Am Bothan Reviews

Shannon - Jul 2025
Amazing place with amazing views loved the hottub
Jamie - Jul 2025
We really enjoyed our stay the place is just as advertised and had a good level of privacy which was important to us. Plenty wood supplied for the indoor log burner and the hot tub we had the hot tub running every day.Our only issue was the place was really warm inside and no matter how many heating sources we turned off it would feel too warm in the morning. The local wildlife was lovely to be around too, apart from maybe the wasps but even they were pretty chill
Lynn - Jul 2025
Fabulous location and views, wildlife on the doorstep. Owners friendly and responsive to questions. Slight downside, no storage space and a very high step up to the front door entrance would benefit from a an additional step. Clean , comfortable and quiet .
John - Jun 2025
Lovely compact cabin in a beautiful setting.
Andrew - Jun 2025
Lovely property, nice location
Scott - May 2025
Nice location and lovely view from the decking. The owner was friendly and dealt with a minor issue straight away. The only very small negative would be a lack of storage for clothing and could do with a net for the hottub to remove flies and debris, but this didn't detract from our enjoyment of the holiday. Would definitely book this place again.
Christopher - Feb 2025
A really lovely cabin with great views. Lots of wildlife around, we saw red deer, woodpeckers and the bird feeders outside the bedroom are lovely for watching all the visitors in the morning. Wood fired hot tub is brilliant and the wood burning stove in the cabin makes it really cost very quickly. The kitchen is really well equipped and the shower was very good.
Charlie - Aug 2024
Thank you for an amazing stay at the cabin. We honestly didn't want to leave! Our little boy had a great time running around and playing in the hot tub you may have heard!
Sophie - Aug 2024
A lovely little cabin with everything we needed, the location was amazing and the little touches like the welcome basket and the hot tub being on when we arrived really made it. We had an amazing holiday, thank you!
Laura - Jul 2024
Excellent stay, we loved it. Lovely views.
Amanda - Jul 2024
Absolutely lovely cabin. Everything we wanted, and more. Walking distance to great pub, and amazing views.
Alison - May 2024
We had a brilliant week at Am Bothan, the cabin was perfect, amazing views, kind hosts and a wonderful area of Scotland to explore, wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you for a great holiday, we would love to come back.
David - Dec 2023
Fantastic property and super cozy. We had a fantastic Christmas stay, great peaceful stay and Alisdair was a great host, left us well alone but was very helpful when needed. The hot tub was wonderful as long as you planned ahead and the stove kept us toasty in the worst of the weather. Yes the cabin is bijou but the most has been made of the space available. Wouldnt hesitate to visit again, the surrounding area has great walks and the scenery is breathtaking.
Bronagh - Nov 2023
Beautiful property in an incredible area of Scotland. Private, cosy and tranquil with lots to do and see nearby. We would absolutely recommend this property and can't wait to return.
Garry - Oct 2023
Excellent Holiday Cottage in a beautiful setting
Mohammed - Aug 2023
It was a lovely stay ! Friendly host , amazing and clean place, good privacy, cant wait to get back in again!
Steven - Aug 2023
We had a lovely stay at Am Bothan. The setting is fantastic, and we made good use of the hot tub despite the inclement weather. The property itself is very modern and comfortable, and was spotlessly clean. Alasdair was a very welcoming and friendly host too. The only negative aspect would be a lack of wardrobe space, but this didn't detract from our enjoyment of our stay.
Simon - Aug 2023
Property is lovely and the cleanliness upon arrival was 1010. The cabin has all the mod cons you desire and is comfy in all aspects. You might want to double check the post code on the app and what 3 words as this did not match the one given to us by the owner whos directions on the app were spot one. The setting is beautiful and the view from the hot tube was awesome
Rebecca - Jul 2023
This is a beautiful place, in an amazing setting. It was clean and had everything you would need for a peaceful holiday, with the option to try lots sporting activities locally. We saw deer and a golden Eagle from the lodge which we were made up with. The only downside was having to heat the hot tub with a log burner, which takes hours and not too toddler friendly. My husband has been struggling with mobility issues and was unable to be up and down the decking, to do so. But aside from this it is such a lovely place to stay with unbelievable views and we thoroughly enjoyed our week. Thank you.
Ina - Jul 2023
