Heathside Lodges Reviews

"So happy with these lodges. They were spacious, clean and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. The hot tub was lovely. The lodges were secluded due to the hedges that have been grown up. We will definitely be back."

"Very well equiped lodges with all mod. cons.. The lodges are kept very clean by the staff. All the surrounding lawns and woods within the site are extremely wellmaintained by the staff."

"Could not fault the accommodation. Stayed Monday to Friday, and very lucky with the weather. The hot tub was a added bonus."

"Lovely clean lodge, warm and comfortable. Lots of space."

"Our Heathside Lodges review: We stayed in Lodge 11, a Deben Premier. which was large and spacious. First impressions were excellent. Further inspection revealed many signs of wear and tear with grubby curtains, an oven that was dirty to the point of being unusable, dirty dishwasher and microwave interiors. The mattress on the main king size bed could also do with being replaced. Having said that the bed linens and towels were spotless. Overall the Lodge was OK but could really do with the internal fixtures and fitting being upgraded."

"Great stay in a good location, would definitely stay again but desperately needs new sofa to replace the one with broken seat."

"The lodge could do with a few upgrades (new sofa / cushions etc) and a few minor things could do with some TLC (remote control / lights in the hottub not working) but these things are far outweighted by the pros."

"Very happy with Blyth Lodge. Perfect for what we needed, with the Hot Tub to relax in and cooking facilities so that we can cook the fresh fish we got from the market towns."

"Just returned from family holiday, where we had 3 cabins on the site. My sister stayed in this cabin and loved it."

"Lovely lodge well kept grounds well stocked shop and friendly and helpful staff"

"The lodge was one of the best we've ever stayed in. It was a real home from home with everything we needed for our stay. Will recommend to anybody."

"Gorgeous fluffy towels and pillows/bedding, comfy beds, very clean! Kitchen has everything we needed. Shower/bath plenty of hot water, didnt run out. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends/family."

"Great lodge!"

"Excellent accommodation - very comfortable and clean. Well equipped and the extra fridge was a boon. Hot tub was great to relax in late in the evening once it was a bit cooler outside.Beds very comfy, which is unusual for me. We all slept like logs with no neck or back complaints."

"I would just like to say that the 3 day break that we had at the holiday lodge was a great time for the both of us we were very happy and satisfied with everything no complaints and no negative comments we are booking another lodge with you before Christmas"

"I had a lovely few days here with my family, I stayed in lodge number 8, there were a few ants in the main bathroom in day 1 but they soon went. I came with my 3 children of various ages (18, 9, 6) my 6 year old is autistic and I found there was a lot of space for him to run around quite safely, he loved the hot tub as well. The shop onsite is very reasonably priced as well and has your essentials. I would definitely return."

"A holiday we will remember for a very long time - and hope to be back for more of the same. Tempting to think about moving to the area."

"Excellent in all respects. Love our twice year week long breaks .Breakfast on the verander listening to the birds is a oarticukar highlight.Strolling over to the bathroom reserve fabulous.A trio across the field fir a quick fame of table tennis not to be missed.A visit to the site shop for a chat and provisions.Cannot beat it!!"

"We loved staying at Heathside Lodges. The lodge was large and well equipped. Its a beautiful quiet site, with plenty of space, well maintained grounds, and beautiful country walks. Our bed was very comfortable, and the best part of the lodge was an amazing power shower! The only rub was the hot tub, which only had one jet setting. Despite that it would not put us off visiting again! Thank you."

"I stayed at Heathside Lodges in Wenhaston, Halesworth with my wife, Son and Daughter in law and granddaughter for four nights. Karen, her husband and staff were vey friendly and we were so happy with our lodge. It was perfect for a family of five and the hot tub was an excellent way to relax. There was enough to keep as occupied and we are already looking to book next year. Thank you"

"Perfect break. Spacious and comfortable lodge with all that you need. Beautiful surroundings and so peaceful. Lots of space for kids to run around. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back. Only comment is early check out if that could be pushed back an hour"

"Such a lovely 4 nights spent here with my husband and two sons (7,4). The lodge was perfect for what we needed. It was close by to lots of lovely towns to explore. The hot tub was really enjoyed by us all. The hosts were very good. I had a bad back and they were quick to supply a mattress topper that provided extra comfort. The grounds of the lodges are an added bonus. It has a shop on site, a climbing frame, football goals & table tennis. All of this is hidden behind nature so it doesnt spoil the lovely views of the land and little marshland. We will be returning."

"very nice and confortaable also very roomy"

"Our accommodation was spotlessly clean and surprisingly very spacious, far bigger than the photos suggest. It was equipped with everything you could need a d the towels and bedding were good quality too.The hot-tub was a real treat but it was also lovely to sit on the decking to have a morning cuppa and enjoy the sunshine a peace and quiet first thing."

"We really enjoyed our stay! The place was spotless and way bigger than the pictures showed, which was a nice surprise. Everything we needed was there and the quality of the towels and bedding was great. The hot tub was a real highlight, but we also loved sitting on the decking in the morning, soaking up the sun in peace and quiet. Brilliant!"

"Clean and airy. Nice location with lovely views. Short woodland walk also on the site. Shop on site was particularly handy. Friendly staff. Much appreciated privacy with the high laurel hedges especially when using the hot tub. The hot tub was maintained every day and, as someone with slight mobility issues, it was perfect for me being slightly raised from the decking instead of a deck level one. The beds were so comfortable with beautiful Egyptian cotton bed linen and great pillows. Looking forward to going back again"

"We found the place lovely and bright, with such a peaceful vibe. The location was spot on, offering gorgeous views and a lovely walk through the woods right on the site. The shop was super handy and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. We especially appreciated the privacy from the high laurel hedges, perfect for relaxing in the hot tub. It was well maintained daily and being slightly raised made it easier for us. The beds were dreamy, with crisp Egyptian cotton and comfy pillows. Cant wait to return!"

"We stayed here for 4 days and we loved it, was very quite and peaceful which is what we wanted. The staff was very friendly and made you welcome. The on-site shop has all the essentials you need. Not much around for walking distance but we didn't mind that, there was a pub just up the road 10mins walk but it was expensive and not very friendly. You can drive out to several nearby towns or coastal resorts, Aldi, Morrisons, and more are all around 25-min drive. Also lots of places you could eat out at and reasonable prices. The lodge was lovely, everything we needed was there, very spacious and clean, the hot tub was a bonus to relax in at the end of our day. We would definitely come back and would recommend if your looking for a quite relaxing time."

"Really enjoyed the lodge has everything you needed and its nice to be away from everything but still close to place to go Hot tub is great and just outsider back door on deck so not far to go in when finished. Also provide dressing gown and extra towels for when using the hot tub which is great so dont have to use your other towels. The only draw back is the check outs are early at 9am on the day you leave but part from that everything is great and staff are very helpful always there if need to ask any questions this our second time coming we will definitely be going again next year"

"We had a really lovely stay at the lodge. Its perfectly tucked away, giving us that peaceful escape we were after, yet still close enough to explore nearby spots. The hot tub was a real highlight, especially since its just outside the back door-no long walk needed after a day out. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like the dressing gown and extra towels, which made using the hot tub so much easier. The only slight downside was the early check-out at 9am, but honestly, it didnt spoil our trip. The staff were super friendly and always happy to help. This is our second visit and definitely not our last, cant wait to come back next year!"

"I stayed with 2 adults and 3children aged 16 - 2 years.

The lodge was beautiful, clean and fully equipped. Hot tub was always clean and heated perfectly. Plenty of towels and pillows even a board game to pass the time. We had a BBQ too. The shop was conveniently on site and fully stocked.

All the staff were very helpful and polite.
We had a fantastic time and would definitely book to stay here again."

"Very good location for walks.

There was a large field for children to play on."

"Great location with only a 10 minute walk to the local friendly pub (20 on the way back after a few beers) serving amazing food and lovely staff and locals who made you feel very welcome The lodge itself was lovely inside with everything we needed. The exterior was a bit shabby and could do with a lick of paint. The hot tub was disappointing as on arrival we opened it and there appeared to be some sort of red drink spilt round the edge and some hairs in the tub. This had clearly not been cleaned after the last guests. The lid of the tub was also in poor condition with rips and tears and the handle broken. On the whole was a lovely break just a shame about the hot tub."

"This is our 2nd visit to heathside lodges and it did not disappoint. The site is immaculate we have never been to a site which is so well maintained. All the staff onsite are friendly and approachable and nothing is too much trouble, the on-site shop is well stocked and reasonably priced. The lodge itself was spotless it had everything you would need with the added bonus of a hot tub which was clean and private. We will be going again"

"Great location on a rural site ideally situated 10 mins from Southwold and the coast
The site wad very well kept and shrub and tree planting ensured privacy to each plot.
The staff and owners were all courteous and helpful
Overall an excellent place to stay Highly Great location on a rural site ideally situated 10 mins from Southwold and the coast. Very peaceful and quiet"

"excellent site -- so peaceful. friendly reception"

"Got back on Friday had a wonderful week. Loved staying at this spacious well run park, it was quiet and peaceful and only a short drive to get to most places of interest. The lodge was clean and comfortable, we loved the hot tub and would stay again."
