Upton Lakes Lodges Reviews

The Nickson Family, Kent
Our week at Upton flew by and we wished we had booked longer. the site was so peaceful it was just what the doctor ordered. We had a really nice lodge with a hot tub which the children loved. We spend a few days out in Devon and found some lovely beaches. The village of Cullompton is within walking distance and has a very nice pub - try the pie of the day!

The lodges are immaculately clean and have a homely feel. Hot tub fabulous, especially on a cold night gazing up at the clear night sky and stars.

Excellent accommodation and location (very close to town). Friendly lady met us on arrival and we were left to our own devices all weekend. The only down side was the sewerage smell from the 2nd Bathroom. Luckily it was just the 2 of us so we kept the door to that bedroom closed off. The remote control's for the TV were poor and didn't work unless you got close to the TV, We bought new batteries but that didn't make a difference. The bed was also very squeaky so we put pillows behind the bedstead. Overall though I would definitely recommend as it was clean and the hot tub was amazing! It's great for a quiet weekend away or fishing trip but the owners just need to pay a little bit more attention to the finer details which cleaners may miss.

Lovely weekend in comfortable and clean lodge. I've only given it a 9 because the hot tub lid blew off in strong wind and I had to move my car in the middle of the night just in case!

Excellent...we spent a long weekend here, a mini-honeymoon...actually had the same cabin we had the year before. Lovely friendly greeting, we could`ve arrived early too, but we`d already gone further into Devon. I fished the lakes, quite successfully...was very peaceful...which is what we wanted. Cabin was clean and tidy, and has everything we would want...bonus being the hot tub which was used every evening. Thanks for having us, we`ll be back...and I hope anyone reading this, will enjoy their stay too!
John
fantastic lodge with everything you need.hot tub great, also very good fishing.
Laura
Great long weekend with friends, just wanted to relax and the lodge was perfect for that. Walked into the town to go to a few pubs which were friendly and only a 15 minute walk from the lodges. Thinking about going back again
Chris

This was our 8th visit to Upton Lakes and our break was as lovely as ever. Beautiful setting and surroundings, very peaceful. Would highly recommend this place. All the staff can't do enough for you and are very friendly. We've booked again for later in the year!
Lisa
Lovely place to stay. So peaceful. And lovely places to visit
Gail
This was an amazingly tranquil place and an easy drive for some lovely places to eat.
Michelle
Wonderfully peaceful lodge. Very clean and tidy!
Charlotte
This is our second visit to Upton Lakes but our first with our dog. We didn't know what to expect when staying in a pet friendly cabin but we were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful and clean it was. The location was perfect for our dog Zeus (fields and walks) but there isn't alot in the surrounding areas (perfect get away to avoid the world). All in all a beautiful retreat and a lovely break from reality!
