This beautifully designed shepherd in York is everything a good York glamping accommodation should be: bags of charm, that quirky look and all the luxury you’d want from a good holiday.
A unique glamping getaway where the owners have converted the hut into a railway goods wagon and it’s themed throughout with lots of great little touches and designs.
You’re also a short drive from York City and York and Harrogate and there’s plenty to do around the hut itself including golfing and meeting the lovable animals on the farm including Alpacas, Llamas, Ponies and Donkeys!
Step outside and you’ve got an extremely private wood-fired hot tub and you’re surrounded by the peace and tranquillity of the Yorkshire countryside.
This is the perfect relaxing break with easy access to the City and lots of places to eat and drink nearby.
Bainbridge Ings
See stunning panoramic vistas of the Wensleydale countryside in the Yorkshire Dales when glamping at this site. Stay in a uniquely designed wooden pod, or for more luxury, a wooden lodge.
Each pod has an outdoor hot tub perfect for a soak surrounded by the lush countryside after a day of exploring the Dales. Inside, there is a flat-screen TV for relaxing in front of a film in the evening.
On the bigger pods, there is outdoor decking to allow for al fresco dining on a sunny evening. Also, this is the perfect place to stargaze on a clear night.
Dacre Lakeside Park
Stay in your very own elegant shepherd’s hut here, complete with a private wood fired hot tub. The hut sleeps two and is perfect for a romantic glamping getaway, with the wood-burning fire in the living area adding a cosy feel in the evening.
The lakeside setting at this site adds to the atmosphere of tranquillity, and you can just take in its beauty from your pod, or try out some of the watersports.
There is also a pizzeria on that make delicious wood-fired pizzas that has views overlooking the lake. Discover the site by hiring a bike or exploring the lake by kayaking or canoeing. There is also a tennis court and a 7-hole pitch and putt.

Fine Country Stays
This location is just south of York city centre in Bubwith and is home to bespoke glamping huts amongst beautiful rural Yorkshire scenery.
There is easy access to woodland and nearby beaches from here for a day out. There are two new types of pods open for 2024, both of which have wooden decking and a personal hot tub.
Inside the pod, the open-plan living space has an airy yet comfortable feel, and the surrounding open fields visible through the glass French doors at the front of the pod add to the spacious feel.
Enjoy the incredible views of the stars at night from the wooden decking outside.
South View Retreat
This spot is situated amongst unspoiled countryside and beautiful mountain views, and each pod has a quirky and unique design.
Inside, the décor and soft furnishings are cosy and homely, allowing guests to easily settle in. Outside there are fire pits to enjoy s’mores in the evening after relaxing in the hot tub.
There is also an outdoor patio for eating outside on a nice evening and taking in the rural landscape. There is a choice of a pod for two, ideal for a couple’s short stay, or a pod for four, a great choice for a family.
Wigwam Holidays Water Hall Farm
Here, there are panoramic views of Sutton Bank where the site is located on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. Guests can stay in wooden pods, which each have a kitchenette inside the open plan living space as well as a full-size bed and sitting area.
There is a fire pit outside, so guests can have a rustic and traditional camping experience by cooking for themselves over the open flame.
On the wooden decking outside the pod there is a hot tub for each plot, adding the all-important glamour element to the glamping experience. On the farm, be sure to visit the resident alpacas and chickens.
The Paddock Pods @ Homeland
These luxurious wooden pods are self-contained and cosy, perfect for a romantic getaway. The underfloor heating side means that the accommodation is guaranteed to keep you warm on even the coldest of nights, and there are also plenty of blankets to snuggle up with.
There is a TV and DVD player inside for you to relax in front of a film on a lazy day. On a warmer day, make the most of the weather by sitting on the bench or picnic area where are tables and chairs allowing for outdoor eating.
The fire pit comes complete with marshmallow forks for you to roast some marshmallows in the evening. The Yorkshire coast is easily accessible from this spot, making it ideal for those wanting to have a beach day or take a walk through the beautiful natural landscape.
