A lovely, spot, you’ll likely see all kinds of creatures like red squirrels hopping around your lodge regularly. The Ennerdale Valley location puts crystal-clear Ennerdale Water just 5 miles away and it’s peaceful even if you’re visiting in peak season.
The open-plan studio sleeps 2 and has a comfy double bed, smart TV and well-equipped kitchen. Outside is where this rental really shows off with an enclosed garden, fire pit and log cabin housing a private sauna.
There’s an outdoor kitchen and pizza oven where you’ll whip up a feast with a cool drink and the private hot tub and sauna await after exploring Whinlatter Forest or the coastal town of St Bees.

Skiddaw Shepherds Hut
The views from this cosy glamping pod are not too shabby! This shepherd’s hut sits just 4 miles from Keswick in the Lake District National Park. You don’t have to go anywhere to see the lovely scenery of the lakes as you get great views from the hot tub! The stunning fell vistas make this booking extra special for anniversaries or romantic getaways.
If you do like to lace up your hiking boots and ‘have at it’, there are some excellent walking routes right from your hut’s door. Take on Helvellyn, Skiddaw and Catbells which are all nearby. Or have a go at sailing, climbing and, if you can’t be bothered with all that, take a lazy walk with an alpaca at the local centre!
Inside you’ll find a raised double bed, wall-mounted TV and dining area with French doors overlooking the fells. The compact kitchen has a combi-microwave and fridge to keep those drinks chilled and help whip up a perfect romantic dinner.
The village pub is just a 15-minute walk away (it might seem longer on the way back…) And this tranquil secluded setting really makes you switch off from life for a bit!

Herdwick Croft
This luxury glamping pod sits right in the Lake District National Park itself with jaw-dropping views of Skiddaw, Sale Fell and Binsey. Located on the north shores of Bassenthwaite Lake where you can get stuck into all kinds of watersports like paddle boarding, kayaking and a spot of fishing.
These Tardis-like pods feature a king-size bed, coffee machine and cosy log fire complete with a fire pit, which comes in handy when the evening chill settles in but you want to stay out and savour the beautiful night skies. The decking has seating and a private hot tub.
The on-site Herdwick Willy’s Bar & Bistro has a south-facing patio and you’re next door to Armathwaite Hall & Spa and the Lakes Distillery. Try the whiskey tours and sample some authentic local whiskey!
Wildlife park nearby has monkeys and you’re within 10 minutes of both Keswick and Cockermouth. Whinlatter Forest Park offers Go Ape, mountain biking and horse riding just 5 miles away.
Swallow Micro Lodge, Calthwaite Hall Lodges
This stylish and unique glamping pod is in the grounds of the stunning Calthwaite Hall, which dates back to 1837. The surrounding lawns and paddocks are home to adorable miniature Falabella ponies.
This contemporary micro-lodge features one double pull-down bed with sprung mattress. The large shower room has a waterfall shower that really gets you going on the mornings and a kitchenette with a microwave, 2-ring hob and fridge.
French doors lead to the private deck area with some ‘lips-out’ countryside views. The outdoor hot tub sits covered by a cabana with low level lighting along with sun loungers and BBQ area. The owners have done a great job here giving guests everything they could need for a fab glamping getaway in the Lakes.
Walk to the local pub in Calthwaite Village or explore the local sandstone villages and quaint market towns nearby.

Stargazer @ Blaithwaite Country House Estate
This private estate covers a vast 250 acres in the heart of Cumbria and is just a short distance to the Lake District. The estate has numerous trails where you can feed animals or wander through woodland and its a good one to book for families!
There’s a giant adventure playground, crazy golf and giant chess in the orchard garden. The multi-million pound complex features an indoor-outdoor heated pool, coffee shop and soft play area.
