Love2Stay Shrewsbury Reviews

"Great place for families; we really enjoyed the hot tub and sauna."
Emma-Louise - Mar 2025
"We really enjoyed our stay. The kids loved the activities, especially the kids club. Were definitely thinking of coming back in summer! Wouldve loved to try archery though."
Emma Carter - Feb 2025
"We had a lovely stay overall. The lodge was really nice, though having to use the sofa bed was a bit of a pain. The hot tub was spotless and well looked after, with tests done twice daily - definitely a plus! The only downside was the lack of drying space for all the wet towels from the kids and hot tub, but we found a laundry room upstairs eventually. The staff at reception were fantastic, making our four-night break even better!"
Emma - Feb 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was super cosy, perfect for relaxing after days out. Kids loved the hot tub and marshmallows, which was a lovely touch. Great location too, easy to get around. Would definitely come back!"
James - Feb 2025
"Our Love2Stay Shrewsbury review: We had a fantastic weekend with the family! The facilities were spotless and well maintained. Staff were super friendly and always eager to help. The dog agility course was a hit and the kids loved it. Truly a great place for a relaxing break!"
Emma Carter - Feb 2025
"Great service, would recommend!"
Emma - Nov 2024

"Really enjoyed the stay"
Sam - Oct 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, would definitely come back again."
Oliver - Oct 2024
"Great spot, loved the vibe, will return."
Emma - Apr 2024
"Very smooth booking process indeed"
Alex - Apr 2024
"The lodge was really nice with great facilities, but there was no evening entertainment."
Emily - Apr 2024
"Comfortable and lovely stay"
Emma Clarke - Mar 2024
"The place was really well-equipped, especially the kitchen which had pretty much everything we needed, even if some utensils felt a bit basic. The bathroom and lounge were super plush with loads of cushions and blankets. The downstairs bed was a bit small for a couple but still comfy!"
Emily - Mar 2024
"We had a fantastic stay! The place was absolutely spotless and well thought out, with everything we could possibly need. The hot tub was checked and PH balanced regularly, which was a lovely touch. We tried to keep it tidy and returned it pretty much how we found it, even with our two dogs. Honestly, it was a really enjoyable experience and wed definitely recommend it. Definitely a five-star stay in our book!"
Olivia Carter - Feb 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay! The underfloor heating was such a treat, kept us cosy all night long."
Emma - Feb 2024
"We stayed for a quick getaway and honestly, it was a mixed bag. The lodge was really lovely and the facilities for dogs are fantastic, which was a big plus for us. The hot tub was private but, annoyingly, youre still overlooked by others, so thats a bit of a letdown. The food in the cafe was tasty but a bit on the pricey side - expected at a holiday camp though. Our teenagers werent too impressed with the assault course - they finished way faster than expected and werent keen to redo it. We had to drag them into some board games, which they reluctantly played. Overall, a decent short break, especially if youre after a relaxed vibe for young families or couples."
Emma - Feb 2024
"We mainly grabbed coffee and pizza takeaway. The pizza was pricey but really tasty. Feels more like a cafe than a sit-down place, so we went to nearby pubs instead."
Emma - Nov 2023
"Really impressed with this place! Everythings brand new and high quality, theyve truly thought of everything."
Emily - Jul 2023
"The cottage was stunning, especially with the hot tub and log burner. Hosts were lovely, very peaceful spot. Were already planning to come back!"
Lucy - May 2025
"We stayed at this place during a rainy December and it was just perfect! The house is really well kitted out and kept us super warm, which was a relief. The bath was fantastic and the shower is decent too. Its in a quiet spot, so no noise from the planes or fireworks, even better for dogs that hate them. Lovely conversion and great location overall. Thanks a lot!"
Lucy - May 2025
"We had a fantastic weekend here! The place really ticked all the boxes for us and well definitely return. Our dogs couldnt get enough of the underfloor heating and the garden - Luna was wagging her tail so much she strained it! Honestly, happy pups, happy us. Such a lovely spot, highly recommend for a cosy getaway!"
James - May 2025
"We had a lovely stay at Goddard's Mead. Rob and Sharon put so much effort into beautifully restoring this historic place and they couldnt have been warmer hosts. Bonnie was adorable too! The location is spot on in Essex, perfect for exploring Thaxted and the surrounding villages. We really enjoyed wandering around and soaking up the history. Its a cosy, welcoming spot that ticks all the boxes for a relaxing getaway. Definitely recommend!"
Emma J. - May 2025
"We had such a lovely stay at this good place! The location is super private and beautiful, perfect for relaxing. The owners were really friendly and always there if we needed anything, but they respected our privacy completely. The hot tub was a real treat after long days out cycling. Only thing to note is that the cottage is quite close to Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didnt ruin our holiday at all. Wed definitely go back!"
Raj - May 2025
"What a lovely find! The cottage, nestled on a working farm, offers plenty of privacy, which we really appreciated. Robert and Sharon, the hosts, are genuinely charming and friendly. The place itself is super spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that made our stay even better. The gardens perfect for dogs and has nice furniture to relax on. Plenty of scenic walks nearby and some cracking restaurants in Thaxted-The Star and The Maypole are favourites of ours. Wed definitely recommend it!"
James - May 2025
"The owners were so welcoming and really went above and beyond when the storm knocked out the power. The place was spotless, warm and well-equipped. Our dog loved the enclosed garden and we enjoyed the hot tub too!"
Emma - May 2025
"We had a lovely time at this spot! Sharon and Robert really go the extra mile to make sure everythings just right. Its perfect for a peaceful escape and well definitely be back again soon. Cant wait!"
Emma - May 2025
"We had such a lovely stay! The cottage was spotless and cosy, perfect for unwinding. The hot tub was fantastic after a day of exploring. Plenty of walks nearby and the village itself is charming. Honestly, wed love to come back soon!"
Emily - May 2025
"We loved this cosy rural retreat! The courtyard was charming and the hot-tub just made it extra special. Perfect for relaxing after long country walks. Definitely recommend it!"
Emma - May 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay! The place was peaceful and spotless, hosts super friendly, hot tub was a highlight and the garden was perfect for our dog."
