Yorkshire Spa Retreat Reviews

"Honestly, the place feels a bit rough around the edges. The bean bags dont quite work and I think proper chairs and tables would make a big difference."
Emma - Apr 2025
"We stayed at this lodge recently and found it quite cosy, even if a bit smaller than our last place. It was spotless and warm when we arrived, which was lovely. Everything was working fine, though the shower heads could do with a descale or replacing-they sprayed in strange directions. The double bed was a bit lumpy, so a new mattress or topper might help. Overall, decent enough for a short stay!"
Rachel - Mar 2025
"Comfortable, friendly, great location"
Alex Morgan - Mar 2025
"We really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was spotless and beautifully decorated with a modern touch. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. Only tiny issue was the shower - it was either scorching or freezing, never a nice warm temp. Still, wed come back!"
Emma Roberts - Mar 2025
"Our Yorkshire Spa Retreat review: Really enjoyed our stay, would come back!"
Emma Carter - Mar 2025
"We had a really great stay! The place was spotless, bright and felt spacious - everything we needed was there. Our partner loved the coffee machine, which was a nice touch. The hot tub and outdoor gear were top-notch. Only stayed two nights, so didnt get to try the BBQ or enjoy the neighbours lovely smells. Next time, well bring some burgers for sure!"
Sam - Mar 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay, couldn't fault the lodge!"
Emma Carter - Mar 2025
"Our stay at Yorkshire Spa Retreat was genuinely lovely. The setting is so peaceful, perfect for unwinding and the staff couldnt have been more helpful. The spa was cosy, but we really enjoyed it, even if its on the smaller side. Treatments were quite good, though they only used basic massage oils, which was a bit disappointing considering the price (£125). Id love to see more options available. The grounds are attractive, but some areas still need a bit more planting and groundwork to really shine. Our lodge was beautiful and super comfortable, but the hot tubs location at the back of the lodge was a bit of a let down - overlooking a pile of earth and the back of the lodge, which isn't very scenic. Some creative planting or screening would make it better. Despite that, wed definitely come back!"
Emma Carter - Mar 2025
"We had a lovely stay! The lodge was super comfy, especially the master bedroom with plenty of storage. The kitchen was well-equipped and the BBQ was fantastic - honestly, the best Ive ever used. The second bedroom is a bit small for adults, more suited for kids, but overall, we enjoyed it. We were four adults plus two labradors, so next time, wed probably go for a bigger lodge to spread out a bit more. Still, it was a great experience!"
Alex - Mar 2025
"Absolutely loved our time here! The lodges are stunning and super comfy. The on-site spa was a real treat. Hope to come back soon! Id definitely recommend it to friends."
Rachel - Mar 2025
"We loved the spa and lodge overall, but the hot tub could really use better lighting nearby. Itd make getting in and out much safer, especially at night. Still, fantastic stay!"
Emma Clarke - Mar 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay, the place had everything we needed and was well thought out."
Emma Carter - Mar 2025
"We found the place quite well stocked with everything you'd need, but it was a bit grubby and way too warm since there was no thermostat to adjust the temperature. The bedding was down-filled, which isnt great for our asthma-me and the kids kept coughing and I struggled to breathe, so we ended up using our own bedding instead. Not ideal, really."
Emma - Feb 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was spotless, super comfy and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a real highlight!"
Jasmine - Feb 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay, will come back!"
Emma Carter - Feb 2025
"We really enjoyed our stay; the lodge was spotless with some lovely brand touches. The welcome hamper made us feel at home. Only downside was a strange smell that just wouldnt go away, even with diffusers. Its still lingering in our wash bag, which was odd!"
Emma Carter - Feb 2025
"Honestly, everything about this place was spot on. Someone clearly put a lot of thought into what guests might need, even the milk in the fridge! The hot tub was fantastic and the spa was truly top-notch. The food selection was impressive too, especially for gluten-free options across all courses. Thanks for a lovely stay!"
Alex - Feb 2025
"Great spot, spacious and cosy, really felt like a home away from home!"
Olivia - Jan 2025
"We had a lovely stay! The spa, lodge and food all exceeded expectations. Perfect spot for exploring nearby villages and enjoying peaceful walks. Very relaxing!"
Rachel - Jan 2025
"Lovely spot, super peaceful and perfect for unwinding. Foods really good and dogs are welcome!"
Olivia Carter - Jan 2025
"We stayed at this lodge and honestly, it was lovely. Everything was spotless, well stocked and the little touches like the local food hamper and treats for our dog made it special. Definitely recommend!"
Emma - Jan 2025
"Honestly, we had a lovely stay! The lodge was super clean and well-equipped - even robes, which was a nice touch. The outdoor spa and hot tub were perfect after a day out. Arriving to a Christmas Tree, gift pack and mince pies made it all the more special. Definitely a great way to kick off the holidays!"
Emma Carter - Jan 2025
"We really enjoyed our stay! The lodge had all we needed and the hamper was a lovely surprise when we arrived. Its tucked away nicely from neighbours, offering privacy. Only a quick drive to Helmsley. The 2-for-1 cocktails at the bar made it even better for a romantic break!"
Emma - Nov 2024
"We had an amazing stay at Yorkshire Spa Retreat! The Star shepherd's hut was super cosy and had everything we needed, from a massive TV to a Nespresso machine. The hot tub was just perfect, really private and relaxing. Were already planning to come back in summer to try out the BBQ kit. We also loved dining at The Dome twice-both times for lunch and grill night, it was a fantastic experience. Cant recommend it enough!"
Emma - Oct 2024
"We loved this cabin! Its our second visit and were already planning to return next year."
Emma Roberts - Oct 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, would recommend!"
Sarah - Sep 2024
"We really loved this place! The covered hot tub and outdoor area with a BBQ made it perfect for any weather. The lodge's appliances are top-notch and the whole vibe is just so relaxing. Can't wait to come back!"
