The lodges themselves have been carefully designed and styled to create a luxurious and modern feel. With plenty of mod cons and a spacious interior you can enjoy contemporary living at it's best.

We love the Kingfisher Lodge for couples.  This luxury retreat sleeping 2 has a TV/DVD and ipod dock as well as a stunning bathroom with jacuzzi bath. The bedroom has a kingsize bed and the outdoor decking offers glorious views over the lake.  There is also the added bonus of a private outdoor hot tub.  Other great options include the Sandpiper Lodge which sleeps 6 and the Heron Lodge which sleeps 4.

Hornsea Lakeside Lodges Reviews

"Really disappointing. Stayed in 4 bedroom lodge that is in desperate need of updating. Dining chairs falling apart. Broken bed that would of been see when being made up. Grounds full of dog mess and cigarette butts .Staff were very quick to assist us with issues"
Phil - Apr 2025
"I would say this is one of the best locations I've been too, no entertainment which is brilliant as it's so quiet local area is lovely It is being developed but I hope n9t too much so it doesn't lose its friendly family run vibe"
Verified Guest - Apr 2025
"Nice little lodge had everything you needed. Nice watching the other people do abit of fishing"
Christopher - Apr 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay! The lodge had all we needed and watching others fish was fun."
James - Apr 2025
"Our Hornsea Lakeside Lodges review: Clean and tidy"
Melanie - Mar 2025
"Very dated dirty. Have been in the past but needs a good clean."
Jeannie - Mar 2025
"Lots of home comforts and we'll equipped. Could do with better quality mattresses as they weren't the most comfortable"
Gail - Mar 2025
"Really cosy place with all the essentials covered. The only downside was the mattresses, which could be more comfy."
Rachel - Mar 2025
"Really enjoyed our short getaway here. The peaceful lakeside setting and birdwatching made it special. Just a heads up, if the hot tubs cold, call emergency! Great spot!"
Emma Carter - Feb 2025
"We stayed at this place recently and honestly, it felt like we were in a little home away from home. Everything was spotless and tidy, which was a relief. We always wash our dishes beforehand, but it was clear that everything had just been through the dishwasher, so no worries there. The hot tub was fantastic-clean and perfect for relaxing. My only gripe is that on the morning we checked out, we noticed someone, probably maintenance, walking around our lodge at about 8am and by 9am they were draining the hot tub. We could have easily been enjoying it! Our checkout was at 10am, so it felt a bit rushed, like they were eager to get us out. Still, a lovely stay overall."
Emily Carter - Feb 2025
"Great place, spacious lodges, great friendly staff,we just keep coming back,we cannot get enough relaxation,a great getaway."
Sharon - Feb 2025
"Hi, I recently stayed at an accommodation that Ive booked with you. I checked in on Friday night to find tons of dead and alive flies in the building. We immediately called reception to address the issue we were then told that it hadnt been cleaned for a week and that maintenance would come out to resolve the issue. We then woke up Saturday morning to find the lodge infested again theyre everywhere its none stop we physically cannot relax. We have had to buy our own bug spray to try temporarily fix the issue while waiting for maintenance. Unfortunately, no one has come to help us. We have stayed at these lodge cabins for the past 4 years with family and friends. Weve never experienced anything like this and dont want too ever again. We left on Sunday unfortunately as I would rather be at home than have stayed any longer. The cabin smells, theres something rotten somewhere its really unacceptable and a possible health hazard. My concern is that youve allowed us to stay here, its disgusting and I cant say Ive experienced anything like this. the cabin hasnt been cleaned, maintained properly and its not up to standard and youve breached hygiene requirements. For what youve charged us, I wouldnt pay to stay here or recommend it after this experience. Its cost us so much more to travel down over 100miles for a complete disappointment. We look forward to our Christmas get away which has definitely become a nightmare."
Tyler - Dec 2024
"We had a really lovely stay at this good place! The location is so peaceful and private, perfect for a quiet escape. The owners were super friendly and on hand if we needed anything, but they kept a nice distance which we appreciated. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day of cycling. Just a heads up, the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didnt spoil our trip at all. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing break!"
Raj - Dec 2024
"Excellent weekend all round will be back soon"
Donna - Dec 2024
"Really enjoyed our time here"
Alex - Nov 2024
"The lodge was really lovely, we felt right at home. Everything was spotless, apart from a few plates and dishes, but honestly, we'd wash those anyway. The fridge and freezers were huge, perfect for storing everything. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, which was great. We loved having both indoor and outdoor seating options. The hot tub was big enough for two and super clean. The wood burner was a real highlight. Would totally recommend this place!"
Harriet - Nov 2024
"Great spot, super relaxing and the staff couldn't be more helpful."
Sarah - Oct 2024
"Relaxing stay, totally worth the money we spent here."
Oliver Smith - Oct 2024
"A nice well earned rest well worth the money"
Wayne - Oct 2024
"We had a fantastic week here from 15th to 22nd July with our two little dachshunds, who absolutely loved the place! They made loads of new friends in the charming village of Thaxted. The cottage itself is really lovely, especially the hot tub - perfect for those scorching days when the water cooled down just enough to be super refreshing. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming; it was nice to see their horses being taken to the fields each day. Being near Stansteds flight path was actually pretty cool, watching the planes arrive. Wed definitely recommend it!"
Clara - Sep 2024
"Everything was spot on! The hosts really go above and beyond. We felt so relaxed and will tell our friends about it."
Mark - May 2024
"We had a really pleasant stay and the place was spotless and comfy. The Jacuzzi was a real treat after long days out and its great that there were plenty of kitchen utensils, pots and plates - no fuss at all. The lodges felt private, so we didnt hear anything from neighbours, which was lovely. Id prefer a firmer mattress, but it suited most of us just fine. Wouldve been nice to have a washing machine, but we found a laundromat nearby. Overall, a perfect, relaxing week!"
Harper - Apr 2024
"Everything about our stay was just spot on! The hosts went above and beyond, making us feel so welcome. The location is absolutely stunning and peaceful. Were already planning to come back next year for sure!"
Hannah - Apr 2024
"Looking forward to returning soon"
Margaret - Apr 2024
"This place was fantastic for a getaway with our pup. The lodge was really spacious and the private hot tub was a total treat. The walk into Hornsea was a lovely stroll along the cliffs. Well definitely come back!"
Olivia - Feb 2024
"We had an amazing stay at this cosy cottage. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. Loved the walks right outside - perfect for the dogs! The host was super friendly and quick to reply, which made everything easy. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was such a highlight. Well definitely return!"
Ellie - Nov 2023
"Perfect getaway! The lodge was stunning and super peaceful too."
Jessie - Aug 2023
"We stayed at The Lodge recently and overall, it was pretty good. The place was spotless and quite comfy, which we appreciated. The sofas looked a bit scratched up, but since we had our pets with us, it didnt bother us much - we brought throws to keep everything protected just in case. The hot tub was spotless and ready when we arrived, which was a lovely bonus. We did think the pet cabins could do with enclosed porches; the weather was nice, but without a way to keep the dogs in, it wasnt ideal. Still, a decent stay overall!"
Charlie - Jul 2023
"A lovely peaceful site. High quality accommodation with great relaxing atmosphere. Nice cliff top walk and lakeside views. Staff friendly and helpful. Easy to find and hot tub is just fantastic! Comfy beds and well stocked kitchen."
Jennifer - Aug 2022
"Absolutely loved my stay, the staff were super helpful whenever we needed anything. The location is just beautiful. Will definitely be booking to come back again."
Kirstie - Jul 2022
"Fantastic time had by all. Luxury all the way."
David - Jul 2022
"Very peacefull site and close to Hornsea town and the beach, shame there a new caravan site going on the field next to it, but still plenty of open space"
Stephen - Jul 2022
"Outstanding location & lodges"
George - Jul 2022
"Beautiful lodge and surrounding areas, staff lovely and helpful"
Laura - Jul 2022
"Floor and some furniture a little tired however did not detract from luxury experience hot tub private surroundings tranquil easy to forget the road lovely cliff top walk to Hornsea reception check in and check out easy staff at reception friendly would highly recommend"
