The Bay Filey Reviews

"Could definitely use a bit more vacuuming in the lounge."
Emma Harper - Mar 2025
"Absolutely loved it, honestly."
Jamie Foster - Mar 2025
"Pretty decent, no fuss"
Rachel Morris - Feb 2025
"We had a lovely break, plenty to do and the beach was just perfect for relaxing."
Emma Carter - Feb 2025
"Our The Bay Filey review: Really easy to find and get around, which made the whole visit stress-free. The place was spotless and well-maintained too. Definitely coming back!"
Emma - Feb 2025
"We had a really relaxing off-season getaway and found the price to be quite reasonable. The apartment was cosy but had everything we needed, which was perfect. The area was peaceful, well-kept and easy to access the beach from. The pool was a nice touch, even if a bit worn, it was clean and warm. The Beauty Room was a lovely treat and Vanessa was so professional and calming - definitely recommend booking with her!"
Emily Carter - Feb 2025
"We stayed in a lovely place, really nice overall. Just a few things could be better-theres only one chair for the dining table, which is a bit tight for eight of us. The toaster is small, just two slices, so it took ages to get breakfast ready. The slow cooker was a nice bonus for making curry though!"
Emma Carter - Jan 2025
"Great spot, lovely and tidy place with all the essentials-really enjoyed our stay!"
Emma - Jan 2025
"Lovely stay, perfect base for exploring nearby towns."
Emma Carter - Jan 2025
"We had a fantastic time at this family-friendly spot! The housekeeper, Gail, kept everything so clean and welcoming. The beach hut is just right for families and loving that its pet friendly was a big bonus. Easy walk to the beach and lighting the fire in the evening was great fun!"
Emily Carter - Jan 2025
"The building is quite spacious, which is a plus. But we found only one radiator heating the kitchen, dining and lounge area, so it was a bit chilly. Also, the place wasnt very clean-cobwebs and crumbs everywhere. The settees are pretty worn out too."
Emma Carter - Jan 2025
"Great spot, perfect for exploring the nearby resorts, really enjoyed it!"
Emma - Dec 2024
"We had a wonderful stay at the beach house! It was so cosy and well-stocked, with lovely extras like the ensuite and log burner. Definitely a good place, especially in December. We really enjoyed it!"
Emily - Dec 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay here"
Emily - Dec 2024
"The place felt pretty run down, honestly. The dishwasher was mouldy and the chairs and sofa looked really dirty. We also ran out of plates, cups and cutlery for four of us. The bathroom was a bit worn out, with a hole in the bath and cold water. Not great really."
Emma Carter - Dec 2024
"The cottage was charming, but honestly, its not ideal for five adults. We had just two bedrooms-one huge, the other with a single and bunk beds. Not the best setup for a group of five. Still, nice place!"
Emma - Dec 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, the cottage was just spot on!"
Oliver - Nov 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay! The apartment was spotless and had all the essentials. The king-sized bed was super comfy and the shower was top-notch. Sure, there were a few scuff marks on the walls and a missing cupboard door, but honestly, it didnt affect our experience. It felt warm and inviting, like home."
Emma - Nov 2024
"Cozy and warm, loved the log burner feature!"
Emma Carter - Nov 2024
"Really impressed with how spotless and well-equipped the lodge was. Definitely recommend!"
Emma Carter - Nov 2024
"We stayed at a lovely lodge right by the lake and it had pretty much everything we needed for a good break. The second bedroom was a bit snug, but the single beds were decent. A couple of small things like no grill pan or tongues and the remote controls were a bit temperamental. Still, wed definitely come back!"
Emma - Nov 2024
"We stayed there recently and found some of the fittings quite disappointing-chairs, tables, the dishwasher, even a radiator in the kids' room were broken. Luckily, most got sorted out without hassle, but its not perfect. Also, for four people, the space felt a bit cramped, especially with just one sofa and chair to lounge on. Not really ideal for relaxing!"
Emma - Nov 2024
"We loved the apartment - spacious, well thought out and beautifully equipped. The garden access was a lovely bonus and the king size bed was super comfy!"
Rachel - Oct 2024
"The chalet was pretty disappointing - dirty, sparse crockery and the mattress was desperately in need of a topper."
Emma Roberts - Oct 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage had plenty of space and storage, which was fab. It could do with a bit of a refresh, especially the sofa, but it was spotless and comfy beds made up for it. Perfect for what we needed!"
Emma - Oct 2024
"Overall, we had a lovely stay. The cottage was spotless and decorated really nicely, with everything we needed, including a huge fridge freezer (though it could do with a de-icing). We did think a handheld shower alongside the waterfall would be a good addition, but its just a preference really. Would stay again!"
Sam - Sep 2024
"The lodge was really cosy overall, but the mattress on the double bed definitely needs swapping out."
Emma Clarke - Sep 2024
"Great place, will definitely stay again!"
Emily Carter - Aug 2024
"While the lodge offers handy amenities like a washing machine, dishwasher and two bathrooms, the photos were quite misleading. The place showed some signs of wear and we even found pencilled writing on a wall in one bedroom that hadnt been cleaned off. Its a bit disappointing, honestly."
Emma - Aug 2024
