The owners were super friendly and always available if we needed anything, but it still felt private - perfect for relaxing. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day cycling around. Just a heads up, the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so you will hear planes overhead - it took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but it didnt ruin our trip at all. Definitely recommend!"

"Our Barlings Country Park review: We had such a lovely stay at this cosy cottage tucked away on a working farm, yet it remains really private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely charming and friendly. The place itself is surprisingly spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that made us feel right at home. The garden is perfect for dogs-completely private and furnished nicely. There are loads of walks nearby and Thaxted has some great restaurants like The Star and The Maypole. Wed definitely recommend it!"

We told reception as we left that they should definitely update their photos because it doesn’t show just how beautiful the place is. It is huge! And has everything you need. We had the best time for a relaxing weekend break! The hot tub was amazing and was cleaned every day. The place was just stunning. We had the best stay and will definitely be back in the future !"
