Landal Piperdam (Piperdam Lodges) Reviews

"Needs decent size mirrors in cabin."
Joan - Aug 2025
"Ripped furniture and couch needed replacing."
Michelle - Jul 2025
"Very comfortable lovely stay in need on minor modernisations however this never affected our stay. Very comfortable."
Jason T - May 2025
"Fittings a little dated but suited the wood effect., new kitchen and neutral walls. Carpet perhaps not the best so recommend slippers of some sort. Hot tub and sauna were excellent."
Sara - Apr 2025
"Our Landal Piperdam (Piperdam Lodges) review: Weve stayed here a few times now and keep coming back. The whole process from check-in to check-out is so smooth, which we really appreciate. The lodges are spotless and well-equipped for self-catering, making everything easy. We love that the hot tubs are enclosed - perfect for privacy and letting the dogs roam freely without worries. Plus, the fact that dogs are welcome is a huge bonus. Prices are fair too and the beds are super comfy. The staff are always friendly and helpful!"
Emma - Mar 2025
"Had a lovely weekend here! The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed. Perfect for a chill break with my wife and our dog. Well be back for sure!"
James - Mar 2025
"Great spot, always a good vibe"
Emma-Louise - Jan 2025
"Overall a good lodge. Just needs some TLC. Spa pool needed attention. Kitchen cutlery and facilities too minimal for number of people who could stay in lodge. 4 glasses in total. Same with cutlery. Crisps down side of cushions on the sofa. Not very good cleaning."

"A downgrade to what was meant to be an upgrade from previous years. Disappointed doesnt even cut it."
Stephen - Dec 2024
"We had a lovely stay at this good place! The place feels so private and peaceful, yet the owners are super friendly and always nearby if we needed anything. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day of cycling - totally hit the spot. The only thing to note is that the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but its worth mentioning if youre sensitive to noise. Overall, a great find!"
Rajesh - Dec 2024
"We had an amazing time at Goddards Mead! The cottage was perfect, really well-equipped and super cosy. Well definitely return soon!"
Ben - Nov 2024
"Furniture a little worn and used fixtures and fittings damaged and unusable"
John - Oct 2024
"The park is lovely, with plenty of trees, but it makes the area quite shadowy. The house felt quite plain and minimalistic, almost too bare for our taste. Still, worth a visit!"
David - Oct 2024
"Arrived at reception and they were very helpful, except for the fact that they didn't tell me the gas hob was broken. They promised that it would be replaced that day, which it wasn't, so I didn't have a hob for the first day. There was a thick, black scum around the bottom of the kitchen wall. The grill only had one rail on the side, which didn't make much difference. Because there was no grill pan. The washing machine handle was wobbly so sometimes it wouldn't recognise the door was shut. There were no complementary cleaning products, i.e. dish soap, sponge, shower gel, and only one of the three bathrooms had toilet roll. The door handle on the door leading to the balcony was broken and didn't lock. The tray under the heater in the sauna wasn't emptied and was full of dirty water. There were splash marks on the walls throughout the lodge that could easily be wiped off. We had two babies and their feet were black due to the floor clearly never having been mopped this year. We had to go out and buy cleaning supplies to do it ourselves. In the hot tub, not all the lights worked and only half the jets worked. If you want to use the small arcade games, bring your own change as the reception and bar didn't have any on any of the days.Looking past all that, the lodge looks nice. Good location. The facilities were good: swimming pool, spa, and crazy golf were all good. The hot tubs get checked twice a day, which is good"
William - Aug 2024
"We loved this cosy little cottage! Its nicely tucked away, so it feels private but still near shops and cafes. The hot tub is a real treat and the underfloor heating keeps everything comfy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel right at home. Cant wait to return!"
Sammy - Jun 2024
"We loved the cosy cottage, especially the hot tub and log burner. The hosts were lovely, so peaceful! Definitely coming back for a longer stay soon!"
Holly - May 2024
"Very cosy stay, had everything we needed and more."
Julia - May 2024
"Overall, the apartment was nice, but it really needs some updates. Adding side tables, bathroom shelves, a full-length mirror and a shaving mirror would make a big difference!"
Oliver - Apr 2024
"We had an amazing family holiday, despite some minor letdowns with the lodge and restaurant. Overall, it was truly a fantastic experience for us all!"
Sarah - Mar 2024
"We stayed in the lodge and noticed a weird smell. Tried emptying the bins, but then found the washing machine was full of dirty water that wouldn't drain. Bit of a hassle!"
Sam - Feb 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, especially the hot tub and sauna. Can't wait to come back again soon!"
Tom - Jan 2024
"We stayed in this lovely cabin and honestly, it was quite charming despite feeling a bit old-fashioned. The space was generous and the beds were super comfy. The scenery was stunning and the weather was perfect. Hot tub and sauna were a real highlight!"
Emily - Nov 2023
"We were really disappointed with the state of the roads, a few loads of gravel could have made a huge difference. Inside, there were minor issues like loose toilet seats and broken lights, plus no cooker instructions. One bedroom could use more furniture, but the golf courses onsite were fantastic!"
Mark - Nov 2023
"Very peaceful, highly recommend it!"
George - Jun 2023
"We really enjoyed our visit, the fields were beautiful and walking with the dogs was fantastic! Definitely recommend."
Alexandra - Jun 2023
"Really enjoyed our stay, would definitely come back."
Ellie Morgan - Aug 2020
"The place is stunning, but a bit outdated. Still, the extra night definitely made it worth it. Its a beautiful lodge overall, just needs a touch of updating."
Alex Turner - Aug 2020
"The lodge was bright and spotless, really well-kept. We enjoyed sitting outside, though it couldve done with a quick tidy-up before use."
Clara - Jul 2020
"Looking forward to checking out whats new post lockdown, definitely!"
Martin - Jul 2020
"Really enjoyed our weekend stay at the lodge, fantastic experience!"
Linda - Mar 2020
"Yes had one or two issues"
Colin - Jul 2022

Smoo Cave - IV27 4QB

Smoo Cave is a popular attraction which can be enjoyed all year round but visitors should wrap up warm during the winter months.  This spectacular limestone sea-cave in Sutherland is the largest in Britain and is simply spectacular. The cave was formed by a burn that runs down into the rear chamber, as well as erosion caused by the sea. Guests can take the path from the car park which runs right through the cave. Boat trips are available in the summer months and are an excellent way to fully appreciate the cave from all angles.
