Lochness Lodge is a stylish Bed and Breakfast nestled in the heart of the Scottish Highlands near Inverness. With panoramic views over the infamous Loch Ness, this boutique property offers an intimate and luxurious retreat from the world.

There is an onsite Spa, offering a range of treatments and facilities. Resident guests have exclusive access to the Spa, which combines a Scandinavian Sauna, a hot tub, as well as the treatment room. Why not book yourself in for a massage before relaxing in the hot tub.

If like me you think breakfast is the most important meal of the day, then you are going to be spoilt at Loch Ness Lodge. Using the best quality locally sourced ingredients, there is a wide range of cooked or continental breakfast options on offer. Enjoy your smoked salmon and eggs overlooking the Loch itself.

Being a Bed and Breakfast there are no dinner options offered at the Lodge. However, the 2AA rosette restaurant at Loch Ness Country House is a mere taxi ride away and offers a fine dining experience. Or if you prefer, a short stroll to the award-winning Cobbs Restaurant at the Loch Ness Clansman Hotel means a delicious lunch or dinner menu is not far away.

Inverness has a large offering of other lunch or dinner options, and the Lodge is happy to help you book something.

Room Types at Lochness Lodge and Spa

There are only 9 rooms available at Loch Ness Lodge, adding to the exclusive feel of the place. Each room sleeps a maximum of 2 people, although it may be possible to accommodate one child in certain rooms. From the Superior Rooms to the Premium Rooms, you are going to be greeted with large beds, Egyptian cotton bed sheets, with a lot of the rooms offering breathtaking views over Loch Ness.

If it’s a special occasion, why not book yourself into one of the two Premium Room Plus rooms, and enjoy a four poster bed and a roll-top bath.

If you do not want to stay in the Lodge itself or require a bit more room, then there are luxury self-catering cottages also available on site. Each with its own private garden and panoramic views across Loch Ness, some cottages also offer a private sauna and Jacuzzi. These could be the perfect base to explore the Highlands surround Loch Ness.

Exploring Loch Ness

If you wish to explore further afield, then why not take part in a Full-Day Loch Ness, Whiskey, and Outlander Tour. Starting in Inverness, you can journey to Loch Ness and join a cruise to the ruins of the 13th century Urquhart Castle, before exploring Beauty Priory, which was used in the filming of Outlander.

Take in a Whiskey Tour

You can also join an optional tour at the Highland whisky distillery, learning all about whisky production and perhaps even sample some.

Another way to see the spectacular views on offer in the area would be to book a trip on the Hogwarts Express and the Scenic Highlands Day Tour from Inverness. The steam train is the perfect way to see the Highland scenery as it travels all the way around Loch Ness and along the West Coast. Made famous by the Harry Potter films, this has been voted one of the world’s most scenic railways and is a must-do whilst you are in the area.

Otherwise, head into Inverness itself and spend the day discovering all the City has to offer. Explore the Victorian Market or Eastgate Shopping Centre for a bit of retail therapy. Wonder through the streets and marvel at Inverness Castle and St Andrew’s Cathedral. Before heading back to the retreat of Loch Ness Lodge and Spa.
