Hunters Quay is an action packed holiday spot for families and couples alike! The setting is beautiful; it’s next to the Holy Loch and the Firth of Clyde, and surrounded by glens where you’ll find an array of walking trails and wildlife. There’s loads for the kids to get involved with – from archery to WaterWalkerz – and with the wonderful Scottish lochs within easy reach, the whole family is going to be spoilt for choice.

There are simply too many superb facilities at Hunters Quay to list! With two indoor heated swimming pools, you can go snorkelling and try your hand at sea scooters and raft building. The park has an indoor and outdoor children’s play area and a games room - as well as badminton, archery, crossbows, fencing, Body Zorbs, Aeroball and Pana Soccer. There is also a sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi for the adults – and a host of other activities to keep you busy.

We love the Oak Premier Lodge 6 which is brand new for 2012 and sleeps up to six people. It has been fully interior designed and represents the height of luxury with magnificent views over the Loch Lomond National Park. The lodge has a verandah and outdoor barbecue area with its own private hot tub, a spacious living area and a flat screen TV in all three bedrooms.

Argyllshire and Islands is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where majestic landscapes, spectacular coastal scenery and lochside villages abound. Visitors to the area will love the superb walks and cycle paths. You could relive 500 years of turbulent Viking history at Vikingar in Largs – or head to Fins Seafood Restaurant in Fairlie for some delicious oysters, scallops and home-smoked salmon!

Our Top Tip
"The David Marshall Visitor Centre in Aberfoyle is a great place to go for guided walks, talks and seasonal activities."

Lovely park in an excellent location. Our lodge was well equipped and comfortable, a real home from home. The manager, David, was very helpful and welcoming even though we didn't arrive till late at night. We will definitely return for another stay in the near future as there is still a lot of places we want to visit and Hunters Quay was an excellent base.

Great holiday, kids. Meal in the restaurant was lovely and the chippy was a great treat.
Although the kichen in the lodge was a bit tired, it was very clean well equipt. Can not fault the lodge, park, or the entertainment
Amanda
Very clean and cosy lodge, great views, lots to do
Gail
Plenty to keep the kids occupied. The soft play is excellent and so reasonably priced. Pool was a good size, great that kids can take in balls, diving weights etc. Evening entertainment was great for both kids and adults alike. Lodge was clean & well equiped. Go Active desk and staff were really good, however at £10 per activity this can work out very expensive if you have more than one child
Fiona
Fabulous break for myself and two friends. Beautiful location. Excellent facilities although we didn’t use them!! B
Claire
Lovely place! Fantastic staff who are extremely helpful, great facilities including large swimming pool which was perfect for our toddler to enjoy. Great value for money in amazing surroundings. Would definitely recommend.
Chris
Great for a short break and highly recommend for a short break. Not enough around Dunoon unfortunately to keep a young family occupied for a full week or more. We have been several times to HQ and noticed the WIFI was working for first time this year and it was very good. Makes a big difference with young family. Another gripe feel you need another place for people to go eat. Even a Burger King or Subway or KFC on site. Saw them at other holiday sites and makes a difference. Thanks
Marian
I took my three foster children to Hunters Quay. The boys who were 16 and 17 years old enjoyed swimming, playing pool and clay pigeon shooting nearby. The 7year old girl loved the soft play, outdoor climbing area, swimming on site and in Dunoon. The entertainment at night was excellent both for the kids and myself, a very relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings!

We spent a fantastic long weekend at hunters quay - the accommodation was perfect for us, the facilities were lovely and extremely clean and well maintained and the staff could not have been more friendly. We can’t wait to go back again.
Louise

Fun Days Out near Hunters Quay

Inveraray Jail - about 18 Miles

This living museum portrays the harsh life inside of a 19th century prison. Travel back in history on a darkly fascinating journey into life in a Victorian prison. In a time when petty theft could have you branded with a hot iron! Watch courtroom trials, talk to the prisoners and see what it was like being locked up in jail. You can also take the ghost tour. Live actors bring the setting to life.
