Where's All?
The Mould Family from Berwick
We were lucky enough to have lots of sunshine so the kids spend most of the time playing out and made friends with some other kids on the site. It felt very safe and friendly. We had chose a lodge but the caravans looked nice as well. Be warned this is a quiet site not for you if you want a clubhouse, disco or kids club.
Miss S & Mr A
Really enjoyed the stay hot tub was amazing, hopefully returning in the summer :)

Bracken Log lodge was like home from home. Very up to date and comfortable. The Hot tub was a fantastic addition to our holiday and we spent much of our time just chilling out at the lodge. We also had a bbq on the outside decking area which is there for visitors to use.

The lodge and hot tub are top quality and very peaceful. The only thing that really let it down was the lack of self catering equipment in the kitchen. No oven gloves (which I thought was dangerous), 3 knifes (4 of us), 4 plates etc but no spare to serve food on. There was plenty of pans and glasses but as it is self catering could do with more equipment. Apart from that absolutely first class.

Lovely accommodation. Well presented and looked after. Very quiet rural location which is exactly what I wanted and needed.
Never saw any staff, but I never needed any so not an issue.
Would highly recommend the Tay Lodge in this park. Like home from home.
If you want peace & quiet & to get away from it all then this is definitely for you.

We wanted a break away and this was just perfect. The woman who showed us how to work the hot tub etc was so nice and so down to earth. We felt instantly at ease and the lodge was clean. We enjoyed it so much we're planning on booking a weeks stay next year. Hot tub was perfect. Although we were told to remember, we did forget dish towels so we struggled a bit however that was totally our fault! We've recommended it to our friends as well, perfect little getaway

Date of stay: 8th September 2017
A fantastic place to stay as I required a base to travel to places such as John O'Groats, Loch Ness and various other Castles and places of interest. A really nice quiet place and the lodge (Kinclaven) is well laid out, comfortable and very homely. I would not hesitate to use again and I would certainly recommend to anyone requiring a quiet park in beautiful surroundings.

Had an absolutely lovely stay at bracken log lodge 1. The cabin was beautiful, everything is a short drive to explore or shop, it's based in a lovely quiet area. The owners Ryan and Haley were on hand if we had any problems, they were both amazing at helping us work out the hot tub and fix any problems or questions we had. I would definitely recommend to anyone to stay here! Would definitely stay again!

The lodge decking is a little tired in places & could do with a makeover but that is only a minor point. Overall we were very pleased & would stay again. Cleanliness score of 8 was for the decking area not the interior.

Date of stay: 13th September 2015
Lovely few days at beech hedge in bracken log lodge. Very clean and very helpful staff rectifying problems quickly.

Slightly closer to the road than expected but the hedge blocked it nicely.

Hot tub clean and we observed the next door tub being cleaned thoroughly following their stay which was good to see.

A slightly over excited smoke alarm that went off with just an expectation of a singe and the couches were on the small side for a lodge for 4 but otherwise a very lovely wee cabin and a lovely time had by our group.
Shelagh, Stirling
Date of stay: 12th September 2015
Clean, comfortable caravan. Very impressed with tray with tea, coffee and biscuits. Also toiletries in bathroom - more like staying in a hotel than a caravan. Well done Sue. Would definitely go again.

visited for a few days during Easter break with my 2 sons quiet/lovely/clean log cabin had everything we needed (no wifi so kids have to enjoy the outside) and the hot tub was fantastic the owners put in chemicals every day to maintain the cleanliness and they were very friendly on arrival and although they left us to enjoy the break we knew they were just seconds away if we needed anything. Definitly need a car for shops e.t.c but there are buses run regularly. Would visit again without hesitation.

Great static, really cosy. The caravan was dated but clean ans comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. TV'S with dvd players were great. Couldnt have asked for better value for money. Decor is dated and only one roll of toilet paper are literally the only negatives i can think to say. I would highly recommend it and we will certainly be going back.

Robert, Penzance
Date of stay: 13th September 2014
We arrived around 7pm and checked everything over an found the single bed had not been made up as requested. A trip down to the reception to let them know and the beddings was brought up within a minute with profuse apologies.
The site is very well kept and we enjoyed our walks around the site, we found the owners working on the driveway and reception area trimming and tidying and removing stray rubbish blown in from the road.
We missed the warning about the crows and rubber around the mirrors and wipers, but another holiday maker advised us to cover them with something, which we did.
We found all the people very friendly, a pleasant surprise as we were not sure about our reception due to the Referendum, but everyone we met was friendly.

Lovely spacious cabin with excellent amenities. Briefly- kitchen is equipped with a good oven/gas hob , large fridge and storage cupboards (perfect for cooking large meals) plus all cutlery/dishes are supplied. Large wall mounted TV with freeview. Really great modern shower room. Full control over the central heating (so we were never cold!) And finally, a very well maintained (and super clean) hottub with a handily located freezer right next to it. Very close to shops/attractions and some good walks. This was an excellent location for a winter break, sure to be booking again.

looks like it has been recently refurbished. we didn't get towels even though booking stated as such. we had taken our own anyways but I would suggest you confirm you get towels with the owner. usually when you get linen this includes towels but we didn't ask the owner so she could have simply forgotten.

When we arrived there was a lovely welcoming pack with tea sugar milk and biscuits such a lovely touch. The lodge was well equipped and very clean the only negative that we had was the mattress and the pillows were very uncomfortable for us apart from that it was lovely.
Jean
I found this on web and my daughter and I are truly grateful We wanted a peaceful week as we had had very stressful 12months I know it was out of season but even in height I can see this site being peaceful retreat Only negative for the whole week is that there is no shop I highly recommend Yours Jean and Alison
Lorraine
Fantastic .... So good in fact that we keep going back..........Owners are really nice and they go out their way to make sure you have everything you need for a perfect stay
Carolyn
Bromine in hot tub was too high but over all holiday was amazing.
George
A peaceful tranquil place to stay lodge nice but would have preferred lino or laminate in living area instead of bare floorboards, not much to do in area have to travel for things to see and do which wasn't a problem, would consider returning to Beech Hedge at some point.
Neil
Quiet relaxing holiday. Amenities close by if desired. Beautiful lodge

Fun Days Out near All

about 4 Miles
Active Kid Adventure Park is the place to go if you have energetic children and are looking for a fun day out. The site boasts many attractions including a Zip Line, Target Football, Go Karts, Play Areas, Pony Rides and Crazy Golf. There are also some friendly farm animals to meet including a docile Donkey. Family tickets are just £20.00 and season tickets are also available.
about 29 Miles

So much more than a garden centre this place is ideal for a fun family day out in Angus. The garden centre stocks a huge range of plants, outdoor furniture and gardening equipment and also has a café serving tasty home made meals, cakes and snacks. The site has a large outdoor play area for children an ornamental pond and country park to explore. Halloween and Bonfire night's events are coming up soon. The annual Fireworks Display is really spectacular.

about 38 Miles
Smoo Cave is a popular attraction which can be enjoyed all year round but visitors should wrap up warm during the winter months.  This spectacular limestone sea-cave in Sutherland is the largest in Britain and is simply spectacular. The cave was formed by a burn that runs down into the rear chamber, as well as erosion caused by the sea. Guests can take the path from the car park which runs right through the cave. Boat trips are available in the summer months and are an excellent way to fully appreciate the cave from all angles.
