Our family of five stayed at Colliery Lane Lodges for a long bank holiday weekend and it was lovely. The lodges and hot tubs are new and spotless and there's plenty of room, with a brand new and well equipped kitchen, spotless bath and shower rooms, good sized bedrooms and living room, and everything that you need for a relaxing self catering break. The location is peaceful and pleasant, and there's plenty of information provided for nearby shops and restaurants. The staff are really friendly, helpful and welcoming. We will definitely be returning.

Very good stay at Colliery lane lodges, lodge was well equipped and was nice and modern, lovely warm and welcoming. Kitchen well equipped, really big american fridge, TV with DVD player, plenty of space. Staff very friendly and helpful but left us to enjoy the lodge :). Hot tub was really nice and warm as soon as we got there. Only downside was that there was no wifi, but not a major issue and perhaps could do with a bit more optional lighting on the decking. Play area for children, although we didnt use this, we thought it was a nice addition. Overall a fantastic stay.

Date of stay: 26th May 2017
everything you needed was provided. Only small thing , I missed the turning ( gate ) to Colliery lodges as road works at beginning of site and gate was open therefore drove all the way down Colliery Road , other sites have signage opposite as well at the entrance and on main roads so maybe this is something to think about for the future. Friendly owners but also respected our privacy so that was just right for us
Margaret, Derby
Date of stay: 22nd May 2017
The lodge was very modern, all the beds was made up and was very comfortable, in the kitchen there was everything that you need it for that weekend away dishwasher washing machine microwave slow cooker. Value for money I think it's well worth it we was actually in three bedrooms and two bathrooms and there's only two of us plenty of room to move about

Date of stay: 9th January 2017
These beautiful lodges are excellent value for money and we've already booked to go back. The owners are very friendly people and go the extra mile to make your stay very enjoyable. Pete borrowed me some tackle to do a bit of fishing, he also provided me with the bait and helped me with lots of advice on how to catch the fish. You can kick back and relax, do nothing and enjoy the peaceful surroundings or its a great base to explore whats on offer in the local area either has a couple or has a family. We have stayed in lots of lodges but colliery lane takes some beating, we cant wait until our next visit.
James, Rushden Nn10
Date of stay: 27th December 2016
Seriously impressed with the extremely high standard of the lodge, particularly the internal decor. However, I have been asked to register a comment regarding the absence of a full set of quality wine glasses, I think there were 3 , the rest were plastic. We had taken our own plastic glasses for our external use, but your plastic glasses at a Xmas dinner table didn't look good but in no way spoilt our dinner. A bedside light in bedroom 3 wouldn't have come amiss either. Having said that, we considered the kitchen & associated facilities were exceptional.
We had a fantastic time there & wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lodge on this location to anyone who asks. Grateful thanks, JW

Date of stay: 3rd June 2016
I stayed here with my two sons (8 and 11) and my mother for a half term break away. The park is a perfect base to stay to visit attractions in the area as you don't have to drive far. We visited conkers which the kids enjoyed and got them outside. We all looked forward to returning to the accommodation to spend time in the hot tub, which we did twice a day. Even though we didn't have the best of weeks with the weather this didn't spoil the break away. The guy (John) who showed us round when we arrived was very helpful and we have already recommended the lodge to family who are due to go here soon. We will return again to X

Only 4 lodges on site and they overlook a housing estate it's like being at home. And the lake is tiny more of a pond. Hot tubs are great and can't complain about the lodge. But just think there should be more photos of the site on the web

Had a good short break. Location was great for us as was catching up with friends and family in area. Liked the space between lodges, keeps a level of privacy. We visited after a period of torrential rain so didn't necessarily see It at its best but would be happy to return. We all enjoyed the hot tub. A couple of very minor issues were dealt with promptly when we reported them on first day.
Sue
Simply superb. Beautiful accommodation, spotless and nothing was too much trouble
