All of the lodges could be described as modern and enjoy mod cons including flatscreen TV/DVD, freeview and well equipped kitchen with microwave.

If you like to get out and explore the local area has much to offer.  Some enjoyable days out include the York Dungeon and York Races both of which are within easy reach of Wighill Manor Lodges.  For families Monk Park Farm is well worth a visit in Bagby around 21 miles from the lodges.  Here you will find an adventure playground, farm and nature trail among other things.

Wighill Manor Lodges Reviews

"It was very clean and had all the equipment you would need for a self catered holiday. The hot tub was perfect after a long day exploring. The beds were very comfy, although the Pillows didn't match this (but this is just my personal taste)My only piece of feedback would be to add a gate at the top of the steps for families with small children or dogs to help keep them contained."

Donna - Apr 2025
"We really enjoyed our stay at this lodge. Its tucked away nicely, so super peaceful and perfect for relaxing. The hot tub was a highlight! Its our second visit now and well definitely be returning again. Feels like a cosy home away from home."
Emma - Apr 2025
"Excellent location for visiting Yorkshire. Couples 7 night stay in Oak 1 in March. Lovely quiet location, very clean and spacious lodge, well equipped, even weighing scales and sieve which are usually not found in lodges weve stayed in. Hot tub was great after a day sightseeing and very warm. Lots of storage space and hangers for clothes. Netflix available on tv. Well definitely like to visit again. Had to clean washing machine drawer before using the machine, but thats the only negative."

"Really enjoyed our stay! The lodges were spotless and had everything we needed. Were already planning to come back again soon."
Sam - Nov 2024
"We recently stayed at this lovely little spot for a week and honestly, it was just what we needed - super peaceful and pretty quiet. There are only five lodges here, but theyve done a good job making sure each one feels private, thanks to the hedging between them. The decking looks out onto a grassy area and beyond that, fields, so its lovely to sit out with a coffee. You do hear a bit of traffic, but its not intrusive at all. The hot tub is sunk into the decking, which makes getting in and out really easy and theres a wooden table with chairs plus a small circular BBQ on the deck too - perfect for evening meals. Parkings right next to the lodge, which is handy. The kitchen is well-stocked - honestly, it had everything we needed, even a set of scales! The washing machine doubles as a dryer, so drying clothes wasnt a hassle if youre not keen on airers. The shower is a decent size and straightforward to use and the main bathroom has a deep bath with a shower over it, which is great for relaxing. The living room can get a bit drafty when the winds strong, but the electric stove-style fire keeps it cosy enough. The beds are comfy and clean, though we did notice some cobwebs and dust behind a set of drawers - maybe not cleaned as often as they should be. The lodge was spotless and nicely presented. The WiFi is a bit rubbish, honestly - its based on a mobile router on the 3 network, so it kept dropping out and when it was working, it was pretty slow, around 4mbps. Not really suitable for working or streaming videos, but fine for basic browsing. Overall, a lovely place to unwind!"
Charlie - Oct 2024
"We had a wonderful stay! The lodges beds and bedding were super comfy and everything you need in the kitchen was there-microwave, utensils, you name it. The private decking with those lovely views was a real highlight. Hot tub was spotless and so relaxing. Loved it!"
Alexandra - Sep 2024
"Beautiful lodge, impeccably clean with the most gorgeous views. Cant recommend highly enough. Perfect."
Catherine - Jun 2024
"The sofa wasnt the comfiest and fitting six people on it was a challenge. But the beds were really good, the showers top-notch and the hot tub was lovely! Overall, a pretty decent lodge and we enjoyed our stay."
Chris - Jun 2024
"We loved staying here! The location is perfect for exploring, super peaceful and quiet. Only about 20 minutes to Askham Bar park and ride - definitely recommend for visiting York. Whitby is a must-see too. Melanie was so friendly and helpful, made us feel really welcome. Would stay again!"
Rachel - May 2024
"Willow Lodge was just what we needed for a cosy getaway. Spotless and fully equipped, plus a lovely pub nearby. Plenty of activities within a short drive too!"
Matt - Apr 2024
"We had to find last-minute accommodation because our previous plan fell through thanks to the weather. A quick call and luckily, there was no issue with availability. Melanie greeted us at the farm and she was genuinely lovely and friendly. The cabin itself was fantastic - peaceful location and just five cabins so it wasnt crowded at all. We did have a small problem with the shower not draining properly, but Rupert sorted it out really quickly, within half an hour, which was great. He was such a nice guy to chat with. The kitchen was well-equipped and they even provided tea, coffee, milk and biscuits to get us started. Whether you want to explore or just relax in the hot tub, its a perfect spot. We loved it so much weve already booked again for later in the year!"
Charlotte - Jan 2024
"We really liked the overall vibe of the place-spotlessly clean and in such a peaceful spot. Its a lovely setting, perfect if you're after a quiet escape. However, we did find it a bit frustrating that we couldnt park our van right outside the chalet, even though there was plenty of space and it wouldnt have blocked anyone. No explanation was given, just a vague rule about no commercial vehicles. Also, not being able to charge our power-tool batteries was a bit of a pain, especially since there was no power on site either. Again, no reason was provided for that. These little things did affect our stay a bit. All in all, its a nice place, but a few more clear details would make it even better!"
Reliable Guest - Sep 2023
"We really enjoyed our weekend here. The lodges had everything we needed and the surrounding scenery was absolutely lovely. During these strange times with coronavirus, check-in and check-out times were a bit strict, which is why the value for money score isnt higher, but honestly, the staff were super friendly and unobtrusive. Wed definitely come back!"
James - Aug 2020
"Despite the nasty storms, our holiday wasnt ruined at all. Melanie gave us such a warm, friendly welcome, it made everything better."
Mark - Feb 2020
