These woodland cabins are beautifully decorated and well equipped. The Platinum Lodges are our particular favourites: these wooden lodges are ideal for family getaways of up to six people, with a spacious open plan living area, a cosy veranda, and a private hot tub with stunning views of the Mendip Hills. The Luxury caravans also offer hot tub relaxation with a quaint and homely feel. The Luxury 2 has two bedrooms and sleeps up to four people, or for larger groups, go for the Luxury 3, which can host up to six guests.

The park is close to multiple nearby attractions and activities: explore the UK's largest cave system at Wookey Hole, a spiralling system of caverns and rock formations that will leave you in awe. For the adventure-seekers amongst you, head to Cheddar Gorge, an international centre for caving and rock-climbing with cliffs reaching 450 feet! If that's not enough exhilaration for you, be sure to head to the Grand Pier, a completely indoor theme park (perfect whatever the weather!) with a large variety of family friendly rides and attractions for a day of fun you'll never forget.

Bucklegrove Holiday Park Reviews

"Great site, great place, great staff, accommodation a bit tatty needed a bit of tlc."
Paul - May 2025
"If you are looking for standard accommodation at a good price in a location close to Cheddar then this holiday park is a good choice."
Tina - May 2025
"This was a comfortable caravan, but could do with a few more cooking pans etc. One or two repairs are needed. We enjoyed having a balcony so that we could get fresh air without worrying about the dog escaping!"
Susan - May 2025
"Site very clean and well run.Very friendly and helpful staff.Caravan a bit dated but adequate for value of holiday."
Diane - Apr 2025
"Our Bucklegrove Holiday Park review: Had a lovely break here! The park is really nice, plenty to keep us busy and the scenery is stunning."
Jessie - Mar 2025
"The hot tub was a bit cosy and lacked privacy, which was a little disappointing. The playground for the kids was quite small and lacked variety. But overall, we had a lovely weekend and would definitely return for a long weekend again. Nice break!"
Emma - Mar 2025
"We really enjoyed our stay, exploring different spots around the area. The caravan was spotless and comfy, loved the hot tub!"
Benji - Dec 2024
"We had such a lovely stay in this good place! The location is gorgeous and really private, perfect for relaxing. The owners were genuinely friendly and always there if we needed anything, but they didnt intrude on our space. The hot tub was a real treat after cycling around the area. Just a heads up - its right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much after a while, but if you're sensitive to noise, just keep that in mind. Overall, wed definitely go back!"
Rajesh Kumar - Nov 2024
"Overall, the caravan was decent size, but I expected more for a luxury place - like a TV in the main bedroom wouldve been nice. The hottub was a nice touch, but it could definitely do with some TLC since some jets werent working properly. Still, we enjoyed it!"
Sam - Oct 2024
"Great space, everything we needed was there."
Alex - Sep 2024
"We had a lovely, peaceful stay - really relaxing and quiet. Some more on-site entertainment would be a bonus, but we managed fine. Also, a few comfy settees in the restaurant would be perfect! Would come back again."
Harriet - Sep 2024
"We stayed at the lodge recently and honestly, it was pretty lovely overall. The views are stunning and the place was spotless, which we really appreciated. The hot tub was ready and waiting when we arrived - perfect way to unwind. Staff were super friendly and went out of their way to help us with a couple of minor issues, like some lights not working initially, but they sorted it quickly. There was also a DVD/Blu-ray player that wasnt functioning when we arrived, but they replaced it straight away. If were being picky, there was a tiny mark on the bedroom window that looked like someones face had pressed against it and a few small tears in the bedsheet, but honestly, it didnt bother us much. On our last night, we noticed the spa bath wasnt working, but I was pretty sick (food poisoning, nothing to do with the lodge), so I didnt get a chance to mention it. Overall, a great stay, just a bit of a shame about the late check-in time, especially since we paid extra for the lodge."
Claire - Sep 2024
"Honestly, we loved every bit of it. The hosts were super friendly and really helpful, making us feel at home. The place was perfect, nestled in a beautiful spot. Were already planning our return trip!"
Lisa - Aug 2024
"We had a really good time here. Plenty to do around the area and the location is spot on, very convenient indeed."
Michael - Jul 2024
"Really enjoyed it, especially in December!"
Rosie - Apr 2024
"Good spot to stay, even though we missed out on the restaurant. Would come again."
George - Mar 2024
"Great spot for a holiday, the location really couldnt be better!"
Oliver - Feb 2024
"The place was super cosy and quiet, perfect for unwinding. Our dog loved the enclosed garden!"
Elaine - Jan 2024
"We loved this cosy little cottage - the log burner and hot tub were a real treat. The hosts were friendly and welcoming too. Hope to come back soon!"
Lucy - Jan 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay here. The place was spotless and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Hosts were super friendly and welcoming. Hot tub was a highlight!"
Laura - Sep 2023
"Really enjoyed our stay here, perfect spot to explore the surroundings easily."
David - Jul 2023
"Really enjoyed our stay, would definitely return soon."
Jackie - May 2022
"We decided to have a spontaneous weekend away and stayed here. The caravan was really comfortable, surprisingly spacious and spotless when we arrived. Everything we needed was there, which was handy. The hot tub outside was a nice touch and the pool was perfect for relaxing. The shop had all the essentials and the kids loved the play area. Well definitely return!"
Jamie - May 2022
"Overall, the caravan was pretty nice, though a few issues stood out. The ensuite WC is tiny and I had to keep a window open in the lounge since most dont open. The veranda gate needs fixing and the open-top bin wasnt ideal for a pet-friendly space. It did feel a bit drafty at night despite the heating. Not bad, but could be better!"
Charlotte - Apr 2022
"Really enjoyed our stay, will come back for sure!"
Chris - Apr 2022
"The caravan was lovely, really well-furnished and cosy. The hot tub was perfect!"
Olivia - Apr 2022
"Perfect for a brief December getaway!"
Rachel - Dec 2021
"Really enjoyed our stay, the lodge was perfect."
Emily - Oct 2021
"Really spacious lodge with all the essentials, we were impressed!"
James - Oct 2021
"Comfortable cabins and friendly staff made our stay really enjoyable."
Mark - Aug 2020
"It was lovely clean and well maintained, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The site appears small but it's larger than you think. Our grandchildren loved the walkway with the animals in it. Enjoyed swimming each day."
Susan - Aug 2022
"Site managers were amazing. Very hard working & dedicated. Also provided reassurance and first aid to my little one when she hurt herself. Cant thank them enough. Caravans clean and tidy, site lovely with bar, food and a park outside for children."
Verified Guest - Jul 2022
"A great little site between Cheddar Gorge and Wells. The caravan was clean and well equipped. I was impressed they provided all the little extras, like towels, toilet rolls, hand wash, washing up liquid, cloths and tea towels and even a hairdryer. These were much appreciated."
Heather - Jul 2022
"Lovely place, great staff Would stay again ?"
Sue - Jul 2022
"Lovely staff… lady and man very helpful in every way possible. Difficult with eating out on wed/Thursday off season due to club house closed and no other pub open in area. Difficult for dog walks but that is easily resolved just jump in a car and go out. We will not return but that is not a reflection on the owners, we just didn’t fit in ."
Lenka - Jul 2022
"Everything was great at Bucklegrove, 2 suggestions I would make that would have made the experience evem better 1. To have some sort of screen for the hot tub so that their is privacy from the neighbours as well as from passers by. 2. Wifi - Although it was not advertised as wifi provided, when we got there they said wifi was available, however the signal was too weak to function and mobiles were not picking up their signals from providers either. The upside with no wifi was that kids couldn't stay in their rooms but were forced to interact"
Shahjahan - Jul 2022
"Brilliant, quiet holiday park, great location, small pool. Caravan was lovely and clean, loads of camping facilities onsite, highly recommended!"
Yanik - Jul 2022
"Amazing place"
Amanda - Jul 2022
"Excellent- would definitely stay again. Staff were really helpful. Caravan was well equipped and clean."
