Luxury timber lodges set in mature woodland overlooking a small lake. The lodges are presented to a very high standard and are adult only, however certain properties allow you to bring one special small four-legged friend. This site is particularly suited to couples seeking a beautiful environment, both inside and out, with oversized south facing sun decks, getting the sun from morning to sunset. Within close proximity to its associated business, The Oaks Golf Club and Spa, which is a relaxed atmosphere, 5-star facility, offering exceptional food, golf, driving range and acclaimed health spa, boasting swimming pool, hot tub/jacuzzi, sauna, steam, aroma and heated waterbed rooms. There is also a gym and treatment rooms offering a multitude of temple spa treatments (bookings to be made directly). These facilities make the lodges a great choice should your break hit a spell of inclement weather! You will also find Temple Spa products in the lodge bathrooms.
It is in close proximity to the fabulous city of York, recently being voted in the top 10 most scenic places in England, and boasting many attractions including York Races, the Viking centre, the Minster, the Shambles, Stonegate, Coney Street, Castle Museum, National Railway Museum, Elvington Air Museum, Main Line Railway Station and all the Olde World streets and walks, try walking the city walls or enrol on a ghost walk, through all the small ginnels, three major shopping centres, the Designer Outlet, the Vanguard Centre, and Clifton Moore, RIVER Cruises A gastronomic heaven, try Bettys, The Ivy, The Star in the City , Del Rios, plus many others. The famous North Yorkshire Moors, the Yorkshire Dales and the coast are all lovely for a day out. Several stately homes including Castle Howard (Brideshead revisited) Sledmere, and Burton Agnes.
Beautiful surrounding towns include Beverley, Helmsley, Milton, Harrogate and seaside resorts of Scarborough, Whitby, Filey and Bridlington.
This is a nature lovers dream where you are quite likely to see deer, geese, ducks, pheasants, red kites, buzzards etc. to name but a few, and is in close proximity to the famous Derwent Ings SSSI Lowland Nature reserve, which in winter hosts thousands of migrating swans, geese and wildfowl.
The local village is Bubwith (1 mile away) has a post office, off licence, general store, The Jug and Bottle, which, as the name suggests, serves flagons of beer to take back to your lodge, and is also a delicatessen, an Indian restaurant/takeaway. The nearest small towns are Howden and Pocklington which have all the expected services.

Oak Boutique Lodge with hot tub is a smart lodge overlooking the lake and its position maximises the evening sun. It benefits from underfloor heating throughout and air conditioning. It has an open plan kitchen, diner and lounge overlooking the large deck and lake. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and toaster. All cooking eating utensils are provided. The dining table overlooks the lake. The lounge area has two genuine leather chairs with footstools. Each chair has back massage and heat built in should you fancy a little more relaxation. There is a 42-inch flat screen TV with Freeview and lovely log effect fire. The large deck has a professional barbecue, outdoor table and chairs and reclining sun chairs. The bedroom includes a king size bed, wardrobe with drawers, bedside tables with dimmable lamps and a flat screen TV. The adjoining ensuite bathroom has a smart shower, WC, vanity unit /basin with illuminated mirror and a heated towel rail. All linen and towels are provided.

Open plan kitchen, diner, lounge overlooking the large deck and lake. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and toaster. All cooking / eating utensils are provided. There is a dining table overlooking the terrace and lake. The lounge area is equipped with a real leather sofa and reclining armchair, 42-inch flatscreen TVs with Freeview and a log effect fire. The deck has a professional barbecue, table and chairs with sun umbrella and reclining sun chairs. The bedroom includes a king size bed, wardrobe with drawers, bedside tables/lamps, and a small flat screen TV. A lovely ensuite bathroom has a modern well-appointed shower, WC, vanity unit/basin with illuminated mirror and a heated towel rail. All linen and towels are provided.

If you are enjoying a lodge holiday in Yorkshire then a visit to York Maze is a must! This summertime attraction is now one of the most popular in the region offering fun for the whole family. The maze has been improved this year and is now bigger and better than ever before. Carved from an amazing 1.5 million growing maize plants it is thought to be the largest maze in the world! As well as the maze itself the site boasts an adventure playground, 9 hole crazy golf courses and an animal petting area where children can meet the cute and friendly animals that eat the maize and watch pig racing! Tractor and trailer rides around the maize are also available and are recommended for those with young children.
Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens - YO19 6HP

A day trip to Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens is the perfect way to relax with several gardens to explore in the grounds of a historic farmhouse. The gardens were established 30 years ago and each has something different to offer. Expect to find dramatic displays of foliage and flowers as well as beautifully landscaped areas. Families will enjoy the woodland which leads to a wildlife pond and a beautiful wildflower meadow. The site runs morning courses in gardening throughout the summer which are priced at just £12 and include coffee. There is also a nursery onsite where plants can be purchased. The Deep - HU1 4DP

Easily accessible from our Yorkshire Dales lodge parks is The Deep! An award-winning 'submarium', attraction, which is home to over 3500 fish from around the globe. Visitors can a stroll through Europe's deepest viewing tunnel and take a thrilling a glass lift ride through the 10m deep tank. The Deep is also home to the world's largest exhibition, featuring weird animals from the depths combined with slime! Educational talks and events take place daily so visitors can learn about the conservation projects which the centre is involved in. There is also a fantastic restaurant over looking some of the displays and a souvenir shop. Family tickets are priced at just £32.00.
Flamingo Land - YO60 7EW
about 25 Miles
Situated in Malton in North Yorkshire this has to be one of our favourite family days out.  It's a theme park and zoo all in one stretching over a massive 400 acres. With thrilling rides for the very daring like Cliff Hanger, Corkscrew and Kumali, there are also more gentle rides for the little ones such as Frog Hopper and Helitoys.  Family fun attractions include the 4D cinema, the lost river ride and the Little Monsters Den of Mischief. Check out their website for seasonal events which take place throughout the year and you can also gain more information about the zoo.  Flamingo Land is a resort as well as a theme park so you can also book accommodation there.
Fountains Abbey - HG4 3DY
about 32 Miles
This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families.  Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit.  The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
Betton Farm Visitor Centre - TF9 3PS

Betton Farm Visitor Centre is the ideal attraction close to the North Yorkshire coastal town of Scarborough. This animal farm has all the cute farm animals you would expect to see and will appeal to younger children especially.  A great place to both play and learn we think the Betton Farm Visitor centre is great value for money.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs.  Some of the highlights of the day might include meeting Sofie the Shetland Pony and Henry the goat, as well as the pot bellied pigs called Porky and Hammy. 
Lightwater Valley - HG4 3HT
about 35 Miles
Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.  The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower.  For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel.  Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too.  If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.
