Lower Tundridge Cottage

We all enjoyed our stay at Tundridge Cottage and were all very happy to be there together. The whole area was so beautiful and peaceful. We all spent time in the hot tub which was such a treat. We did get into Worcester and also walked the local nature reserve which was lovely, but being together at Tundridge Cottage was the best bit. Thank you do much Ann

We had a wonderful weekend here in lower tundridge. It is a truly beautiful house with a lovely garden and amazing views, the whole group loved it. It had everything we needed and the beds were really comfy! Its also a great location for the malverns.

The 3 generations of our family enjoyed oiur stay in the beautiful, quiet countryside with a few issues of maintenance and design. The communal area was spacious but we felt the kitchen much too cramped, and there were not enough spaces for everyone in the lounge area to sit down. The mattressses were tired and cleaning not quite up to scratch. A folder on use of the appliances etc would have been useful. However there were plenty of plus points like the hot tub which was fun, and the unspoilt surrounding countryside for local walks, and further afield we enjoyed visits to Brockhampton and Worcester. Communication with the owner was good and access easy.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Lower Tundridge Cottage. It is a beautiful property with great social spaces, both indoor and outdoor. The large dining table is great for a big group and we enjoyed sitting outside and using the jacuzzi. Two of the ensuite bathrooms were open to the bedroom thus offering little privacy, so its worth noting that these two rooms are more suited to couples than friends as was the case with our group but we managed fine! Highly recommend this lovely property.

We had a wonderful stay. Its a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location with great walks from the front door. We would use again without question.

Well, were already planning our return. The weekend that was so good for the soul! The space was huge, Mo popped over and we learnt the history of the cottage and it made it extra special. There were a few bits that needed an extra clean before we could eatdrink but otherwise it was a great stay. The hot tub was huge and we all made use of it over the two nights, even laughing in the rain in the hot tub. It was so peaceful and secluded. Check in was mega easy and there was plenty of space for our group to all sit around the huge old slate table to eat and enjoy some familyfriend time. A proper little retreat. There are already friends looking to book too and they didnt even come with us. A recommendation goes a long way and Ill be sure to keep recommending this little gem of a cottage. This is a good choice for larger groups. The communal kitchenlounge easily accommodates 16 around a very large slate peninsular ex snooker table base that serves as a great focal point. Everything was as advertised, with the hot tub ready to go on arrival and all areas fitted out to a high standard. We enjoyed our weekend family gettogether here.

The accommodation at first site looked lovely, quirky which we were expecting but found lots of little things that we weren't happy with. Behind one set of drawers we found empty packets of dressing up accessories, a moustache and cigarettes. Another room had dirty tissues stuffed in a corner. When we stripped the bedding, several beds had no mattress protector and the mattresses were heavily stained. The living area was adequate, but not comfortable and the kitchen space was too small for the number of people with a ridiculous size table taking up too much room, but this is our personal view. We made the most of our stay as we are an easy going group of woman, but will not be revisiting this property.

Lovely property in the countryside! We stayed as a group of 13 and the property had all the needed amenities, plenty of space and was nice and cosy. Prior to arrival the owners got in touch with clear directions for arrival and key information which was great. Looks even better in person than in the photos, would recommend!

Lovely property, great for large groups. We had six small kids with us and plenty of room for them to play.

We had a fantastic weekend a reunion with friends. The Kitchen and outdoor areas were the stand out. The kitchen was really well stocked with enough cooking equipment, glasses, mugs and crockery and the large table was a great social space. The lounge area offered a really comfortable place to relax with everyone. The owners were super helpful and ensured we had everything we needed, they were also really responsive to questions emails we sent them. Would highly recommend Lower Tundridge Cottage the immediate surroundings are beautiful.

This house is in a rural location and has everything needed for a great break. We were a family from 4 yr olds upto late 70's and we all had a great time. Plenty of room for the kids to play and the adults to chill. The little touches of sweets for the kids and wine for us was so welcoming. We did an ocado order and had a Indian takeaway delivered. Spent time exploring the Malvern hills and the priory gardens. If you want a large family getaway this is the perfect place.

Absolutely beautiful home for family time away with everything we needed. Always a challenge to find the right property for a large family group definitely got it right this time! Plenty of space in a gorgeous part of the world. Communication with owner was excellent. Highly recommended!

We had a fabulous time at the property! There were 12 adults and we all sat comfortably in the lounge and kitchen area. The large dining table was amazing for our games night and meals. We also throughly enjoyed the hot tub. There was plenty of utensils, plates, glasses etc. We would recommend a couple of tweaks to make the stay perfect 1 although the information was sent to the person booking, it would be helpful to have a folder of info like how to work the heating, WiFi, bins, oven etc 2 thicker pillows on the beds 3 a few more cushions for extra comfort on the sofas and chairs round the table. I would definitely recommend this property for get togethers for a relaxed trip away.

Very welcoming with lights music heating and Christmas decorations. Excellent facilities. Good shared space. Plenty plates glasses cutlery etc Some beds would benefit from mattress toppers to improve comfort Hob unfortunately did not work as efficiently as should a couple more saucepans would have been useful!! Hot tub was too chlorinated some people had skin reaction also one costume bleached Overall we had a great visit but would like others to benefit from our feedback.

Overall the property was great in a nice remote location. I feel however the property does need some TLC and after reading reviews online agree with other comments such as Tiles in the kitchen and certain bathrooms needs grout repairs and cracks on many of the times we had a 7 month old which we didn't feel comfortable to leave on the floor and crawl Standard utensils etc we would have expected were not there e.g. spongedishwasher tabletsbroom. We were told we had a broom when it was a mop Cot requested was not put out but was sorted straight away, appreciate human errors occur Cleanliness of towels to be improved, a few had marks on Lot of cob webs around the property and cleanliness overall we felt was poor. Most of the party spent the first couple of hours cleaning We have used Rural Retreats for 18 years and for the first year used Sykes but can say we will not be using Sykes again based on our first experience.

We had an issue with two of the beds breaking and some of the party had to sleep on the sette. Overall the property is in need of refreshment broken cracked tiles on the floor upstairs, broken tiles in the round bedroom in the shower, the heated towel rail in the round bedroom all the paint was flaking off. Its a lovely place but now needs refreshment I was quite disappointed for the money we paid.

A super venue for a large group plenty of space and a really lovely communal living area. We were a family of 16 the 8 children, aged from 3 to 18, loved the mezzanine floor! Mo and Edwin were very helpful and responsive.

The house was very nice but in many of the bedrooms and windows sills there were lots corners with cobwebs and spiders. The window also needed cleaning inside and out. This didnt spoil our weekend. One other suggestion 5 bathroom for what could hold 16 people. More toilet roll please. One in each is not enough and we found ourselves running out.
