The New Forest is located in Hampshire, sandwiched between Southampton and Bournemouth, just below Salisbury, on the south coast of the UK. It’s over 1000 years old and covers a whopping 219 square miles!

Best for: This property is a good ‘all rounder’ as they say, suitable for families who need their own space or as a romantic couple’s retreat. There’s also an enclosed garden for a stress-free dog holiday!

Who you’ll love it? This lodge is so close to New Forest you can almost smell the pines. You could walk it but it’s only a few mins by car. And the farm setting here is just so cool. We love the beautiful horses roaming around!

There’s nothing quite like pitching up at a lovely-looking holiday home and finding the owners have left you goodies! Before you hop in the hot tub, check out the hamper you’ll find waiting for your arrival. Mmm!

Who you’ll love it? This has to be one of the most relaxing places you’ll find in New Forest. The barn makes for a fantastic setting for a family holiday and with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, everyone gets plenty of privacy and their own space.

There’s nothing quite like sitting in the hot tub when it’s snowing! And I’ve had the pleasure of being in a lodge when it was thick snow outside. Great memories!

If a holiday isn’t a holiday if a certain 4-legged friend has to be left behind, the good news is that New Forest is one of the better places in the UK to take your pet thanks to it’s many walks, and pet-friendly locations and attractions.

With over 140 miles of tracks in the New Forest, you will never be short of a beautiful trail to walk your pooch.

There are also a range of attractions that are dog friendly such as the Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway, and Hurst Castle located on an idyllic shingle spit.

As the New Forest covers such a vast area, there are plenty of dog-friendly pubs and restaurants to choose from with one sure to be close to your daytime activity for a hearty evening meal.
