We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It was spotless and had all the essentials for a relaxing break. The decor was tastefuland the bathroom felt like luxury. The hot tub was a hit, staying warm once it was up and running - a thermometer would’ve been handy, though. The welcome hamper was such a lovely touch, especially the bread and scones, which were absolutely delicious. Definitely a place we'd return to!

We had a really lovely week here. The cottage was super comfy and had everything we needed. Plenty of spots to explore nearbyand Janice was so friendly, offering great tips. The eco hot tub took a bit to get used to, but it was worth it. All in all, a great stay - we’d definitely come back!
Emma - Apr 2023
Honestly, this place is perfect if you're into the countryside and farms. We loved how peaceful it wasand it made a great spot for exploring nearby towns and historic sites. The Scottish Antiques & Arts Centre is just a short walk away and has fantastic food - plus, as lodge guests, we got a 10% discount. The cottage's kitchen is really well-equipped, especially the big freezer. We didn’t get around to trying the hot tub, but it’s tucked away in a lovely quiet spot, which looks perfect for relaxing. Definitely recommend!
Emma T. - Mar 2023
Absolutely loved our stay, couldn’t have asked for more!
Emily - Jan 2023
We had a really lovely stay that felt just right. The lodge was absolutely gorgeous, with everything we needed. The welcome basket was a sweet touchand the homemade jam in the fridge was delicious! The spacious bathroom made our spa day extra relaxing - loved every minute. We did try the hot tub on our last night, but it was a bit disappointing - took ages to warm up and the water underneath was chilly. We gave it a stir but decided not to push it. Still, overall, a great trip!
Emma - May 2022
Really enjoyed the modern vibe and friendly staff here.
Emily - May 2022
We had such a lovely stay! The lodge was truly beautifuland the welcome hamper with local goodies was a thoughtful touch. It was our puppy’s first holidayand she had a fantastic time-plenty of walks, playing in the riverand visiting the cows at the Antiques Centre. Evenings in the hot tub and cosy nights by the fire made it perfect. Honestly, what more could you want for a relaxing getaway? We’ll definitely be back!

So much more than a garden centre this place is ideal for a fun family day out in Angus. The garden centre stocks a huge range of plants, outdoor furniture and gardening equipment and also has a café serving tasty home made meals, cakes and snacks. The site has a large outdoor play area for children an ornamental pond and country park to explore. Halloween and Bonfire night's events are coming up soon. The annual Fireworks Display is really spectacular.

Smoo Cave - IV27 4QB
about 33 Miles
Smoo Cave is a popular attraction which can be enjoyed all year round but visitors should wrap up warm during the winter months.  This spectacular limestone sea-cave in Sutherland is the largest in Britain and is simply spectacular. The cave was formed by a burn that runs down into the rear chamber, as well as erosion caused by the sea. Guests can take the path from the car park which runs right through the cave. Boat trips are available in the summer months and are an excellent way to fully appreciate the cave from all angles.
