We took the dog for walks around the area, which he loved. The lodge had everything we needed: a hot tub, two double-headed showers and a nice bath. Although we didnt bring children, we noticed high chairs were available if needed. The kitchen was well equipped - dishwasher, easy-to-use oven and microwave - and there were thoughtful extras like sponges and washing up liquid in a cute little gift box, plus a handy guide to local attractions and facilities. The TV had Netflix, BBC iPlayer and standard channels, all straightforward to navigate. The place was spotless, towels were provided, but we brought our own just in case. Were already planning to come back soon - cant wait!"

"We stayed at Delamere Lake Holiday Park with the whole family, including our little dog, from 9th to 13th March 2020. The cabins were stunning-bright, spacious and spotless. The beds were super comfy, so we had no trouble relaxing. The hot tub was already warm when we arrived, which was just perfect. Plus, parking for two cars was a big plus. Honestly, we had a fantastic time and cant wait to return!"

"Our Delamere Lake Sailing and Holiday Park review: We had a really lovely time staying in the lakeside lodge. The setting was just stunning, right on the water and the weather was perfect for jumping off our private jetty and taking a swim. Its a shame that the lodges seem to be privately owned and rented out, because it means the experience can vary quite a bit. It would be so much better if each lodge had a proper name or was marketed more clearly, so you know exactly what youre getting - for example, the lodge in the photos has a glass surround on a two-level deck, a BBQ and a sun bed. Ours was nearby, still lakeside, but with a wooden slatted surround and no BBQ or sun bed, which was a bit disappointing. The details are quite vague about whats included, though we were pleased to find a washing machine, which wasnt mentioned. Some lodges even have rowing boats, which sounds fun. A few arent directly lakeside, which Id find a bit annoying since youd only see other lake-side lodges. Overall, a lovely spot for a break, with plenty of scenic walks and cosy pubs nearby - wed definitely go back!"

Only real downside was the amount of long black hairs we found on the bathroom floor, which wasnt ours. Also, the lodge felt a bit on the small side - more like an updated caravan than a spacious lodge, especially compared to some places weve stayed for less. Still, its a quiet, chilled spot wed return to for sure!"

"We really enjoyed the space in the lounge and dining area-so comfy! The sofas and TV made relaxing easy. The bedrooms are generously sized with nice ensuites, which was a bonus. The lodge was spotless and well-kept. There were just a few small things missing, like oven gloves, tea towels and a bit more kitchenware such as tongs. Also, some extra full-length mirrors in the bedrooms would be handy. Overall, a modern, clean place wed happily stay in again."

"We had an amazing weekend at this place! The location was perfect for what we needed and the garden was great for the dogs. They especially loved the underfloor heating-it kept them super cosy. "We had a lovely stay at Delamere Lake recently. The location was spot on, just about a 20-minute drive from Darsbury, which was perfect for our trip to the Creamfields Festival. The whole site is really well looked after and the facilities were better than we expected - everything we needed was there. The lodges were super comfortable and had all the gear we could want, making for a really peaceful break. We did have a bit of trouble with the entrance barriers, which are managed by a third-party security firm. The security guy answering the bell often didnt respond quickly, which was a bit annoying. Not really the parks fault, but maybe they should think about switching to a more reliable security company. That said, the staff at the reception and during checkout were brilliant - really friendly and helpful. Overall, apart from that small hiccup, it was a fantastic trip and wed definitely recommend Delamere Lake if you want a relaxing getaway with great amenities!"

"We recently stayed in lodge 1 at Delamere Point and honestly, the location is spot on - right by the lake with a private beach, which the kids loved! The lodge itself was spotless and modern, with plenty of kitchen utensils, making cooking easy. We appreciated the little touches like the washing machine and hoover. The staff were really helpful; when the oven broke, they replaced it within a few hours - very impressed. Our only tiny gripes were the bedroom blinds letting in quite a bit of light, so the kids woke early and the outdoor furniture was a bit neglected, with some spider webs and spiders around. Nothing major, but it couldve been cleaner outside. Overall, a lovely stay and wed definitely come back!"

"We went away in a big family group which made the cost very reasonable. I was worried it might feel small for 8 of us but it didn’t. The facilities were great and the hot tub an added extra. We would have liked more dishwasher tablets and slightly comfier beds but everything else was perfect. The lake and park is very pretty and a tranquil retreat. We went into Chester as it’s quite close by (£25 in a taxi.). This was great as we were able to come home to the lodge as a base."
