The local area is perfect for exploring.  Some of our favourite days out in this region include Lightwater Valley Theme Park in Ripon (13 miles away) and The Forbidden Corner in Coverham (13 miles away).  Nature lovers will love Thorp Perrow Arboretum in Bedale - just 8 miles from the lodges.  Here  you can see an array of birds and mammals in a woodland garden setting.  This place also boasts some of the largest and rarest trees and shrubs in England. The large lake and picnic area for ideal relaxing.
