About Bucklegrove Holiday Park

At the cusp of coast and countryside, the Bucklegrove Holiday Park offers comfortable home living in the heart of rural Wessex. Perfectly positioned close to an array of nearby activities, this park is the ideal place to retreat from your daily life and explore all that Wessex has to offer.

Bucklegrove began as a Tea Room in the 1940s, and you can still enjoy a tea and scone at the park's onsite café! Other onsite facilities include a stunning indoor swimming pool heated for your comfort, as well as an outdoor play area and a games room for kids of all ages. An onsite shop will provide you with all your holiday home essentials. Be sure to stop by The Lodge, Bucklegrove's onsite Bar, Grill and Restaurant, for culinary delights, local delicacies, and relaxation rain or shine with both a sun terrace and a covered outdoor area.

These woodland cabins are beautifully decorated and well equipped. The Platinum Lodges are our particular favourites: these wooden lodges are ideal for family getaways of up to six people, with a spacious open plan living area, a cosy veranda, and a private hot tub with stunning views of the Mendip Hills. The Luxury caravans also offer hot tub relaxation with a quaint and homely feel. The Luxury 2 has two bedrooms and sleeps up to four people, or for larger groups, go for the Luxury 3, which can host up to six guests.

The park is close to multiple nearby attractions and activities: explore the UK's largest cave system at Wookey Hole, a spiralling system of caverns and rock formations that will leave you in awe. For the adventure-seekers amongst you, head to Cheddar Gorge, an international centre for caving and rock-climbing with cliffs reaching 450 feet! If that's not enough exhilaration for you, be sure to head to the Grand Pier, a completely indoor theme park (perfect whatever the weather!) with a large variety of family friendly rides and attractions for a day of fun you'll never forget.

Bucklegrove Holiday Park Reviews

"It was lovely clean and well maintained, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The site appears small but it's larger than you think. Our grandchildren loved the walkway with the animals in it. Enjoyed swimming each day."
Susan - Aug 2022
"Brilliant, quiet holiday park, great location, small pool. Caravan was lovely and clean, loads of camping facilities onsite, highly recommended!"
Yanik - Jul 2022
"Lovely place, great staff Would stay again ?"
Sue - Jul 2022
"Everything was great at Bucklegrove, 2 suggestions I would make that would have made the experience evem better 1. To have some sort of screen for the hot tub so that their is privacy from the neighbours as well as from passers by. 2. Wifi - Although it was not advertised as wifi provided, when we got there they said wifi was available, however the signal was too weak to function and mobiles were not picking up their signals from providers either. The upside with no wifi was that kids couldn't stay in their rooms but were forced to interact"
Shahjahan - Jul 2022
"Lovely staff… lady and man very helpful in every way possible. Difficult with eating out on wed/Thursday off season due to club house closed and no other pub open in area. Difficult for dog walks but that is easily resolved just jump in a car and go out. We will not return but that is not a reflection on the owners, we just didn’t fit in ."
Lenka - Jul 2022
"Site managers were amazing. Very hard working & dedicated. Also provided reassurance and first aid to my little one when she hurt herself. Cant thank them enough. Caravans clean and tidy, site lovely with bar, food and a park outside for children."
Verified Guest - Jul 2022
"A great little site between Cheddar Gorge and Wells. The caravan was clean and well equipped. I was impressed they provided all the little extras, like towels, toilet rolls, hand wash, washing up liquid, cloths and tea towels and even a hairdryer. These were much appreciated."
Heather - Jul 2022
"Excellent- would definitely stay again. Staff were really helpful. Caravan was well equipped and clean."
Charlotte - Jul 2022
"Amazing place"
Amanda - Jul 2022
"Caravan was clean and comfortable but would say that warning needs to be given if after using hot tub do not attempt to walk on van floor as it is very slippery and my daughter had quite a bad fall I had to put towels on the floor to make it safe for her to get to bedroom so she could change in to dry clothing."
Charlotte - Jun 2022
"Holiday was great. Staff were very friendly and the caravan + hottub was well presented and clean."
Victoria - May 2022
"Excellant great staff especially the girl on reception wed afternoon."
Suzanne - May 2022
"Lovely clean caravan with everything that we needed"
Roy - May 2022
"We spent a long weekend here as a last minute break. The caravan was lovely and spacious and spotlessly cleaned. It was really well stocked with all you'd need. The hot tub outside was a great size and the on site pool was fantastic. The shop had plenty of essentials and the on-site play area was great for the children. Will be back for sure."
Rhys - May 2022
"Loved the pool. Early swim with grandson every day .caravan had everything we needed .everything worked well cooker, shower, heating ."
Kim - May 2022
"Very pleased with the accommodation, everything we needed"
Jeannette - May 2022
"As I didn't use the restaurant, I can't comment on it, the rest was great."
James - May 2022
"Very large and comfortable for just the 2 of us, we booked this accommodation for the hot tub and it didn't disappoint."
Verified Guest - May 2022
"Bed was dipped in the middle and a little noisey when you moved. Fridge milk holder was broken. Grill on oven did not work. Had problems with the toilet and shower. Caravan looked nothing like the online photos. Very disappointed"
Alexander - May 2022
"The caravan was superb with quality furnishings. The Hot Tub was so welcome."
Verona - Apr 2022
"Generally a nice caravan. Ensuite WC tiny, felt I needed to have a window open in lounge but most of the windows don't open. Gate to veranda needs attention and for a pet friendly caravan found bin with no top difficult. Even with heating on it felt drafty particularly at night."
Sharon - Apr 2022
"Fabulous lodge. Very spacious and clean."
Sara - Apr 2022
"Site was reasonable but the cleanliness in the lodge left a lot to be desired. For example the light shade in the main bedroom above the bed was filled with cobwebs dead spiders and the remains of their meals. Not pleasant."
Ric - Apr 2022
"Would definitely stay again if visiting the area"
Michael - Apr 2022
"Tidy clean and friendly. Nice quiet little park."
Lee - Apr 2022
"Great little find in cheddar. If you are looking you should book you won't be disappointed."
Verified Guest - Apr 2022

Philip - Oct 2021
"Lovely lodge, lots of room good equipped kitchen"
Lisa - Oct 2021
"Not cleaned very well at all, Curtains hadn't been dusted around in what looked like months. Old food under the coffee table. Dirty kitchen utensils. 2 saucepans and 2 baking trays nowhere near enough to be able to cook for 6 which is what the lodge sleeps."
Jackie - Sep 2021
"Not what I'd call a superior you need to rebrand as a bronze!"
