Heron Lakes Lodges

This stunning lakeside setting is a wonderful retreat for both families and couples seeking some peace and quiet. If you’d like to sit in your own private hot tub, looking across beautiful lakes, and you enjoy boating and fishing, you’ll adore this 75 acre idyll in the heart of East Yorkshire. Heron Lakes is a short distance away from the town of Beverley and close to Hull where a spectacular park hosts open air concerts and the annual Hull Show.

Heron Lakes boasts year round fishing and rowing boat hire. There are plenty of scenic walks around the lakes and East Yorkshire has numerous sandy beaches and clifftop walks too. If you don’t mind a short drive, you’ll find plenty of places to eat and drink – from pizzerias and fish restaurants to award winning restaurants that serve delicious locally sourced food and have the added benefit of stunning sea views.

There are a range of lodges at Heron Lakes – all luxuriously equipped with a modern design and all with their own private hot tub and decking area. We love the Contemporary Lodge – it sleeps up to four people and has a large open plan living space with panoramic windows that open out to beautiful views of the lake. French doors lead to the decking area and the lodge has a master double bedroom with ensuite shower, a twin bedroom and separate bathroom.

There’s a good choice of things to see and do in East Yorkshire; the views from the steam train between Whitby and Pickering across the moors are spectacular – they don’t call them the ‘Heartbeat’ moors for nothing! Beverley has a great golf club, one of the oldest in the county, and if you enjoy fishing, cycling or just a lovely walk, Risby Park has well stocked ponds, beautiful scenery and a nice café for lunch and refreshments.
