrating. The lodge itself was lovely and spotless, though we did find a fur ball behind the sofa and under the bins, making us wonder if a proper deep clean was missed - especially with COVID protocols. The bathroom tap leaked, but the maintenance team fixed it quickly, so no big deal there. The bi-fold doors were a bit of a mystery to open, so we couldnt use them, which was a shame. On the plus side, loved the drinks cabinet, the bedrooms were stunning, especially the master en suite and the hot tub was fantastic!"
Emma - Jul 2020
"Nice place, would stay again"
James - Jul 2020
"Perfect spot for unwinding and a great starting point to discover Devon and Cornwall!"
Emma - Jul 2020
"We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It was super clean and comfy, with a big enclosed deck that our dog loved. The hot tub was a lovely bonus and it was clear the owners had thought of everything, even a torch for those late walks. Having a washing machine and dishwasher made things so much easier too. Definitely recommend!"
Emily - Oct 2019
"Absolutely loved our stay here! The lodge was perfect, faultless really. Cant wait to return!"
Emma - Oct 2019

Emma - Jan 1970
"Despite the weather not being perfect, we had an amazing week together after being apart for four months. The staff at the park were really attentive to our safety, which we appreciated. Its a lovely, peaceful spot-definitely a home from home wed recommend to anyone!"
Emma - Jan 1970
"Really enjoyed the break, though in hindsight, we should've booked for longer!"
Alex - Jan 1970
"We really enjoyed our stay, but with summer coming, we're worried about the prices during school holidays! Maybe next time."

"Really enjoyed our stay, the lodge had everything we needed and more."
Harper - Jan 1970
"Beautiful place, would come again"
Emma - Jan 1970
"We really enjoyed our stay, but there were a few tiny issues. The washer and dryer combo was pretty complicated and lacked instructions, which was a bit frustrating. The kitchen was quite sparse on cooking supplies, probably because of COVID restrictions, so if there had been more guests, we might have struggled a bit. The bathroom tap did leak, but maintenance sorted it out quickly-kudos to them! We did notice some fur under the sofa and bins, which made us wonder if a proper deep clean was done, especially with COVID protocols. The bi-folding doors were tricky to open, so unfortunately, we couldnt use them. Loved the drinks cabinet and the bedrooms, especially the master en suite. The hot tub was fantastic-definitely a highlight!"
Emma - Jan 1970
"Nice place, would stay again"
Chris - Jan 1970
"This lodge really exceeded our expectations, honestly. The whole experience was fantastic and we can't wait to return!"
Emma - Jan 1970
"We had a really nice stay and felt completely at ease. The lodge's enclosed fence kept the dogs safe, which was a huge plus. Only a short drive from Bude-definitely planning to come back someday!"
Emma - Jan 1970
"We had a fantastic stay! The lodge was spotless and super comfy, with a big enclosed deck perfect for our dog. The hot-tub was definitely a highlight. Its clear the owners really considered everything, even giving us a torch for late walks since the park gets quite dark. Plus, having a washing machine and dishwasher was a real bonus. Loved it!"
Michael - Jan 1970
"Really enjoyed our stay, the peaceful setting made it perfect for relaxing. Definitely recommend!"
Emma - Jan 1970
"Great holiday, would definitely do again"
Emma - Jan 1970
"We really enjoyed our stay, but some clearer signs near or opposite the Red Post box would have made finding the park a bit easier. Still, lovely stay overall!"
Emma - Jan 1970
"We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. Its thoughtfully designed, with plenty of hand sanitiser and surface cleaner which was reassuring. The kitchen was a decent size and well equipped, making cooking easy. The living area was super comfy. Only thing was the curtains let in quite a bit of light, so our toddler struggled to sleep without a blackout blind. Lesson learned!"
Alex - Jan 1970
"Great spot, really chilled out vibe."
Emma - Jan 1970
"Everything was fabulous, the staff, the bungalow was clean and tidy, plenty of space, garden was clean and well kept, hut tub was clean and maintained correctly. The staff were helpful and accommodating. No complaints at all."
Mark - Jul 2022
"Amazing site, wonderfully quiet and very well kept. Would highly recommend."
Clare - Jul 2022
"We had a really pleasant stay. The park has stunning surroundings and when we went wasn’t particularly busy. My only negative were perhaps the lack of some basic amenities like toilet rolls (only 1 provided per bathroom) and soap in the lodge (thankfully we took some with us). Wi-Fi on site isn’t the best - but they do state that. Barely any of the networks get a signal, and it is a drive to get to anywhere locally. Ideal if you want a quiet break away from it all and are happy with driving places."
Steve - Jul 2022
"Fantastic accommodation very clean staff are amazing and always happy to help beautiful woodland walk on site 15 minutes from Bude town and beach will definitely be going back :)"
Niva - Jun 2022
"We had a lovely 4 nights stay here! The park was so quite and very relaxing and our lodge was super clean!"
April - Jun 2022
"Beautiful and quite place. Clean and comfortable bungalow ."
Zanna - Jun 2022
"Didn’t see any staff"
Nicola - May 2022
