Enjoyed a lovely 5 day break with my wife, two kids and mother in law. Lodge was well sited, immaculate, incredibly clean, well equipped and so comfy. Poured down one day and enjoyed a day at the lodge, in and out of the hot tub, playing the provided games, utilising the kitchen and listening to music through the smart TV's. The most relaxing of days. Nice walk by the lake and a super friendly café.
Stayed here while hosting a workshop at Roadford Lake and it was the perfect base for a mixed group. We were able to cater for ourselves and the rooms were all very comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy and well laid out. Would love to see it in Summer, and wish we'd had time to make use of the hot tub.
This is a fantastic lodge and set up for 8 adults in every way. Enough chairs at the table, comfortable sofas, room in the hot tub. Its a gem of a lodge, clean, comfortable and set in a lovely location. This is my second visit and will be back again.
I recommend, you can relax in peace and quiet. The facility is very clean and well-kept and most importantly it is safe and friendly for children.
Had an amazing week at Roadford Lodges, we stayed in Juniper lodge and must say, the lodge was beautiful, clean and had everything our big family of 6 could need (especially the hot tub) Entry and exit was seamless, location stunning and right on the edge of the lake. Family thoroughly enjoyed it and we will be back!
Fantastic lodge and great outside Would have loved to receive a welcome pack and locally sourced goodies ie Strawberry Fields Farm Shop especially as this is classed as luxury lodges. Plastic milk, a few tea bags, coffee sachets really is an no no, apart from that everything we needed.
Good size cabin and hottub. Great walks around the lake/woods. Shame it's miles away from any supermarket,I guess you can't have it all.
We had a 4 bed which was great for 6 of us but may be a bit small for 8. Lovely site, Juniper Lodge is one of the better locations as no passing cars so hot tub is more private. Well kitted out in the kitchen. Bedrooms nice and a good size. Tiny tv’s in bedrooms which wasn’t a problem for us as we didn’t need them on. Lovely bathrooms. Wine fridge was well used! Great sized oven and 5 ring bob. Very clean. Lovely walks around Roadford Lake. A no hassle stay. Great value for money, would recommend . Easy to find from A30.
The lodge is perfect, We stayed as a group of 8, 2 families. It is well equipped with anything you could possibly need. The large communal area including the living room, dining room and kitchen was a great space so that we could all be together and it wasn't cramped. The lodge was clean and tidy and the kids enjoyed every minute. It is a quiet location, we enjoyed walking round the lake and the cafe on site was really lovely, staff friendly, we look forward to staying again soon, hopefully in the summer as the kids were itching to get in the hot tub! Thank you for a great stay!
Excellent location. Comfortable lodge and everything we required was there. We would have welcomed better quality towels in the bathroom and also the noise of the Jacuzzi kept us awake all night !!!
Enjoyed our time in Devon at Roadford Lakes. Very impressed with the facilities. Kids loved the hot tub.
This was our first visit. (Group of 8 - 2 families of 4). We loved everything about it! The lodge was everything we had hoped for plus more! Very well equipped with everything you would need for your stay - washing up liquid, hand wash, dish washer tablet, parasol for the garden furniture, clothes horse, WiFi etc. We were all very impressed with the constant flow of hot water. The lodge was fresh, modern and spacious. The location was perfect with stunning views. I will definitely book the Juniper Lodge again.

The Milky Way is a family-run adventure park on a former dairy farm near Bideford. It has more than 110,000 sq ft of indoor attractions as well as acres of outdoor space, so a day here works whatever the weather. The National Marine Aquarium sits in Sutton Harbour, near the Barbican in Plymouth. You'll see local sharks, rays and octopus, a jellyfish exhibit, and a huge Atlantic tank holding around 1,000 Caribbean fish, with lemon and sand tiger sharks.

Adrenalin Quarry is a family-owned adventure park in Menheniot, built around an old flooded quarry. It offers five rides: an inflatable aquapark for ages 6 and over, go karting on an 800m all-weather track for ages 7 and over, a zip wire that is 50m high and 490m long, a giant swing 150ft above the lake, and axe throwing for ages 12 and over.
Tip: You can book all rides online ahead, or just turn up for the zip and the giant swing.

Screech Owl Sanctuary & Animal Park is a home for owls and other animals on Goss Moor, near Indian Queens in mid Cornwall. Founded in 1990 by Carolyn Screech, it shows owls from around the world, with British, European, African, American, Asian, Australasian and West Indian species. It also rescues and rehabilitates wild owls in Cornwall, and there is a Siberian Eagle Owl breeding project.

Lutyens designed England's last castle, a granite home above the Teign Gorge with gardens and walks.
Castle Drogo is a country house and mixed-revivalist castle near Drewsteignton, built between 1911 and 1930 and known as the last castle built in England. Edwin Lutyens designed it for Julius Drewe, the founder of the Home and Colonial Stores. It is built of granite and overlooks the Teign Gorge. The castle is Grade I listed and the gardens are Grade II* listed.
Tip: The car park has limited spaces, so if it is full, come back another time rather than parking along the drive, which blocks farm vehicles.

A Victorian country house, colourful gardens and almost 1,000 acres of parkland and woodland to explore above the River Fowey.
Lanhydrock is a Victorian family home inside a Jacobean mansion, once lived in by the Agar-Robartes family. Most of the interiors were rebuilt after a fire in 1881. Inside, you can see the Long Gallery with its ornate ceiling, and families can play in the refurbished Victorian nursery.
Tip: It is busiest between 11am and 2pm, so arrive later in the day for a quieter visit and shorter queues for the house.
