Beech Hedge Reviews

"We went here for a relaxing and chilled weekend and had the perfect time. As a family of 6, we stayed in the Aspen lodge and we couldnt fault it. Everything we needed was available, no shortage of tvs, great to have the smart tv, hot tub was perfect. Nearest town was a 10min drive with all your supermarkets and takeaways. Very private lodge surrounded by trees in a very quiet scenic area. Better than we hoped for on a weekend away from the noise of city life.Owners very friendly and provided all the information we needed on arrival. Would recommend to anyone looking a break. Perfect"

"The site manager was lovely when we arrived, gave us directions etc and answered questions about the nearest place to buy milk etc. However, the accommodation was dated and smelled strange when we first arrived, like stale fried food. We had to air it out the next day. We also had to buy hand soap, washing up liquid and extra toilet roll. The shower had mould in the bottom corner. Missing several essentials in the kitchen; scissors, baking tray (not just a grill pan) and some others, the inside of the fridge door was also broken so the milk kept falling out when we opened the fridge. The place was decent enough for what we paid and we made the most of it with the kids, had a nice time in the surrounding area but I wouldnt go back to that particular site."

"Lovely break. Very spacious and clean accommodation in very nice surrounding countryside. A little drive to any significant locations, shops, beaches etc…. but from my perspective this isn’t a complaint. Lidl was an 8 minute drive and beautiful walks within 10 minutes. We were more than happy to drive further afield in exploration. We had a lovely time"

Rosemary - Feb 2022
"Well equipped and comfortable."
Valerie - Jan 2022
"Great location and stay, only downside would be the bizarre 5pm check in and 9am check out with the cleaner waiting outside since 8:15 for us. Which more of less cuts a day off your stay and makes you unnecessarily anxious when dealing with children in the morning and extra hour would be ideal."
Sean - Jan 2022
"Kinclaven in need of TLC . Tv remote broken, subtitles always on, reclining chair no power lead, bulbs on extractor hood blown, toilet seat loose. All these issues should have been addressed prior to our arrival. Roads potholed, site messy."
Michael - Dec 2021
"The lodge was lovely. It was very well maintained and clean. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival. We were only expecting basics in the kitchen but extras had been added for our Christmas stay. We ha a really good time and would highly recommend a holiday here."

Active Kid Adventure Park - DG7 3ET

Active Kid Adventure Park is the place to go if you have energetic children and are looking for a fun day out. The site boasts many attractions including a Zip Line, Target Football, Go Karts, Play Areas, Pony Rides and Crazy Golf. There are also some friendly farm animals to meet including a docile Donkey. Brechin Castle Centre - DD9 6RL
about 29 Miles

So much more than a garden centre this place is ideal for a fun family day out in Angus. The garden centre stocks a huge range of plants, outdoor furniture and gardening equipment and also has a café serving tasty home made meals, cakes and snacks. The site has a large outdoor play area for children an ornamental pond and country park to explore. Halloween and Bonfire night's events are coming up soon. The annual Fireworks Display is really spectacular.

Smoo Cave - IV27 4QB
about 38 Miles
Smoo Cave is a popular attraction which can be enjoyed all year round but visitors should wrap up warm during the winter months.  This spectacular limestone sea-cave in Sutherland is the largest in Britain and is simply spectacular. The cave was formed by a burn that runs down into the rear chamber, as well as erosion caused by the sea. Guests can take the path from the car park which runs right through the cave. Boat trips are available in the summer months and are an excellent way to fully appreciate the cave from all angles.
