Ogwen Bank Caravan and Lodge Park Reviews

"We stayed at the lodge over New Years and honestly, the hot tub was fantastic! The setting was stunning and the restaurant was really welcoming, especially for our dog. However, the place felt more suited for a couple rather than a family of four with a dog. The single bathroom meant passing through a bedroom at night wasnt ideal and there were no wardrobes, so we had to live out of our suitcases, which was a bit of a pain. Still, it was a lovely break overall and wed probably go back. Just maybe not with the whole family next time!"
Harriet - Jan 2025
"We had a fantastic stay! The place was spotless, airy and super modern. Felt warm and cosy, plus its right near Zip World. Watching people from the window was a bonus!"
Emma - Oct 2024
"We honestly loved this lodge! Everything was spot on and it totally went beyond what we expected. Definitely one of the best stays we've had through Hoseasons."
Emma - Oct 2024
"Beautiful lodge with breathtaking views, loved it!"
Emma - Sep 2024
"Our Ogwen Bank Caravan and Lodge Park review: We stayed here recently and honestly, the location is spot on - really easy to get around. The lodge itself was quite nice, well kept and felt good quality. However, check-in was a bit of a letdown; the staff seemed eager to finish up and rushed through it, which was a bit frustrating. Wifi was pretty much useless most of the time, which was disappointing considering what we paid. Theres not really any space for kids to play, since the whole site is packed with lodges everywhere. Overpriced, especially during the school holidays, but overall, not too bad."
Sam - Aug 2024
"Great atmosphere, super friendly staff and spotlessly clean environment."
Oliver - Aug 2024
"Great stay, would definitely come back!"
Emma - Jul 2024
"We loved the location for exploring North Wales; its super convenient. The park and rooms were spotless and well-maintained. Staff at reception were really friendly and welcoming. Only tiny gripe-the lounge seating was a bit snug for four adults, just a small corner settee. Otherwise, a lovely stay!"
Claire - Jun 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay! After a day exploring North Wales, it was perfect to unwind in the hot tub and relax on the sofa. The scenery was stunning and everything felt so cosy. Were already planning to come back in 2025 - cant wait for our next visit! Definitely recommend it."
Emma Reynolds - Jan 2024
"We just got back from a lovely stay at Beechwood in Snowdonia and honestly, it was fantastic. The scenery and walks were breathtaking, but what really made it special was the lodge itself. Spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and super comfy. The hot tub was a real treat after a day exploring. Were already planning to return soon. Definitely recommend!"
Oliver Jenkins - Jan 2024
"Perfect spot for unwinding, stunning views and all the essentials nearby - loved it!"
Oliver - Nov 2023
"Really enjoyed our stay, though the bed was a tad firm for us."
Emma - Nov 2023
"Really enjoyed our stay, the location was perfect for exploring."
Emma - Jun 2023
"We stayed in the riverside pod and honestly, it was pretty lovely. The setting by the stream was so peaceful and the kids loved the hot tub - such a bonus! The space was a bit on the cosy side, but that didnt spoil things for us. A few small things like cupboard handles and blind cords could do with fixing, but overall, we had a great holiday and would definitely return."
Emma - Jun 2023
"Really enjoyed the stay, super comfy and the hot tub was a bonus!"
James - May 2023
"Great spot for a weekend stay, will return for sure!"
Emma - Aug 2020
"We loved the stunning mountain views, no matter the weather. Can't wait to return next year, it truly is an amazing place!"
Alex - Jul 2020
"Nice experience, we'd definitely return"
James - Jul 2020
"Really enjoyed our stay, would recommend it!"
Emily Carter - Nov 2019
"We recently stayed at this lovely spot and honestly, the place is a real gem. The setting is peaceful and serene, perfect if you're after a quiet escape. Its also quite handy - just a half-hour drive to most attractions, which made exploring pretty easy. The lodge itself is charming and we loved the calm vibe. That said, there were a couple of minor issues. The wardrobe door in one of the rooms kept falling off because it wasnt screwed in properly and the oven door didnt shut quite right. We wouldnt normally fuss about these things, but travelling with two little ones made it a bit tricky. We had to wedge a utensil in the oven to keep it closed, which was a bit of a pain. We mentioned it at reception, but didnt notice any action until checkout - the staff seemed surprised no one had fixed it earlier, so maybe it was just a miscommunication. On the plus side, the food at the quarry bar was lovely and the staff there were especially great with our kids. Overall, apart from those small hiccups, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!"
Emma - Nov 2019
"Great spot, cozy lodge, definitely returning soon. Highly recommend!"
Emma - Nov 2019
"We visit this place every year and honestly, its a little gem. Its peaceful and kinda tucked away but still close enough to everything we need. The lodge is stunning and well-stocked. Just a tip - bring a DVD player, the TVs only Freeview. Definitely a solid 10/10!"
Emma - Oct 2019
"We had a mostly lovely experience, but it was a bit disappointing that the main area was so cold. Since we were with our dog, we ended up in the back room, which was fine but felt a little strange because the flooring was the same everywhere. Honestly, it didnt make much sense to me."
Emma - Oct 2019
"Overall, we had a pretty good stay. The only thing that bugged us was not having any tea towels or oven gloves, so we had to use our own bath towels for handling hot pans or pulling food out of the oven. Luckily, the owner responded really quickly when we called about the hot tub being a bit chilly-it was sorted within minutes, which was great. The hot tub issue was a bit disappointing, but their quick response made up for it. All in all, a decent place with friendly service!"
Emma - Sep 2019
"Great experience overall!"
Emma - Aug 2019
"Great place, would definitely return"
Alex - Aug 2019
"We stayed at the S-Pod and honestly, it was a pretty nice experience. The place was spotless and had a modern feel, which we appreciated. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom was a good size for us. The hot tub was a real highlight, offering lovely river views. Only thing is, privacy wasnt great - with caravans overlooking and the neighbouring hot tub visible, some fencing would really improve things. Still, we enjoyed it!"
Emma - Jul 2019
"Really impressed with how much they've upgraded the place lately. Looks great!"
Sam - Jul 2019
"Really enjoyed browsing, staff made me feel so welcome."
Emma - Jul 2019
"Well definitely be back, loved every minute of it!"
Emma - Jun 2019
"An amazing break away, would thoroughly recommend. Location is perfect, food in the grill is amazing and the pod we stayed in was perfect. Will definitely be back"
Katharine - Jul 2022
"Great location for Zipworld, lovely and peaceful surroundings."
Christine - Jul 2022
"Lovely park on the side of a river. Was very quite when we were there as we went the start of Scottish school holidays so not many people around at the time. Lodge was lovely and clean as was the hot tub, ours was in a more private area at the back of the decking. Was based behind the quarry where you could watch the zip line go past all day. We were even brave enough to go on ourselves and was an amazing experience. Would def recommend if your in the area for zip world."
Linzi - Jul 2022
"Beautiful place to stay, would definitely recommend"
Laura - Jun 2022
"First time visiting but definitely not the last. The site itself is beautiful, the restaurant food was delicious and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. With regards to the surrounds, what can I say, you can walk for miles with such beautiful scenery of the mountains, steams and rivers, woodland and sheep and it is right next to part of zip world. The lodge was beautiful and comfortable. There isn't a single bad thing I would say about the place. I plan on going back again next year."
Joanne - May 2022
"Perfect location for amazing walk! Lodge was lovely with a little hot tub outside, only thing I would suggest is if it’s a pet friendly lodge to possibly have a gate that can be shut so the dogs can be on the decking without being tied up."
Megan - May 2022
"Excellent location comfortable accommodation and friendly staff"
Graham - May 2022
"Beautiful scenery and comfortable accommodation. Great location for snowdon and other attractions."
Sharon - May 2022
"What a fantastic place! The lodge was warm, comfortable and the hot tub was bliss! The Ogwen Bank team were all very friendly. The site was ideally located for sightseeing. Ticked all the boxes and will definitely be going back!!"
Ian - May 2022
"We stayed through Hoseasons. The park is so ideal for Zipworld....literally a 10min walk down the river and up the hill. There is a very small restaurant on site which does decent pub food and we found perfectly sufficed for us on our arrival....advise yo precooked though as it is small. Staff all around site are really helpful. Plus side is that you can also eat/drink at Zipworld as it is walkable. The Beechwood Lodge with hot tub was lovely. Comfy and spacious for 2 adults and 2 teen boys and has most things you need. No towels though! Also, Beechwood is next to the road so advise earplugs! We also went to The Wave in Dolgarrog. Highly recommend activities there too....surfing and Ninja course. The site is being extended with new lodges so some areas are in a little disarray. However a perfect, peaceful spot to visit the beautiful Snowdonia area."
Jana - Apr 2022
"Was gorgeous. All the amenities were provided. Staff were so helpful. Great views. Right next to the ogwen Valley and waterfall."
