Paradise Lakeside Lodges Reviews

"Really enjoyed our stay"
Emma Carter - Mar 2025
"Great spot to chill out and recharge"
Emma Carter - Feb 2025
"We had a pretty decent weekend at the lodges. The hot tub was just what we needed for some relaxation. Getting food without a car was tricky unless you brought your own supplies, which was a bit annoying. The internet was terrible-didnt work at all during our stay-and signal was almost non-existent. Still, overall, it was a good break and wed recommend it!"
Alex - Jan 2025
"We had a lovely stay at the lodge! It was super cosy and spotless, with everything we needed already there. The hot tub was a real highlight - clean and nice and warm when we arrived. Parking right outside was handy too. Definitely recommend!"
Emma - Jan 2025
"Our Paradise Lakeside Lodges review: We really enjoyed our stay, especially the stunning views and the hot tub. Staff were super friendly and helpful."
Mark - Jan 2025
"The sofas could really do with some cushions to make things cozier. Also, bringing towels and hand wash would be a massive help-had to brave Storm Darrah just to grab these essentials. Bit of a pain!"
Emma - Dec 2024
"We found the place really peaceful and the views were lovely, perfect for relaxing. The lodge was comfy and well-equipped, which was great. Sadly, the fishing was a bit of a letdown since we only caught a few fish and had to pay to fish. Plus, check-in at 4pm and check-out at 9am meant we lost valuable fishing time, especially on a fishing holiday. There were no amenities like a pub or restaurant on-site, so we had to travel for food and drinks. Still, overall, a nice spot to unwind, just a bit frustrating about the fishing hours."
Oliver - Sep 2024
"We had an amazing time! The park was beautifully kept and super welcoming."
Emma - Apr 2024
"We had a lovely stay at Paradise Lakes in York. The lodges are super comfy, warm and really well equipped. The whole site is kept spotless and we loved the peaceful vibe with plenty of birds around, plus a friendly hen that stuck close! Its a proper family-run place, very welcoming and warm-hearted. Definitely recommend!"
Sarah - Mar 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay! The Pods were spotless and had all the essentials. It was warm, comfy and just the right size for us and our little one-year-old. Having our own bathroom was a big bonus too. Definitely recommend!"
Emma - Mar 2024
"We had a lovely time staying here! The setting is so peaceful and scenic, with the lake just a few steps from the door - perfect for fishing. The wildlife, especially the birds and ducks, made it even more special. The hut was spotless and well-equipped for our short stay. Definitely coming back!"
Emma - Mar 2024
"We had a really great four-night stay and honestly, it was fantastic value for money. The bed was way more comfortable than ours at home, which was such a bonus! The lodge was spotless and well-maintained, with everything we needed - though I guess a dishwasher wouldve been handy, but its not a big deal for just two of us. The furniture was nice, but the leather sofa could use a bit of a refresh, even though it was still comfy."
Emily Carter - Feb 2024
"Really enjoyed the vibe and staff."
Sam - Feb 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, the place was cosy and spotlessly clean, perfect for unwinding quietly."
Emma - Feb 2024
"We had a really great stay, the hot tub was a highlight and fishing was top notch. Well be back soon!"
Emma Carter - Jan 2024
"We had an absolutely brilliant Christmas getaway! The place itself was breathtaking-spacious, beautifully maintained and spotless. The beds were incredibly comfy, making it super cosy and welcoming. The value for money was fantastic and the staff couldnt have been nicer or more helpful. We loved it so much we booked our next trip before leaving! Thanks, Paradise Park, for such a lovely stay-cant wait to return!"
Emily Carter - Dec 2023
"We had such a lovely Christmas here! The peaceful setting made everything feel special and the place was spotless and cosy. Big thanks to Paradise for another wonderful stay-truly memorable!"
Charlie Evans - Dec 2023
"Looking forward to returning soon"
David - Nov 2023
"Lovely spot for a chilled fishing trip, perfect for relaxing with family. We loved it!"
Mike Harrison - Nov 2023
"This spot is ideal for unwinding, with stunning countryside views. We really enjoyed the peaceful vibe and can't wait to return!"

Emma - Aug 2020
"Really nice, would do again"
Claire - Aug 2020
"Really impressed, would recommend"
Jessica - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed the calm atmosphere here, definitely plan to come again soon!"
Rachel - Aug 2020
"We had a lovely holiday here! The location is perfect for visiting York and Bridlington easily. The peaceful vibe was just what we needed and the hot tub was fantastic. Staff were super friendly and helpful too!"
Emma - Aug 2020
"We really enjoyed our stay, the setting was beautiful and peaceful. Watching red deer and squirrels from our pod made it even more special. Wish we could stay longer!"
James - Aug 2020
"We had a fantastic time! The pods were super comfortable and had all the essentials you could ask for. The quiet spot was perfect for a relaxing break, yet still close enough to York to explore easily. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Great value for August too-can't wait to come back!"
Emma - Aug 2020
"We had such a lovely time staying here! The pods are super charming and cosy and they stay warm during the day, which was perfect. Only thing was, after a hot day, it could do with some air con - just to keep things extra comfortable. Mornings by the lake were definitely a highlight, such a peaceful way to start the day. The location is pretty quiet, tucked away down a country lane, so it's nice and secluded, but that also means theres not much to do locally within half an hour, especially with the bridge being closed. Pocklington is a cute little village nearby, great for grabbing a snack or a quick shop. Yorks about 40 minutes away and is absolutely worth a visit! The staff really made our stay special - so friendly and genuinely helpful. I was on crutches during our visit and they couldnt have been more accommodating, helping with our bags and offering tips about the area. The price was fantastic too - around £72 for four nights for both of us, which is a total bargain. We definitely plan to come back again, no doubt about it!"
Alex - Aug 2020
"After everything, this was just what we needed! Losing my stepdad was tough, so taking my mum for some family time was really special."
Emma - Aug 2020
"Amazing place so quiet staff really helpfull can t wait to go again soon"
Mark - Aug 2022
"Was very surprised by the pod. Small but perfectly formed! Had everything you could need. Have stayed in the lodges before but the pods seemed to be more chilled and peaceful which is exactly what we needed after a pretty rough year."
Carolyn - Aug 2022
"Had a lovely time. The pod was pristine when we arrived. The grounds were lovely and peaceful. Being in the middle of nowhere there was a drive to get to places but that wasn't a problem, the tranquility was exactly what we were looking for. Will definitely be recommending to others."
Jessica - Aug 2022
"My son and mate thought it was great the fishing was fab can't wait to go again"
Beverley - Jul 2022
"Great holiday and fishing"
Linda - Jul 2022
"Excellent value for money. Quiet, secluded and beautiful setting."
Kirstie - Jul 2022
"Great stay will be back"
Paul - Jul 2022
"Good location, clean and very friendly place."
Sandra - Jul 2022
"Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn’t fault the accommodation or location as very central to our needs."
Nicola - Jul 2022
"Beautiful surroundings, very well designed pod in terms of utilising a small space as well as you can. Best pod we’ve been to and staff on arrival were outstanding. Definitely would visit again ???"
Jonathan - Jul 2022
"Absolutely beautiful place, fantastic pod & wonderful helpful staff especially Ralph! Will be visiting again, highly recommended"
Danielle - Jul 2022
"We booked up for the paradise pod the week before the summer holidays kicked off for most people, which made it exceptionally priced! The only issues we experienced were completely out of their control - the complete insufferable heatwave of 40°. The last two days we spent in the pod were amazing, lovely and cool and made it possible to fully relax. However, the beginning two days, the heat made it insufferable, the extreme heat made it difficult to sit in the pod as it felt like a sauna, and it was difficult to sit out due to the humidity and copious flies. We chose to use the pod as a base and spent a day in Bridlington (much cooler weather) and in York centre. Paradise pods would have been the best holiday we had ever had if it wasn’t for the heatwave which made our young daughter very ill. Be prepared to live out of a suitcase as the pods are very compact - however, if you are bit bothered about space then they are ideal. We will be booking up for next year, and hopefully missing any heatwave!"
Holly - Jul 2022
"Lovely little lodge in the country side nothing on site have to travel out in car, clean on arrival staff welcoming and explained everything only disadvantage was that we could not lock the doors as they were broken."
Charlotte - Jul 2022
"Lovely 4 day stay with the kids. Great location and super peaceful, well run park with helpful staff. Would definitely recommend."
Louise - Jul 2022
"If you want a proper break from the chaos this is perfect. Absolutely perfect for couples to just chill out and unwind. My husband and I felt so relaxed and chilled. It’s all lovely and clean and we organised. Just slide your cases under the bed and relax . The ducks were absolutely adorable. We loved it"
