Pen-y-Garth Lodges Reviews

"The lodge was really lovely-spotlessly clean and quite spacious. Only downside was the single bed mattresses, which werent very comfy."
Emma - Mar 2025
"We had a great stay at this lodge! The beds were super comfy and there were plenty of towels. Everything you could need for cooking, cleaning and relaxing was there. TVs in every room, which was a bonus too."
Emma - Feb 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay, the lodge felt super cosy and welcoming throughout our trip."
Emma - Feb 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay here! The place was spotless, stunning views and the hot tub was just what we needed. Well be back for sure!"
Emma - Dec 2024
"Our Pen-y-Garth Lodges review: The cabin was really lovely-beautifully finished and spacious, with super comfy beds. We were a bit disappointed there was no hot tub though, sadly."
Emma - Dec 2024
"We had our second stay here and honestly, its just as fantastic as before. Terry was super friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the manor house and loved how clean and well-maintained everything was. Our family enjoyed the lodges too. Beautiful Bala, close to the village. Well definitely be back!"
Emma - Dec 2024
"Absolutely loved it, the lodge was stunning and super comfy. Will return!"
Emma Carter - Dec 2024
"Comfortable stay, would recommend"
James - Nov 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay here. The lodge was spotless and peaceful, perfect for unwinding. Staff were super friendly and happy to help. Beds were comfy and the showers worked great after a bit of trial. Internet was a bit tricky though!"
Emily - Nov 2024
"The lodge was spotless, with plenty of plates, cups and pans. Bedrooms were cosy and overall, it was a really lovely stay. Would come back!"
Emma Carter - Nov 2024
"Very cosy, loved the peaceful surroundings."
Emma - Oct 2024
"The lodge had pretty much everything we could think of and then some. The dishwasher and washing machine were definitely a bonus! Kitchen was well-stocked, though Id have loved a chopping board - just a small thing really."
Emma Carter - Oct 2024
"We loved the spaciousness and the great facilities. Everything was spotless and well-maintained. Honestly, we couldve easily stayed longer - theres so much to enjoy!"
Emma - Oct 2024
"We loved the lodge! It was so clean and cosy, especially being dog-friendly. No complaints at all, really lovely stay."
Emma Carter - Oct 2024
"Really enjoyed staying here, the place was spotless and spacious. The hot tub was fantastic!"
Emma - Sep 2024
"Really enjoyed staying here, the place was comfy and had everything we needed. The layout was spot on, we loved it!"
Emma Carter - Sep 2024
"We found the lodge really comfy and well-equipped, plus the layout in our section of the park was nicely spaced out, which we appreciated."
Sarah - Sep 2024
"Honestly, we were a bit let down by the lack of kitchen essentials like foil, salt and more toilet rolls. Some furniture was broken too, which was frustrating. Expected more from a 5-star place, especially with limited kitchen gear. Not quite what we hoped for."
Emma Clarke - Sep 2024
"The lodge offers decent facilities and the kitchen is pretty well stocked. The hot tub is definitely a highlight. We did notice some dust up high and a few spots, like bathroom skirting boards, looked like they needed a wipe. Overall, not too bad though."
Emma - Aug 2024
"We stayed at The Lodge recently and really enjoyed the comfy beds and sofas - its a well-equipped place with plenty of utensils in the kitchen and we appreciated the Tesco delivery service. That said, it could do with a bit more TLC, as there were cobwebs and dirt in the corners and the sinks and showers drained very slowly. Still, a decent stay overall!"
Emma Carter - Aug 2024
"The lodge was lovely, super tidy and had everything we could ask for. Hot tub was spotless daily!"
Emma - Aug 2024
"We had a decent stay overall, but there are a few things that caught us off guard. Firstly, the pictures of the holiday park show swimming pools, but turns out, those are part of the hotel and you have to pay extra if you want to use them-kind of misleading. Check-in is quite late at 4:30 pm and they won't let you arrive earlier even if you ask nicely, which seems a bit harsh. Check-out is at 9:00 am too, which is quite early considering most places are 10:00 am, so that felt unfair. When we arrived, the sofa was covered in dog fur and it took my husband about 40 minutes to vacuum it all off. There's not much to do within the park itself, so its a bit limited. For what we paid, we expected more value, but apart from that, everything else was okay, I suppose."
Emma Roberts - Aug 2024
"Our stay at the manor house was genuinely lovely, better than we thought it would be. Its quite remote and peaceful, so walking around isnt quick, but theres plenty within an hours drive. The hot tub and pool table were real highlights!"
Rachel - Aug 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, but honestly, we wish it was longer! Definitely coming back."
Emma Carter - Jul 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, peaceful surroundings and spotless lodge too."
Jamie - Jul 2024
"After a lengthy drive, we finally reached our accommodation and immediately felt at ease. The lodge was so spacious and spotless, honestly, it was spotless! Everything you could think of was provided, from tea bags to coffee and sugar, plus milk portions - such a thoughtful touch. We really couldn't find any faults, it was just perfect for our stay. Definitely made our trip even better!"
Emily Carter - Jul 2024
"We stumbled upon this place quite by accident and honestly, it was a great choice. The lodge was surprisingly roomy and really well kitted out. Being on the edge of the park meant we could relax in the hot tub without worrying about nosy neighbours. The weather was a bit rubbish, but that didnt spoil our stay at all. Only tiny issue was the dodgy TV signal now and then, but otherwise, it was perfect for a chilled getaway."
Emma - Jul 2024
"We had a fantastic week at this place! Even with the weather being a bit moody, everyone in our mixed age group found plenty to enjoy. The communal space was perfect for hanging out, especially the pool table which got a lot of use and the giant TV was great for chill evenings. The conservatory was a lovely spot to relax with a book, always cosy and warm. The welcome hamper was a nice touch and the house had everything we needed. The staff were super helpful too. Its a quiet spot but perfect for a laid-back break. Wed definitely come back!"
Emily - Jul 2024
"We loved our holiday here"
Claire - Aug 2022
"Had a lovely stay at Pen Y Garth lodges with 2 adults, 2 children and a dog. The park is a lovely peaceful park with a children play area and indoor games room along with a small shop for essentials. The park is a great base to explore the local area with Bala Lake only 5 minutes away, along with Bala town with a number of pubs and shops. Barmouth beach is only 45 minutes drive away and is lovely for a visit."
Rachael - Aug 2022
"Brilliant lodges, excellent venue, can say it was the best Park we've stayed on. Very impressed ?"
Jamie - Aug 2022
"A great break with kids with sufficient facilities on site to keep us occupied at night and close enough to many great locations such as Bala, Barmouth etc for great days out."
Karen - Jul 2022
"Lodge is absolutely beautiful, as is the site. It has everything you could possible need in the accommodation. Ideally situated for exploring all day, with the added bonus of the hot tub to chill after a long day. None of us wanted to come home."
Amy - Jul 2022
"Lovely luxurious lodges, beautiful surroundings very peaceful, Only issues I had were you can’t check in till 4.30 so the first day as gone and you have to be out by 9am far to early especially when you have to strip bedding, Put towels in laundry bags, empty all the bins as well as packing your car up and getting everyone fed and out by 9am, When I asked why they said due to cleaning and Covid etc it could take 3 hours per lodge to clean, which I do understand, but there was bags of water balloons from previous guests stuffed down the back of the side cabinet so not been cleaned / checked over properly. I wasn’t looking for anything to moan about I found them purely because we had problems with the Wi-Fi so I looked see we had the right plugs plugged in. Other than that it was a beautiful week in a beautiful Lodge - They just need to tweak the times of check in and check outs and it would be 10/10"
Emma - Jul 2022
"This is a quiet, tranquil park - been a few times and will continue to visit."
Austin - Jul 2022
"Stayed in Lodge 53. Great as the hot tub is a but more secluded. The lodge was huge and had no issues. The park is well kept and has some amazing views. It's less than a 5 min drive into Bala. Would highly recommend this parc and will definitely be back."
Nicola - Jul 2022
"Lovely park but could do with a little shop and maybe a bar/restaurant on as there’s not many places to eat the lodges themselves are excellent"
Stacey - Jul 2022
