About Delamere Lake Sailing and Holiday Park

Delamere Lake Holiday Park has a gorgeous woodland location in Cheshire set around a 120 acre lake in the heart of the Cheshire Plain.  You'll also be well located to explore Delamore Forest meaning you really have the best of both worlds.

The lodges themselves have the wow factor with floor to ceiling glass windows making the views simply amazing.  We love the Country Lodge Six VIP Platinum which is a luxurious and spacious lodge, perfect for families and couples.  With one double and two twin rooms there is plenty of space and the furnishings are of a very high standard.  Step outside onto your own decking area with garden furniture and a hot tub to enjoy!

Some lodges are pet friendly at this park meaning you don't have to leave anyone behind.

You can go sailing on the lake or relax in your own private hot tub and take in the scenery.  Nature lovers will be in their element at this park with walks and watersports including on sire wake-boarding right on the doorstep.

The charming town of Chester is just 10 miles from Delamere Lake Holiday Park where you can find great shopping and sight seeing as well as cafe culture.  There are plenty of unique independent shops to explore.

If you wanted to explore the region further there are so many recommended attractions.  For families then Go Ape Cheshire and Gulliver's World Theme Park are fantastic.

Delamere Lake Sailing and Holiday Park Reviews

"It was a lovely place to stay and we had a good time. Great view of the lake and having its own private beach is a plus too!"
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"Beautiful lodge which overlooked the lake, great hot tub and the lodge was very clean."
Sharon - Mar 2024
"Great home from home, a few of the pans need replacing, bound to happen, but we hadn't gone to be doing lots of cooking anyway. Overall it was very clean but I found some old disposable contact lenses next to the bed side table they should have bee vacuumed up but hadn't."
Joanne - Mar 2024
"Was a lovely lodge but need a bit of maintenance loo seat broken. Wardrobe doors were hanging off. Had to ask a member of staff to fix the bedroom window as that was fall out and couldn't use that room first night as it was to cold."
Verified Guest - Feb 2024
"Overall we had a fabulous break even though we were only five miles away from home. It was peaceful and truly stunning views"
Pauline - Feb 2024
"I would highly recommend and return. The lodge was spotless, up to date, we were left alone, hot tub was a lovely touch. Only thing I would say is that it doesn't state that you need to give 48 hours notice for late check out, so when we asked the day before they declined it."
Kelly - Jan 2024
"Brilliant lodge with an amazing location next to the lake. Very private and peaceful. All the beds were really comfortable and clean. Would recommend"
Zara - Jan 2024
"The lodge we stayed in was lovely, stunning lake view, hot tub that was well looked after daily by staff, no need to visit reception everything is done by phone including the lock for the door, the lodge was lovely and clean, slight issue with heating not working on arrival, contacted reception somebody was there within 5 minutes to fix the problem which was great! En-suite shower sprayed water everywhere as the head was very loose when turning on so couldnt use that but other shower in main bathroom was fine! We did find the plates and cutlery were quite dirty with food still on plates and sticky tea stains in the mugs, but overall the lodge and its surroundings were lovely and would definitely stay again!"
Verified Guest - Dec 2023
"Fabulous time great lodge . Will definitely do it again with the family .. was my sons 40th.. goin to make it a yearly trip now ."
Jackie - Dec 2023
"This was a last minute booking for October half term. We booked a 2 bedroom lodge with a hot tub for 4 nights, the booking process was easy and clear. We were in lodge 3, right on the lake. Online check in and the app key system meant we didn't need to go to the office but I popped in to let them know we had a Tesco delivery coming and hadn't been able to tell them the lodge number as this wasn't known at the time. The staff in the office kindly said they would let Tesco know, which they did, Tesco knocked on the lodge door without the need to contact me, very helpful. The lodge was really clean, tidy, well presented and very comfortable, we were all very pleased with it (2 adults, 2 children). There was plenty of room, the master bedroom was large as were both bathrooms. The showers worked very well and the heating in the lodge was good (it was a rainy cold week). The hot tub on the terrace overlooking the lake was fantastic and had plenty of use. There were a couple of toilet rolls in each bathroom so you will need to take a few more, there was also hand soap and towels. In the kitchen there was a very small container of washing up liquid but it lasted us for 4 days, 4 dishwasher tablets, bin bags, a cloth and a tea towel (one of those that doesn't work very well though, but we had taken our own). Everything else you would need was there; oven, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, cafetieire, even a wine fridge. Minor, and I mean minor items, we could have done with a few more bowls and mugs and more shelf space for clothes in the bedrooms plus more hangers, but that was all. The location is excellent, the lake is a wonderful setting and the site seemed very quiet when we were there although we did see people coming and going, so it was ideal. We sat in the hot tub watching the many birds on the lake and the sun setting. It was out of season so none of the lake activities were open (we were aware of this). The nearest pub, the Vale Royal Abbey Arms was a very short drive down the road and I would highly recommend. Chester Zoo was a short distance away for a day out, we also went to Cheshire Outdoors for some activities for the kids, 5 minutes away. Go Ape is very close by also, indeed, there is a great deal to do in the area. Staff checked in on us during our stay to make sure everything was ok which was appreciated. All in all I would highly recommend and certainly hope to return."
Sarah - Nov 2023
"Very clean and perfectly situated next to the lake."
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"We stayed in lodge 1 Delamere Point, which had a fantastic location overlooking the lake with its own private beach. The lodge was clean and modern, with an excellent supply of kitchen utensils. There was a washing machine in the cupboard and a hoover. The staff on site were very helpful - when our oven didnt work they came out and replaced it with a brand new oven within a few hours. Our only gripes were that the bedroom window blinds let in a lot of light, which meant that the kids woke us up super early each day. Also, there were a lot of spider webs and spiders on the outdoor furniture - the outdoor space wasnt cleaned as well as the inside of the lodge."
Emma - Nov 2023

The cabins are beautifully located, spacious, and gleamingly clean. The beds were comfortable, and we was able to fully relax. The hot tub was ready on our arrival, it was lovely and warm! And there was parking space for our 2 cars. Amazing! Will definitely be back!"

Amanda - Aug 2019
"We had a great stay with our family (2 adults, 3 children and a dog). The accommodation was very comfortable, staff very helpfull. De location great, view of the lake, wateractivities at the park and close to the forrest. Our jacuzzi was a big hit for the kids. The park is still small, but will grow a lot in the next year. We will reccommend this place to other families."
Paulien - Jul 2019
"Lovely accommodation. No facilities on site. I expected it to be more woodland."
Jackie - Jul 2019
"Really nice apart from the weather"
Andrew - Jun 2019
"Absolutely amazing lodge with beautiful surroundings. Calm and peaceful location. We were taken a back with the attention to details and facilities. Massive hot tub, great kitchen facilities, televisions in every room, even our own row boat! The only thing we would have liked would have been a couple of robes or towels specifically for the hot tub. Very close to the beautiful Delamere Forest. Would definitely stay there again."

"The lodge was of very high standard, clean, had everything we needed. Hot tub was spotless and staff checked it daily. Surroundings were beautiful. We even had a dip in the lake. Have booked again."
Laura - Jul 2022
"We went away in a big family group which made the cost very reasonable. I was worried it might feel small for 8 of us but it didn’t. The facilities were great and the hot tub an added extra. We would have liked more dishwasher tablets and slightly comfier beds but everything else was perfect. The lake and park is very pretty and a tranquil retreat. We went into Chester as it’s quite close by (£25 in a taxi.). This was great as we were able to come home to the lodge as a base."
Rachel - Jul 2022
"Stunning location we had a lodge with a jetty on the water , would recommend this for full experience if you like water sports or just watching the wildlife. With lake delamrere wild shore wake park on the the same lake it was great to have this right at hand super fun . But you could not see it from lodges so you would not know it was there if you just wanted to relax ."
Kerry - Jul 2022
"Excellent lodge, very clean and in a great location. We will come back"
Mohamed - Jun 2022
"Had an amazing holiday and relaxing week gorgeous views to wake up to. Great hot tub our second visit here we can’t wait to go again! Lodge was outstanding."

"Lovely 3 night stay, close to Chester town and Cheshire oaks. Would recommend."
