We love the Oak Premier Lodge 6 which sleeps up to six people. It has been fully interior designed and represents the height of luxury with magnificent views over the Loch Lomond National Park. The lodge has a verandah and outdoor barbecue area with its own private hot tub, a spacious living area and a flat screen TV in all three bedrooms.

Argyllshire and Islands is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where majestic landscapes, spectacular coastal scenery and lochside villages abound. Visitors to the area will love the superb walks and cycle paths. You could relive 500 years of turbulent Viking history at Vikingar in Largs – or head to Fins Seafood Restaurant in Fairlie for some delicious oysters, scallops and home-smoked salmon!

Hunters Quay Reviews

"Looking forward to visiting again soon!"
Mark - Apr 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay, the caravan was fantastic, highly recommend!"
Emma Carter - Nov 2024
"Beautiful holiday park, scenery was lovely and very quiet.Travelling with two under 5s though I felt their age group was a bit under represented, apart from the nighttime entertainment and swimming there was not much for them to do on a dreary October week. As one fell under the minimum age for organised activities, did not try to pre-book until the wednesday morning, epic fail as it was all fully booked. To be fair to Hunters Quay, there was a power cut on our second day, the one dry day we had to fully explore on our stay. We went off on a hunt for the playpark to find three swings and nothing else, if I've missed something would love for someone to point it out. The jumping pillows and crazy golf were off due to power cut. The pirate ship was more aimed at older kids say 6 and above. We ended up in Dunoon at the soft play within council facilities down there, would highly recommend for younger kids and not expensive at all compared to some."

"We had a lovely weekend at Juniper Lodge with the kids. They really enjoyed the park and splashin around in the pool. Not all facilities were open because of Covid, but the weather was great for outdoor fun. The lodge itself was spotless and looked just like the photos. Definitely recommend!"
Laura - Oct 2024
"Our Hunters Quay review: We had a fantastic stay at this charming place! The location is truly private and peaceful, with stunning surroundings. The owners are super friendly and always happy to help if needed, but they respect your privacy completely. The hot tub was such a treat after a long day of cycling - absolutely loved it! A small thing to note, the cottage is directly under the flight path at Stansted, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. Luckily, we got used to it quickly and it didnt ruin our holiday at all. Definitely recommend!"
Rajiv - Sep 2024
"The lodge and the site in general was clean and tidy. The shop on site was useful. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was everything we needed in the lodge and there was a large Morrisons in Dunoon, just 5 minutes drive away."
Claire - Aug 2024
"Really nice accommodation and very modern with everything needed. Good size rooms and everything required for the kitchen."
Gordon - Aug 2024
"The place is pretty modern and spacious, with all the kitchen stuff you could possibly need. Nice stay!"
Alex - Aug 2024
"The caravan was tidy but didnt smell fresh at all. I get its dog-friendly, but stains and that lingering dog smell really put us off. Honestly, we expected it to be cleaner-just a bit disappointing overall."
James - Aug 2024
"The Lodge is a great size, the sofa was sagging and whole place could do with refreshing but still clean enough - I loved the secure verandah as it allowed the dog to enjoy sitting out. The views were stunning and hot tub was clean and checked daily and perfect for relaxing in of sn evening."
Karla - Aug 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay here, its a great spot for both kids and adults to relax. The outdoor activities like forest walks and swimming kept everyone busy and you occasionally spot a deer wandering around-its quite charming! The bar, arcade, crazy golf and soft play area on the pirate ship were all hits with the kids. The staff are super friendly and helpful, which makes all the difference. Only downside was the beds-ours sank in the middle, not ideal if youve got a sore back. Still, overall, a lovely place to stay!"
Emily - Jul 2024
"It was clean and comfortable and it was good that the heating was on a timer happy nothing to complain about."
Jillian - Jun 2024
"The caravan was honestly the best we've seen in ages."
Jessica - Jun 2024
"Pretty sure we got upgraded as the caravan was exceptional."

Linda - Apr 2024
"Really pleased with this caravan, its way better than we thought!"
Tom - Mar 2024
"Really pleased with the caravan overall. Its well kitted out and spotless. The seating was a bit firm, though."
Martin - Jan 2024
"Really enjoyed the lodge, it was fantastic overall. Only downside was the squeaky floorboards, sadly."
George - Dec 2023
"We loved the peaceful setting and the fully enclosed garden-perfect for our dog to roam freely!"
Amelia - Dec 2023
"The lodge was stunning, with breathtaking views and a really nice hot tub. Everything was spotless and well looked after. Well definitely come again!"
Sam - Nov 2023
"We had a fantastic time! Emma, who handles the axe throwing and archery, is genuinely lovely-so friendly and welcoming. She really puts you at ease, making the whole experience top-notch. Highly recommend!"
Rachel - Nov 2023
"We had a pretty good stay overall. The kids loved it and are already asking to come back, so thats a win! The lodge was comfy, though we did notice a few cobwebs and a strange smell that we couldnt quite identify-thought it might be wet dog at first, but it wasnt too bad once you get used to it. The double bed was a bit snug with the kids wanting to sleep with us, but its only temporary. All in all, a decent trip!"
Jamie - Nov 2023
"We've stayed here quite a few times now and honestly, this lodge is the best we've experienced. Definitely coming back!"
Lisa - Jul 2020
"Great overall experience"
Sarah - Mar 2020
"Loved every bit here"
Clara Jennings - Mar 2020
"We recently spent four nights at this lovely holiday village with our seven-year-old daughter in a lodge. Honestly, we werent expecting much, but everything exceeded our expectations - the lodge itself, the facilities, staff, food and especially the kids entertainment. Our daughter loved the swimming pool, soft play area, arcades, mini disco and the evening shows. Its just a couple of minutes drive from the ferry port and close to some fantastic forest walks in Argyll. We had a really great time and would definitely recommend it!"
Daniel - Feb 2020
"We decided to head down from Yorkshire to Hunter's Quay because it seemed like a great spot for a family break, especially with a hot tub included. Honestly, we were surprised at how spotless and well-kept everything was, considering how budget-friendly it was. The setting is absolutely beautiful and theres plenty to do indoors-thank goodness, as the weather was pretty rubbish most of the time! The food at the bar and grill was really tasty and the kids loved the activities, which were very reasonably priced. Our boys, aged 5 and 7, had a blast in the pool and soft play area and they especially enjoyed the sessions with Joe-pirate adventures, science stuff, superheroes, you name it! Our lodge suited us perfectly and we even managed a few nights of star gazing from the hot tub. It was a lovely trip overall!"
Lucy - Feb 2020
"We really enjoyed the caravan - it was spotless and well-stocked. Some of the seats werent super comfy, though."
David - Feb 2020
"Really enjoyed it, perfect for a family day out."
Tommy - Nov 2019
"Great place for families, would defo go back.. My 2 kids loved it especially the swimming pool."
Yvonne - Aug 2022
"We have been coming to Hunters Quay now for the past 6 years and will be booking again for July 2023! We always have a fantastic time there. Obviously because we have been coming for so long it would be lovely to see some further activities added to the Go Active but honestly the staff are so helpful, the Go Active instructors are just lovely our grandchildren did sand art, wall climbing and archery and the girls were just fantastic. We had booked the premier caravan this year and it was stunning. Look forward to seeing you all again next year!"
Fiona - Aug 2022
"We had a lovely weekend in Hunter’s Quay in Dunoon. Stunning setting and excellent facilities. Our lodge was comfortable and well equipped. Our dog Gus had a lovely welcome when he received a pet welcome pack."
Julie - Jul 2022
"Fantastic park and area, will definitely be going back"
Steven - Jul 2022
"5 stars ?"
Stephen - Jul 2022
"We had such a lovely time at Hunters Quay Holiday Village. Would 100% recommend. Perfect for a short break with the family. There’s so much to do from swimming, outdoor play area, soft play, gym, evening entertainment. It brought us together. Everything there was reasonable priced and the restaurant put out good tasting food. The only downfall was the go active, there wasn’t much activities my children could do together due to their age groups ."
Kimberly - Jul 2022
"Fantastic site and facilities. Ashleigh and Nicole from Go Active we’re fantastic with the kids."
Dawn - Jul 2022
"Already booked to go back"
james - Jul 2022
"Had a great trip. Done the archery with Ewan before we left. He done really well and deserves a mention"
Alan - Jul 2022
"Everything was great my kids loved it, apart from i have allergies to animals. They did clearly state they are a pet friendly resort so i have no issue its just i couldn't enjoy it as much due to my weazing, sneazing and itching. That is the only reason i would not go back however its a fantastic place and highly recommend."
