Devon Hills Reviews

"We had such a lovely stay! The lodge was spotless and perfectly situated, with stunning views that made every morning special. It truly felt like a home away from home - everything we needed was there. The hot tub was a real highlight and our dog absolutely loved it too! Definitely planning to return soon. Cheers!"
Emma Parker - Mar 2025
"We really enjoyed our stay, the staff were super friendly and the hot tub was perfect."
Emily Carter - Mar 2025
"Really comfy and nicely made, but itd be helpful to know if it includes a washing machine."
Emma Carter - Mar 2025
"Great spot, loads to explore nearby. The caravan was spotless, really comfy stay overall!"
Emma Roberts - Mar 2025
"Our Devon Hills review: Honestly, our stay was a nightmare. The place wasnt booked properly, so they had no idea we were arriving, which was frustrating. No gas meant no heating or hot water - freezing! There were cobwebs everywhere and the bathroom had thick black mould on the ceiling. Dog hair under the bedsheets and a terrible smell that made our little one sneeze all night. We reported everything to the site manager, but it was just a disaster overall. Definitely not returning."
Lucy - Mar 2025
"Very relaxing spot, the lodge was truly charming."
Emily Carter - Mar 2025
"We stayed at Comfort Lodge recently and honestly, it was a mixed bag. The lodge itself is quite modern and cosy, but the cream furniture was a bit of a nightmare with marks and stains showing up easily. The hot tub was a bit of a disappointment - broke after just two nights, which was a shame. The staff, though, were quick to respond and offered us a partial refund or a swap to another lodge, which was helpful. The site itself was pretty quiet, with a decent pool and gym, plus a nice cafe with friendly staff. The location was great for exploring nearby towns. On our last night, the kitchen tap came off, spraying hot water all over us, which caused some irritation and redness. We called out of hours and someone arrived quickly to shut off the water, but we decided to leave that night. The manager said theyd get in touch, but we never heard back. Overall, it was okay, but some things could be improved."
Alex T. - Mar 2025
"We had a lovely time in the caravan, everything was spot on. Definitely planning to return soon! Thanks!"
Emma Roberts - Mar 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay, the lodge was perfect and well looked after."
Emma Carter - Feb 2025
"We had a lovely stay! The lodge was super comfy and all the facilities worked perfectly. The kids loved the little gifts and the ice-creams in the freezer. The fire in the lounge was just amazing. Definitely a weekend to remember!"
Emma - Feb 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay, especially the hot tub! The bed was super comfy, but some bedside lamps would be a nice addition."
Emily Carter - Feb 2025
"We needed a quick hoover and some updates-mop, bucket and new main carpet. Its definitely overdue for a bit of a refresh!"
Emma - Feb 2025
"We stayed at Fairview Heights 13 and honestly, it was fantastic. The place was spotless, roomy and super charming. The owners really did think of everything, from games to colouring books. Loved it!"
Emily - Feb 2025
"Honestly, we were a bit disappointed with the holiday home. It wasnt really 'superior' as advertised - just a wider standard caravan with nothing special about it. The fridge freezer was broken, though they did manage to squeeze in a small under-counter one between the kitchen and lounge. The decking was a nightmare, so slippery and slimy - really needs a proper power wash! The beds, while decent for caravan standards, were a bit short, so our feet dangled off. Interestingly, the comfort plus hot tub lodge was a lot more impressive, even though its technically a lower class. Were not hot tub fans, but honestly, wed probably book that one again next time because it just seemed way nicer overall."
Emma Roberts - Jan 2025
"We had a lovely family break and would definitely recommend it. The location was spot on and the staff were really friendly. The lodge itself couldve been cleaner - the hover had a strange smell and the kitchen wasnt wiped down when we arrived. The key system was a bit of a pain; a regular key wouldve been simpler, honestly. Still, overall, it was a great holiday!"
Mark - Jan 2025
"We recently stayed at Woodpecker Vale Lodge 13 and honestly, there were a few niggles. The beds werent the most comfy, as theyre the spring type and you could feel the springs through the thin mattresses, which was a bit annoying. Also, there was no hairdryer in the lodge, which wouldve been handy. The outside light was out too-probably just a bulb, but with it being winter and dark early, it wouldve been nice to have. The sites lighting isnt great at night, so if you prefer more light, that might be an issue."
Emily - Jan 2025
"Really impressed with how well equipped it is."
Emma - Dec 2024
"The lodge was spotless, cosy and had everything we needed for our stay."
Emma Clarke - Dec 2024
"Honestly, our stay had its ups and downs. The bath panelling was pretty dirty, which was a bit off-putting and the hoover looked like it was from ages ago. We also had to move the shed because it was blocking the gate, which was a bit of a hassle. There was no spare bedding for accidents, so that was a worry with young kids. On the bright side, the lodge's location on the dog field was perfect for our Labrador and we loved the dishwasher and washer dryer. Plenty of space for our little one to play too, so mixed feelings overall."
Emma Carter - Dec 2024
"Great experience, will return soon"
Alex - Dec 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay, the lodge was spotless and had all the essentials. The hot tub was a real treat!"
Emma - Nov 2024
"The bed was way too small, we expected a king size again."
Martin - Nov 2024
"Had a great time with friends and our dog, really enjoyed the experience overall."
Emma - Nov 2024
"This caravan really has everything we look for-especially the dishwasher, which is such a bonus. The only tiny hiccup was the gas oven; it took a bit longer to cook compared to electric ovens. Still, overall, were very happy with it!"
David - Nov 2024
"This lodge really exceeded our expectations. Its super spacious and has all the essentials. The place was spotless and the maintenance team sorted out our broken bathroom light in no time. Definitely recommend it for a relaxing stay!"
Julia - Nov 2024
"Overall, the experience was quite positive, just a few issues."
Emma - Nov 2024
"Really good deal for what you pay and the location was spot on too!"
Emma Carter - Nov 2024
"Really impressed with the overall cleanliness."
Chris - Nov 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, the place was peaceful, spotless and well looked after. Will return!"
Oliver - Nov 2024
"Will definitely return. Lovely Park, spacious, location is very central to Paignton and Goodrington and Zoo."
Mike - Aug 2022
"The park, accommodation, pub leisure centre were wonderful. Certainly the lodge had a wow factor."
Julie - Jul 2022
"Superb location, caravan and facilities - had a great holiday helped by amazing weather"
Michael - Jul 2022
"Really quiet. Perfect getaway if you live in a city"
Dan - Jul 2022
"Had a lovely week at Devon Hills, very peaceful site and lovely views. The comfort lodge we stayed it was very spacious, and there was plenty of space for 4 adults. The only thing would be if 6 people were staying in the lodge, there was only patio furniture for 4. We picked a good week weather wise to. Would definitely recommend."
Angela - Jul 2022
"Lovely, peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful accommodation and lovely view."
