Our accommodation had been changed on our arrival to a newer, slightly larger Lodge. We understood this to be because of works going on around where we were going to be. Our 'new' lodge was extremely comfortable and we enjoyed being there.

We love Northumberland it was a good quiet site and good base to get to places as you were next to the A1.
Perfect location for sightseeing . Lovey quiet sight. Helpful staff. All good.
Enjoyed holiday however this park is currently under construction some area's like a building site with tractors jobs etc travelling around the park. This was not mentioned on either description or booking confirmation and guests should be aware!
lovely site woodland surroundings, quiet and peaceful but close enough to main towns , Alnwick and Morpeth. shame weather was so bad though site being developed and extended.
What an absolute delight this place is! We arrived late as staff had kindly warmed the caravan up for us and waiting with the door open. The kids absolutely loved it, cracking location and park facilities superb! Only downside there was no leaflets about local things to do in the caravan, but other than that absolutely superb! I’ve recommended to everyone I know and we will be back! Thank you
Lovely caravan; very helpful staff; nice pirate ship & zip wire. Peaceful site; great location to nearby attractions
Stayed with my family. Was running late, the lady on the phone was friendly and receptive, she put the heating on and was there when called. Very helpful staff, neat and tidy.

Fun Days Out near Bockenfield Country Park

Cragside House and Gardens (National Trust) are a popular Northumberland attraction with a beautiful stately home and gorgeous grounds to explore. The rhododendron labyrinth is a unique and fun addition to the grounds and there is also an adventure playground where children can let of steam. It is the stunning scenery that attracts most of the visitors though with many bringing a picnic for a relaxing family day out. The house itself hosts exhibits which change regularly. World of the Water Wizard is currently on display.
Alnwick Castle and Gardens today are perhaps best known for their roles as Hogwarts in Harry Potter movies but have for many years been a family favourite attraction in Northumberland. The beautiful medieval castle is open to the public and during school holidays and at Christmas and Halloween a range of activities can be enjoyed including Santa's Workshop, a Pumpkin Parade, Spell Making Lessons and Owl and Bird of Prey Flying.
Go Ape Northumberland - about 18 Miles
Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.
