This is our second time staying and wont be our last. Such peaceful surroundings but close enough to places to explore. The lodge itself has everything you need to relax and it felt like home from home. Looking forward to going back!

Kirsty - Oct 2025
An amazing lodge, from early communication re arrival set up and instructions how to get in through to end. Very clean and homely, with added extra of lake views and private hot tub. Well equipped kitchen and thanks for the welcome gift. Already recommended to family and friends, and will add to our list to stay again places. Lots to do around also for children. We went to sundown, which was 25 mins away, national trust, and windmill for Sunday lunch. Lots to choose to do from for all weathers.
Lorna - Oct 2025
The lodge was lovely with plenty of crockery glassware and cooking apparatus. Beds comfortable and good showers. Had a lovely time. Enjoyed the jacuzzi and local area.

Absolutely loved it! So cozy and relaxed I thought we might have struggled with my kids being bored but we went for days out and there was games in the lodge, they loved fishing on the lake too! Can not recommend it anymore we didnt want to leave and well be coming back definitely before the year is over.
Michael John - Jul 2025

Yvonne - Jun 2025
Lovely setting exactly as advertised. Second visit for us. Watch this space for a third. Excellently placed for Lincoln, Newark and Whisby reserve. Very quiet and relaxing.
Victoria - Jun 2025
Wonderful beautiful surroundings could not ask for more Thank you
Gemma - Jun 2025
Can not fault the facilities. Everything we needed was there. Even things we would not have expected at all made it even better. Lovely little touches. It was a lovely stay. We didnt get to use the hot tub as we had brought an elderly client away for a little holiday so wasnt needed. But would have gotten used any other time. I even ordered some of the rhubarb and Tonka soap when I got home it was so lovely. Fantastic information booklet. So peaceful. Loved watching the fishes jumping in and out. The only fault we found was cleanliness in some areas of the kitchen could have been a little better. Dirty bowls and pots and pans etc in the cupboards and the little outhouse had a stale smell from the bin. However, a quick wipe down and it was all good. We would 100 visit again! There was so much thoughtfulness. A suggestion would be fans maybe? It got very hot on our visit due to extremely hot temps outside.
Shona - Apr 2025
Had a lovely stay at this gorgeous property. Sitting on the deck or in the hot tub watching the birds and the people fishing was very relaxing a real break away from the daily grind! Lots to do in the local area too.
Sue - Apr 2025
Possibly the best holiday weve had, it suited the whole family 4 children aged 616 which is a task in itself! We booked mainly to celebrate our eldests 16th and we loved every second and hope to go back.
Denise - Mar 2025
Lovely well equipped lodge in an amazing setting, we wanted to fish and we could do that from the lodges 2 fishing pegs, quiet and peaceful but near enough to local amenities and shopping, it is just a peaceful, calm oasis, we definitely will be back! !!
ie - Feb 2025
Can't fault it. Everything you need is here. Good fishing. Hot tub private with a big hedge round it. Our fifth time here. Been to other lodges but this is like home from home.
Lara - Feb 2025

ie - Jan 2025

Angela - Dec 2024
Just spent a fabulous weekend away with family. Christmas all the way. The tree and presecco an added touch. So well equipped. Fabulous all round. Have already booked for next year.......Only slight niggle was the hot tub was not checked or topped up.
Clare - Dec 2024
Lovely, quiet place to stay and the easy way of collectinglocking the lodge was a great idea. The lodge was lovely and finished to a really good standard. A few little cleaning issues in the en suite bathroom.Only thing I would suggest, would be to have had a map of the lodges to see where we were. We had found our lodge plot no18 which was in the email only to find it wasn't ours and had to drive around the site for 10 minutes looking for our lodge.Would have been a 10 and smiling face if these two were sorted but didn't detract from from our lovely stay.
Andrea - Nov 2024
This was our second visit 6 Adults to LilyPad and we had such a wonderful stay again. The lodge is great and in such a lovely and tranquil setting.Beautifully furnished and well equipped the only comment would be that the fridge is a bit small and with a wonderful private hot tub.Can only recommend and we are hoping to return soon.
Danielle - Nov 2024
From arriving to leaving was just beautiful and scenic would definitely recommend everyone to visit, owners left a bottle of processo in fridge which was perfect as we was gathering as a family for a birthday. Very well looked after if you want to relax it's easily done as theres a hot tub and fishing at the lodge. If you are someone who likes to adventure you can always do licoln town centre as that's wort ah visit, plus the pennell garden centre. We as a family regually book a lodge every year but this has reacted the top and we've stay at various locations.1010

Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET

Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
Crazy Crocodiles Indoor Play & Party Centre - LL30 1DR
about 32 Miles
This is an all weather attraction located in Ilkeston Derbyshire.  With a large play frame as well as bikes and ride on toys this is a fun place for young children.  The toddler time sessions take place during term times on week days from 9.30am until 2.30pm and are very popular. The admission fee is excellent value for money and parents can sit down and enjoy a drink while the children play. A new baby changing facility has now been installed together with some new chairs making this a clean and welcoming attraction for families.  Look out for offers on their website such as a free hot drink on select days.
Pleasure Island - DN35 0PL
about 34 Miles
Wow this is an amazing family theme park and you will probably need the full day to experience it all.  From thrilling rides to family shows, kids of all ages are catered for.  Some of the most popular rides include the Obliterator and The Pendulus, not forgetting the Hypoblaster.   Family shows are entertaining such as the African Acrobat Show which is back by popular demand.  Entrance tickets are good value and if you book online you will receive a discount. To save even more money if you live locally or are visiting the area for a few weeks you could buy a season ticket for around £50 which will allow you entry for the whole season.
The Jungle Zoo - NR31 9EY
about 34 Miles
Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
Denby Visitor Centre - DE5 8NX
about 35 Miles
Denby visitor centre is a fun day out in the Derbyshire region with an array of activities iunder one roof.  An all weather attraction you can take pottery tours, see cookery demonstrations and visit Bourne's restaurant.  There are events and offers on throughout the year for example the Denby factory Shops sale where you can save £££s and October Creepy Crypt for Halloween where you can go along in fancy dress and have your face painted.  Booking is advised so check out the latest details on their website.

Heights of Abraham - DE4 3PT
about 39 Miles
This unique attraction combines an array of activities.  If you have a look on their website there are some good video clips which give an even better idea of what this attraction is all about.  Some of the highlights include the Cable Car system which is actually Britain's first alpine style cable car system.  You are transported from the valley floor right up above where you can enjoy superb Dewent Valley Views.  You can also stroll around 60 acres of wooded hillside on foot to see an array of birds and wildlife.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 39 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
