"We had a pretty decent weekend at the lodges. The hot tub was just what we needed for some relaxation. Getting food without a car was tricky unless you brought your own supplies, which was a bit annoying. The internet was terrible-didnt work at all during our stay-and signal was almost non-existent. Still, overall, it was a good break and wed recommend it!"

"We found the place really peaceful and the views were lovely, perfect for relaxing. The lodge was comfy and well-equipped, which was great. Sadly, the fishing was a bit of a letdown since we only caught a few fish and had to pay to fish. Plus, check-in at 4pm and check-out at 9am meant we lost valuable fishing time, especially on a fishing holiday. There were no amenities like a pub or restaurant on-site, so we had to travel for food and drinks. Still, overall, a nice spot to unwind, just a bit frustrating about the fishing hours."

"Venue its self was peaceful and relaxing with lovely views. Fishing was poor and had to pay to fish , with very little fish being caught . Check in time was 4pm so missed out on a days fishing and check out time was 9am so again missed out on a days fishing . Lodge was good and comfortable with all cooking utensils in good order . Was disappointed that we could only fish 3 days having booked a fishing holiday. No amenities on site ie pub /restaurant so had to travel for these ."

"We had a lovely stay at Paradise Lakes in York. The lodges are super comfy, warm and really well equipped. The whole site is kept spotless and we loved the peaceful vibe with plenty of birds around, plus a friendly hen that stuck close! Its a proper family-run place, very welcoming and warm-hearted. Definitely recommend!"

"We had a really great four-night stay and honestly, it was fantastic value for money. The bed was way more comfortable than ours at home, which was such a bonus! The lodge was spotless and well-maintained, with everything we needed - though I guess a dishwasher wouldve been handy, but its not a big deal for just two of us. The furniture was nice, but the leather sofa could use a bit of a refresh, even though it was still comfy."

"We stayed in the cabin recently and found it quite spacious and cosy for the evening. It had everything we needed, including a hairdryer, iron and a nice dining table. The living area was comfortable too. That said, we did notice the kitchen and bathroom could use a bit more attention - the kitchen floor was a bit sticky and the bathroom had some flies and spiders around the poles. Still, overall a decent stay!"

"Weve stayed here several times in different lodges, mainly for the tranquility. The staff are always friendly and willing to help, which is lovely. Well probably come back, but next time Ill bring my own frying pan, milk jug and some basic bits like decent mugs and tumblers since they werent provided this time around."

"We booked up for the paradise pod the week before the summer holidays kicked off for most people, which made it exceptionally priced! The only issues we experienced were completely out of their control - the complete insufferable heatwave of 40°. The last two days we spent in the pod were amazing, lovely and cool and made it possible to fully relax. However, the beginning two days, the heat made it insufferable, the extreme heat made it difficult to sit in the pod as it felt like a sauna, and it was difficult to sit out due to the humidity and copious flies. We chose to use the pod as a base and spent a day in Bridlington (much cooler weather) and in York centre. Paradise pods would have been the best holiday we had ever had if it wasn’t for the heatwave which made our young daughter very ill. Be prepared to live out of a suitcase as the pods are very compact - however, if you are bit bothered about space then they are ideal. We will be booking up for next year, and hopefully missing any heatwave!"

"Lovely little lodge in the country side nothing on site have to travel out in car, clean on arrival staff welcoming and explained everything only disadvantage was that we could not lock the doors as they were broken."

"If you want a proper break from the chaos this is perfect. Absolutely perfect for couples to just chill out and unwind. My husband and I felt so relaxed and chilled. It’s all lovely and clean and we organised. Just slide your cases under the bed and relax . The ducks were absolutely adorable. We loved it"
