Black Hall Lodges Reviews

"Everything was fine"
Viktor - Sep 2025
"We enjoyed our stay here for 7 nights! The children loved the pool/ play room and the play area outside! It wasnt until the last day where we noticed the play area in the barn. (by the bins) The lodge was well equipped and had everything you needed. Wifi was great. Hot tub was great. We didnt actually speak to any staff. The keys are outside the reception in a shelf and then you put these here when leaving so. The location is in a quiet location. Not much around so we just made the most of it. Knighton town is quite quiet too. We did eat at The Banc and Knight and Jockey which was also lovely. Many shops arent open everyday. There are some lovely walks and a park in the town too. We did a Tesco delivery too. Overall it was a lovely stay! I would recommend :) Cons - Flys and Wasps all the time!! These did our heading after afew days. Staff are trying to help by having fly catches etc around but I feel maybe some net curtain on the patio doors would help to try and keep them out rather than. Food had to be covered at all times so again, maybe having some food covers in the cupboard would be a good idea. Advertising- I feel like the play barn could be advertised more, maybe in the welcome pack, in this area they also do bbqs, coal etc which we didnt know until too late. The welcome pack could contain abit more information of the park and the area etc."
Kerry - Jul 2025

"Our Black Hall Lodges review: Again flies only issue but killed about 20 odd flies in first night. Same number then in lodge following day."
Christopher - May 2025
"Fabulous lodge and amazing big views! Loved the outside space and balcony.Only slight negative was the kitchen surfaces werent very clean with crumbs and toilets werent as clean as we would have liked but other than that was great!"

Dianna - Mar 2025
"We booked a stay at the Superior Lodge during the February school holidays in Wales and honestly, it was just what we needed! As a family of four, with two lively kids and tired parents, plus the grandparents, the place had plenty of room for everyone to spread out without feeling cramped. The decor was lovely, super cosy and it had everything we could ask for to keep things stress-free - including a log fire that really made us feel like we were outdoors. The hot tub? Absolutely fantastic. Sitting in the bubbles under the stars was one of those rare moments when everyone just shut up and took it all in - probably the first time in ages! The clubhouse was a real highlight too; the pool was perfect for both the kids and adults, with just the right temperature (no freezing parents!). After a long day of hiking, the steam room and sauna were pure bliss. And we loved being able to watch the pool from the sauna - multitasking at its best! Overall, it was a brilliant family getaway in such a stunning location. Wed definitely come back - maybe without the kids next time, just to really unwind!"
Ellie - Mar 2025
"We stayed at the Superior Lodge during the Welsh February school holidays, and honestly, it was just what we needed! As a family of four (two excitable kids and two very tired parents) plus the grandparents, the lodge had plenty of space for all of us to spread out without getting under each others feet. It was beautifully decorated, super cosy, and had everything we needed for a stress-free breakincluding a log fire that made us feel very outdoorsy. The hot tub? Absolute magic. Sitting in the bubbles, looking up at the clearest night sky weve seen, was one of those rare moments where everyone just went quiet and took it all inprobably the first time thats happened in ages! The clubhouse has the best facilities weve come across! The pool was the perfect depth for both little ones and grown-ups, and the heating was on point (no freezing parents standing on the side-lines). The steam room and sauna were an absolute dream after a long day of hiking. Bonus points for being able to spy on the pool from the saunamulti-tasking at its finest! All in all, it was a brilliant family getaway in a stunning location. Would 100% return possibly without the kids next time for maximum relaxation!"
Cara - Mar 2025

"We stayed at Inari 2 for a week in September with our 11-month-old and our dog. Honestly, its one of the best self-catering places weve ever been to - super well equipped. The lodges are smartly placed so youre not overlooked, which was great. The location is stunning, with plenty of walks nearby. The leisure facilities were always spotless and peaceful and we used them every day without sharing with anyone. Well definitely come back!"
Jamie - Sep 2024
"Winnipeg lodge is just the perfect family base. Spacious and well appointed, modern yet traditional canadian lodge. "Lovely relaxing holiday. Very clean lodge. Great walks & views on Offa's Dyke.
