Wold View Farm Reviews

"Wold View Farm is honestly a gem! We recently stayed in the farmers retreat lodge and it was just fantastic. The place is beautifully kept, really modern yet cosy and had everything we needed for a relaxing week. We got super lucky with the weather, which made the stunning views even better. Plenty of walks around the area, perfect for the dog to stretch his legs. The lodge felt very private, yet the owners were just a call away if we needed anything. The hot tub and log burner really made the evenings special. That dog shower was such a clever touch after long walks. Would definitely recommend - you wont be disappointed!"
Emma - Mar 2025
"We had a fantastic time at this cottage, honestly one of the best stays we've had. The privacy was spot on; we werent overlooked at all while relaxing in the hot tub, which was perfect for unwinding and soaking up the wildlife and stunning views without any interruptions. Inside, the lodge felt cosy with a lovely log burner and it was well stocked with everything we needed for a comfy stay. The heated bathroom floor was a lovely touch and the shower was great. The welcome basket was really thoughtful too. Theres plenty to explore nearby - we enjoyed some great meals at the Old Star Inn in Kilham, definitely worth a visit. The only thing that was a bit of a downer was checkout at 9am, a little early for us night owls! The owner was friendly and helpful on arrival but left us to enjoy our break, which we appreciated. Overall, lovely experience!"
Emily - Feb 2025
"We had such a lovely stay! The hot tub and log burner made everything cosy and the heated dog shower was a real bonus for our pup. We'll be back!"

"Our Wold View Farm review: We spent a week at the Farmers Retreat at World View Farm from late August into early September 2024. The directions to get there were clear and easy to follow, which was a relief. When we arrived, the owners greeted us via intercom and gave us a quick tour of the lodge-really friendly folks. Parking was plentiful and there was a secure area for our two black Labradors, though they did need to stay on leads. Still, the space was generous enough for them to stretch their legs. The walk to the cabin was lovely, with a charming wood-chip path lit by hanging bulbs, creating a cosy vibe. The cabin itself was spacious and easy to access. We found the beds really comfy and having two bathrooms was handy. The hot tub was definitely a highlight - absolutely loved soaking in it, especially with that stunning view. We also appreciated the TV, Wi-Fi and Netflix - a nice touch for winding down. A couple of small suggestions: a lamp for the corner and a full-sized freezer would be handy. Also, a mop or vacuum would have helped us keep things tidy, but maybe thats just personal preference. The owners were thoughtful, leaving a dog treat box and supplies for the hot tub, like plastic glasses, towels and robes. Although we didnt need much assistance, their detailed guidebook was packed with useful info about local spots and dog-friendly pubs. Overall, a lovely stay!"
Alex - Oct 2024
"We had such a lovely stay at Woodmans Cottage for our anniversary, bringing along our two dogs. The scenery was breathtaking, whether we were relaxing on the decking or unwinding in the hot tub. The cottage was spotless and really well stocked, with every little detail thoughtfully arranged by the owners. The welcome was warm and we found some sweet little gifts inside-scones and treats for the dogs, which was a lovely touch. It was such a peaceful, rejuvenating break; were already planning to come back once we sort out our annual leave. Thanks a lot!"
Emma - Aug 2024
"We loved the lodge! Its got everything you might need for self-catering and the welcome pack for us and our dog was such a thoughtful touch. Those scones really are fantastic! Its spacious but still feels cosy, perfect for a getaway."
Ellie Carter - Apr 2024
"From the moment we stepped in, we felt really comfortable. Daniel greeted us cheerfully, gave us a quick tour of the lodge and explained how to reach him if needed, then left us to settle in. They had a lovely welcome basket with treats and an info booklet listing local spots to visit, eat and some background on the place itself. The lodge was cosy, peaceful and simply decorated, with everything we could possibly need. The view from the lounge and kitchen was stunning and it was just as lovely from the hot tub. The place was spotless and all the appliances worked perfectly. Its a great spot for exploring East Yorkshire - Hornseas fish & chips are definitely worth trying! The weather wasnt the best, but it didnt ruin our family holiday. Weve found our go-to East Yorkshire getaway now - were sure youll love it too! Highly recommend!"
Emma Carter - Feb 2024
"The cabin really is charming and just like the photos. The super king bed was super comfy and the welcome pack was a nice touch. The owners were friendly and quick to answer any questions - we loved it!"
Emma - Jan 2024
"We loved this lodge! The welcome hamper was a lovely touch, especially for our dog. The hot tub has stunning views and is perfect for unwinding. Honestly, can't wait to return soon!"

Emma - Jan 2024
"A lovely little getaway spot, perfect for unwinding and enjoying some quiet time. Highly recommend."
James - Dec 2023
"Honestly, we had a fantastic stay here! The place is really lovely - warm, welcoming and spotless. From the moment we arrived, the welcome pack, dog treats and my favourite scones with crme and jam made us feel right at home. The hot tub was just perfect for relaxing under the stars after a day out. Theres even a shower for the dog and a paddock for walks, which was great for our furry friend. Its only about 5 miles into Driffield, so all the local shops are nearby and its a 25-minute drive to Bridlington or an hour to York. We did some lovely long walks nearby. One small thing - the TVs a bit high on the wall and a smaller casserole oven would be handy. Maybe a pagoda over the hot tub in bad weather? But honestly, these are tiny points. Overall, wed definitely recommend it - a solid 10/10!"
Harriet - Nov 2023
"We just had an amazing week away, escaping everything. Everything was so well thought out - super comfy and cosy. The hot tub and wood burner were definitely the best bits for us."

"We had an amazing stay at the Gamekeepers Lodge! The place is beautifully maintained and super clean, which made us feel right at home. The views over the countryside are stunning, especially when relaxing in the hot tub - such a treat! The site feels very private and secure, plus there's a field where our dog could run freely, which was perfect. Every little detail has been thought through - from the well-stocked kitchen to the cosy log burner. We even tried making homemade pizzas in the pizza oven, which was great fun. The lodge has a real luxurious vibe and were already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!"
James - Jan 1970

The hot tub was massive and a real highlight-perfect for unwinding at the start or end of the day. We loved the stunning views of the fields from the decking and while relaxing in the hot tub. Sarah - Jan 1970
"We had such a lovely stay at this place! The cabin offers stunning views and its perfectly tucked away from the hustle and bustle, yet still within easy reach of local spots. Laura and Dan were really friendly and went out of their way to help us, even bringing their dog over for a quick hello. We loved how peaceful it was, ideal for a proper break. Were already planning to come back and cant wait to see the new expansion when its finished. There are also some cracking restaurants nearby if you fancy a night off cooking and the welcome file had all the info we needed. Highly recommend!"

Emma - Jan 1970
"We had a lovely stay! The cabin was beautifully decorated and super clean, with everything we needed. The view from the hot tub was stunning, though we didnt get to enjoy it as much as wed liked due to the weather. The welcome packs for us and our dog were a thoughtful touch and the free Wifi and Netflix kept us busy during the rain. Very enjoyable!"

Emma - Jan 1970
"We had an amazing 4-night stay at Wold View Farm. The views were absolutely stunning and the warm welcome was a lovely touch-welcome baskets with scones, tea, coffee, local ale and prosecco. Our dog even got his own basket! The cosy log cabin was just right for the two of us, super private, with lovely countryside vistas and cows grazing nearby. We enjoyed watching rabbits hop around too. The log fire was perfect for chilly evenings and we cooked some fresh pizzas there. Definitely recommending it and already planning our return!"
Harper - Jan 1970
"The lodges are really comfy and set in a gorgeous spot, perfect for exploring the east coast. We had an amazing family holiday, truly memorable!"

"We honestly loved these lodges! Theyre beautifully crafted and had everything we needed - even more than expected. Since we came with a baby and a little one, it was great to find a high chair and cot already there. The hot tub and fire were a real treat, perfect for relaxing. The setting is so peaceful and the hosts are genuinely lovely. The beds are super comfy too. Plus, theyre on-site if you need anything and the welcome pack was a really nice touch. Definitely recommend!"
Emma - Jan 1970
"Log cabin was fabulous, everything we needed for a very chilled getaway."
Amanda - Jul 2022
"Great lodge in a spectacular location. Owners were extremely helpful to our last minute change of date due to a child medical emergency. The lodge was well kitted out with very good quality fixtures. The only additions I think would be beneficial would be a coffee machine for the morning caffeine fix and fly screens on some of the door/windows (given we had the hottest week so far and the flying critters were in full swing). Lots of great wildlife from owls to hares on constant volume and show, the hot tub was a real family pleaser. Allowing the four legged friends to come was also a great addition although a small fenced garden would be a great thing to add if space would allow. The welcome packs for both human and dogs were brilliant and gratefully received. Quality towels and robes throughout and smashingly comfortable and large beds in all rooms. Location is within reasonable commute to coastal towns and also York. Would happily recommend and also book again."
Simon - Jul 2022
"Immaculate lodge in a very private location although less than a mile from the main road. Within easy access to the coast and a relatively unspoilt main stret in Driffield with its Thursday Market."
Keith - Jul 2022
"A lovely break in lovely surroundings and excellent lodge easy to get to places but yet still feel away from it all"
Gillian - Jun 2022
"Absolutely fantastic break. Lodge was fantastic in a beautiful location. We've already booked again"
Kristina - May 2022
"As my wife’s 70th birthday celebration it delivered on all counts. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. We enjoyed the whole experience so much we’ve already booked a return trip next year"
Sheila - May 2022
"very good place for short stay"
William - May 2022
"This was a beautiful lodge perfect"
Natalie - May 2022
"Lovely cabin and really nicely thought out welcome baskets. Fluffy towels, cosy log burner and very nice hot tub. Really in the middle of nowhere so very quiet for a peaceful holiday."
Katrina - Apr 2022
"Had an amazing family weekend in the gamekeepers lodge. A lovely warm welcome from the owners and beautiful welcome baskets both for us and our dog. Stayed with my husband, two children, grandparents and our Labrador. Everyone had an amazing time and we would all definitely recommend."
Louise - Mar 2022
"Stunning lodge and location. Really lovely welcome pack on arrival and good information package. Would definitely book again"
Ria - Mar 2022
"Just an amazing place, wish we could have stayed forever."
Rebecca - Mar 2022
"This has been the most wonderful wedding surprise from my husband for our mini honeymoon. Quiet relaxing and just plain perfect. The cabin is great with everything you might need, the welcome packs are also well thought out as they actually gave us a present and card, so thoughtful! The hot tub placement is excellent with being secluded With amazing views, especially at sunset, and with being so dark it’s perfect for seeing the stars on a clear night….yes and we did this even in February with temperatures at 6 degrees ? Basically a great place with great hosts, we will definitely come again and have already recommended this place to our friends and family. Thanks again for making this a wonderful experience"
Martin - Mar 2022
