Blossom Lodge at 1 Roadford Lake Lodges Reviews

Laura - Jul 2025
Huge and tastefully decorated lodge. Had a lovely time here with family. Weather was amazing. Bedding lovely and clean. Home from home. No parasol. The broken stand hidden behind the hot tub shrubs. Was really needed in heatwave weather. Lovely wine fridge. Very peaceful and the site was spotless. Very strange collection of odds and sods kitchen equipment. But what you needed. Very little mugs, no broom, not enough toilet rolls, and no dog poo bags or anything for the dog to drink or eat out of even though we paid for her to stay at the lodge. Always had dog treats in other lodges. For a dog friendly lodge. No proper fence to keep her safe.. on holiday so having to watch her every move outside. Never had this at other sites. The hot tub was used the first night. Appeared clean, but had a tide mark. I kept saying to my husband- it felt greasy sat in there. Following day I lifted the cover to find a disgusting mess. Oily gunk coating on the water and sludge and grease in multiple tide marks around the tub. It was disgusting.. the site manager visited and did apologise, and tried to blame it on a recent burst water pipe up the road. Which is nonsense because a burst main would not be carrying anything thick in grease. Obviously the hot tub hadnt been flushed through properly since the last party of guests. The previous week was hot, so the guests must have been in and out of the hot tub wearing sunscreen. To be honest, I found it quite gross, but tried to forget it and still had a good time.
Shane - Apr 2025
Booked for my daughters 16th for her to have a gathering with a few of her friends. Lovely location. Hot tub was nice and big and hot too! Would love to have a map available of the walk around the lake as we got lost after 2hrs walking haha Will be booking again sometime point soon for sure.
Russell - Jan 2025
Had a lovely Christmas week away with the family 6 adults and 2 kids. Plenty of room good size bedrooms, hot tub a bonus we used it everyday. Definitely recommend.
Julie - Jan 2025
I would easily recommend this holiday company, lodge and location. From start to end it was perfect! The lodge is a very generous size. Well done to the housekeeping team, the lodge was spotlessly clean, it gave you the feel that you were the first guest there.. We had a massive hot tub too which was maintained regularly by one of the park staff.. This lodge is a pet friendly lodge which my dog really enjoyed. It was literally being home from home, I would most definitely like to return. Thank you for having us!
Guest - Oct 2024
Had a lovely stay for our daughters wedding which was at roadford lake. Overall very good but needed to be a bit more to be luxury, the bedding wasn't luxury to me especially the pillows. And needs a general decorating especially in the lounge. The kitchen is lovely but the cooker needs some tlc and the kettle needs replacing. Hot tub was good.
Claire - Mar 2024
We had a lovely stay and found everything we required at the lodge. It was easy to find and good communication on key code and information. The lodge was warm and comfortable and had enough for 8 people to stay regarding kitchen utilities. We enjoy cooking so this was very good. Bed comfortable, clean and plenty of towels. Our son turned up for a couple of days with his dog, outside area great for him. We feel it would of been safer to have enclosed garden as he could get out which maybe an issue for some but he is well trained so not too much of a problem. We did take extra items as in toilet roll, bin liners and tea towel- few other items which were needed as not enough in lodge. Loved the Hot Tub which was another reason we enjoyed the lodge. We did worry about it being on and if we needed to turn it off as we had not used one before. We didnt touch any buttons and left it and it was lovely to use. The lodge we felt is safe and secure, a lovely quiet area and we will return.
Steve - Feb 2024
I booked to 8 berth cabins and both were faultless. I had 16 people sailing for the first time on the lake and they all enjoyed the luxury of cabins and the hot tubs after a day on the lake. I didnt have any interaction with any staff of site but that was due to the team on the phone that I organised things with. All absolutely wonderful. Jake the coffee shop manager even opened up a hour early for us so we could grab a breakfast and packed lunches and get to lake to meet with our instructor on time Cant wait to go again next year.
Alyce - Dec 2023
The title says it all, we certainly had a blast! We stayed at Blossom 1 as 4 couples having a lovely weekend away without the kids. It was perfect, the lodge was immaculately clean and modern, it had all the facilities we needed and the location was great for us to go and have a walk along the lake. I would highly recommend this location and would 100% go back.
Sadia - Nov 2023
Lovely stay, cute lodges, with modern facilities! Will definitely be returning in the near future.
David - Oct 2023
We had a great short holiday in the lodge which was presented to a high standard. The staff were helpful and friendly. thanks to all.
Kristy - Oct 2023
Beautiful lodge. Lodge layout and space was perfect for 4 adults and 4 growing boys. The decor is lovely, very modern and plush. The outside space was just what we needed, double doors leading to a paved area with large round table (space for all to eat) and hot tub. Beautiful view right out on to the field, no sheep for us though but a spectacular sunrise both mornings. The location was great. We took a couple walks around the lake, it was so peaceful. The site was quiet. Nowhere in walking distance (that we noticed) to eat but we took food for the whole weekend so we didnt need to (or want to) leave. We used the gym, which had everything we needed. The price for the weekend was very reasonable. We will definitely return here.
Janet - Sep 2023
Blossom Lodge on the Roadford Lake holiday lodge site was ideal for a family break. The accommodation was perfect and the site quiet but had everything we needed. The hot tub was used every night by all of us, not all at the same time. As a base to use for visiting all the sites of both counties it was ideally situated being about 45 to 60 minutes for everywhere. We found good eating out establishments and also used the kitchen to cook a meal for us all on one of the evenings. The lodge was beautiful and I could have lived in it permanently but maybe we will visit again in the future. I would like to thank the booking agent and the site staff for helping to recover an item that was left behind and sending it on to our home, that was greatly appreciated as it was a child's present.
Hannah - Aug 2023
We had a great stay at blossom lodge our kids keep asking to go back. The lodge was cosy and felt like home for the week. Location was great to access the A30.
Sharon - Jul 2023
We had a fantastic stay at Blossom lodge. The location of the lodge was perfect as it was peaceful and scenic. The lodge was clean, spacious and beautifully decorated throughout. The hot tub was a relaxing way to end each day and we will definitely be coming back soon.
Clare - Jun 2023
There was nothing with the property that we could fault, it was the perfect location for a well deserved weekend break for myself and my friends to celebrate my birthday. The only disappointment for us was on the Sunday morning, we woke up to the beautiful field beyond our lodge being used as a carpark for the Triathlon event at the lake, we felt too overlooked to enjoy our breakfast outside, it would have been nice to have been informed of this taking place, it was a bit of a shock to have so many vehicles and people so close to our outside space.
