Barmouth Bay Holiday Park Reviews

"Bad start as we had to complain about the first caravan but this was totally resolved when we were quickly moved to another, which met all our expectations of a "superior" caravan."
Verified Guest - May 2025
"We really enjoyed our stay here. The setting is absolutely stunning and private, making it the perfect escape. The owners are super friendly and always there if you need anything, but it still feels secluded. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day of cycling, honestly! The only thing to keep in mind is that the cottage is directly under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of noise from the planes. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but it didnt ruin our trip at all. Would definitely recommend!"
Raj - Oct 2024
"We found the caravan to be a decent pick, especially for a small family like ours. Its quite cosy but plenty of room for two adults and two kids. Everything worked smoothly and the central heating was a real lifesaver in April. Overall, were happy with it!"
Alex - Apr 2024
"Great website, but the caravan was quite outdated now."
Emma - Dec 2023
"Our Barmouth Bay Holiday Park review: Lovely trip, would definitely recommend to others."
Rachel - May 2022
"Really enjoyed our stay, the place was cosy and welcoming."
Sophie - May 2022
"We stayed with just two of us and our dog and honestly, it was plenty. The caravan feels a bit cramped with four, so removing one bedroom to make room for luggage and some space to move around would be a big help. Still, we had a lovely time!"
Claire - Apr 2022
"Really enjoyed our stay here"
Charlie - Jul 2020
"Great experience, would definitely come back"
Jessie - Oct 2019
"Really enjoyed our stay, the place was super relaxing and were already planning our next visit soon!"
Emily - Sep 2019
"Great place, would recommend"
Oliver - Jun 2019
"We had a fantastic stay from the moment we arrived! The reception team were super friendly and really helpful right from the start. Our caravan was lovely, spotless and had everything we needed. We did hit a small snag with the fridge freezer, which seemed to break, but they replaced it the same day-so no big deal. The hot tub was a real highlight, perfect for relaxing after a busy day. The park itself was spotless and being just a couple of minutes from a lovely beach, a supermarket, chippy and arcades was perfect for us. All in all, a great family weekend and were already talking about coming back soon!"
Jamie - May 2019
"Great space, loved the backyard too."
Martin - May 2019
"Great experience overall, staff were friendly and welcoming. The caravan was spotless and modern. Very pleased!"
Sam - Mar 2019
"Really enjoyed our short getaway! The place was lovely and well definitely return when its busier."
Harper - Dec 2018
"We've loved Barmouth Bay for over three decades now, truly special."
Lucy - May 2018
"Great holiday, would recommend"
Sarah - Apr 2018
"The heating gave us some trouble, but overall, everything else was great. We loved the scrabble table!"
Charlotte - Oct 2017
"Really enjoyed the experience overall."
James - Oct 2017
"We really enjoyed our stay here; its a perfect base for exploring Snowdonia, the Lleyn Peninsula and Anglesey. Theres so much to see - like the Electric Mountain at Llanberis, which is quite a sight and the quaint railway carriage diner at Betwys y Coed. But honestly, the highlight was discovering that old, slightly crumbling toll bridge on the Dollgellau road out of Barmouth. Sitting outside the pub on the other side, watching the world go by, was just lovely. Wed definitely come back!"
Harriet - Jul 2017
"Great experience, will return for sure."
Mark - May 2017
"The caravan was really spacious, sleek, spotless and had everything we could possibly need for a comfy stay. Nice touch!"
Tom - Sep 2015
"Great service, highly recommend"
Simon - May 2015
"We thought this caravan was fabulous for the price! It has everything we needed and more. The space is great and the little touches make it feel really homely. Would definitely recommend it to others looking for a budget-friendly option. Just a lovely place to relax!"
Clara - Oct 2014
"This place offers real value for money! It could use some new furnishings, but it's very clean and we would definitely stay here again. The WiFi is good too, just ask for the details!"
Riley - Oct 2014
"What a stunning caravan we've found! The layout is just perfect and the decor is super stylish. Well definitely be back again soon."
Laura - Oct 2014
"This caravan park is clean and well maintained and its really quiet, especially if you visit outside of the school holidays! Its right next to the sea, which is fantastic for running, whether on the beach or the moorl and to the East. The swimming pool is nice and peaceful, plus there are loads of walking spots nearby. There are loads of caravan parks in this area, along with amusements and all sorts, so while its lovely during off-peak times, it might not be the best place for a quiet getaway when its busy!"
Happy Beachgoer - Jul 2014
"We had an awesome time and loved every second of it! The staff were brilliant and we really loved it. We cant wait to come back again!"
Jenna - Jul 2014
"We had a lovely stay at this accommodation! The location is just perfect for a family holiday, making it super easy to explore the area. Everything we needed was nearby, which was a big plus. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it to others!"
Kate - May 2014
"We had a brilliant time! The caravan was absolutely fantastic value for money and the location was just spot on. The views were stunning and the access to the beach was great. We would definitely come again."
Ben - May 2014
"Absolutely wonderful stay at Barmouth Bay. Park really nicely set out and well maintained. Caravan very well equipped and spotless. Wifi wasnt great but that was the only issue the whole week."
Garry - Aug 2022
"As always, a lovely holiday here."
Anna - Jul 2022
"First time at this park , caravan and park very tidy and clean beach literally on your doorstep helpful staff . Basketball court needs relocating away from caravans near by as can get noisy"
Paul - Jul 2022
"Had an amazing holiday in Barmouth. Barmouth Bay Holiday Park was a very peaceful and relaxing site. The caravan was a great size and was perfectly located by the beach which our two year old loved. The staff in reception were very friendly and happy to help, when we faced an issue with our shower we had someone with us in minutes to fix the issue."
Matthew - Jun 2022
"Staff were super helpful and friendly. They straight away pointed out some local places that my little boy would enjoy. Caravan was clean and exactly as pictured. The play castle was even better and bigger than we expected from the photos and my little boy (3) absolutely loved it! Although we did have to stay close with him as it is deffinately aimed at older kids. There is a great smaller climbing ship and a clean sand pit which he enjoyed, but the play castle he went on multiple times a day every day. The beach was one of the best beaches I've been to. It felt like a private beach. At first it appears to be a pebble beach but as soon as you crest the little pebble section it's a lovely sandy beach. We would deffinately go again."
Sheryl - Jun 2022
"Beautiful place, Very well looked after, immaculate.prompt courteous attention if you have a problem."
Colin - Jun 2022
"Lovely site, situated a stones throw from the very quiet beach. Nice local bar for good food and drink. Amusements for the kids too."

"Excellent holiday, will recommend to friends and family ,will return"

"Nice and relaxing and all the staff pleasant and polite and very helpful"
