Kingsford Farm Lodges Reviews

"The lodge was really lovely and super tidy, just wish the windows had been cleaned. Outside was very well looked after!"
Emma Carter - Sep 2024
"We really liked the hot tub and the site was adorable. Sadly, the sofa was too stained to sit on and some cupboard items need a proper wash. A deep cleans definitely in order!"
Alex - Jul 2024
"Great experience, can't wait to return!"
Emma Carter - May 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, everything was spot on and well definitely return again soon."
Oliver - May 2024
"Our Kingsford Farm Lodges review: Really enjoyed the stay"
Alex - Mar 2024
"Absolutely loved the lodge! Everything was perfect and the bed was so cosy - slept like a baby."
Emma - Feb 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay at Kingsford Lodge! The setting is beautiful, totally secluded but still close enough to Exeter for a quick trip. The owner was super friendly and made us feel right at home. The lodge itself was spotless and had everything we needed. The only downside was the Wi-Fi-it was pretty rubbish, which can be a pain if you're planning to stay longer. Still, wed happily come back and recommend it to others!"
Emma Carter - Jan 2024
"Great place, loved it"
Emma - Aug 2020
"Perfect base for discovering south Devon, escaping daily stresses and relaxing in a cosy setting! Really enjoyed it."
Emma - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed it, would definitely come back."
Emma - Aug 2020
"Nice place, everything functioned well, no surprises, good value."
Emma - Feb 2020
"We had a lovely time at this place! The setting is stunning and even though the lodges are a bit close, the little fences help with privacy. Its perfect for quick trips to Exeter and Dartmouth, plenty to see and do nearby. A few small touches like tea, coffee and soap wouldve made it even better, but we were prepared. Honestly, we loved our stay and really wish we could go back in the hot tub again!"
Emma - Jul 2019
"We stayed at this cosy lodge tucked away in quite a remote spot and honestly, it was so peaceful-perfect for a quiet escape. The surroundings within the park are lovely, really lush and calming. A little heads-up for future visitors: the sign outside could be clearer; we didnt realise wed arrived until the host came rushing over. Driving around involves a lot of single track roads, so confidence on the wheel helps! Wed also appreciate more regular hot tub checks-heard of this being done elsewhere. The single beds are a tad small but comfy enough and towels are supplied, though theyre quite tiny, so dont forget your beach towel for the hot tub. Remember to bring dishwasher tablets and essentials, as only the first lot is provided. Overall, a lovely stay!"
Emily - Jul 2019
"Very comfy lodge with all the essentials provided."
Jamie - Jul 2019
"Love coming here after a year’s hard slog at work. So tranquil and natural. Not far from Dartmoor Park or Exeter. Roughly an hour to the seaside depending where you want to go. Nice pubs locally for food and drink. The approach to the place is via a single narrow public bridle road for about 2 miles. Tight in some places with shrubbery otherwise a well maintained lane. Expect to meet the odd cow or two and farm vehicles along this road."
Stephanie - Jul 2022
"Owner welcomed us and explained everything when we first arrived and then left us alone which was great. We were in lodge 3 which was not overlooked at all. Very quiet which was lovely. Not very good WiFi connectivity and no phone signal at all was the only let down otherwise couldn't fault the lodge Would definitely recommend."
Sue - Jul 2022
"Lovely lodge well equipped everything you needed, in a nice setting, although some reviewers didn’t like the road towards the farm but we didn’t have any problems just a few horses on the road. And loved the hot tub."
Alison - Jun 2022
"Really enjoyed my holiday ,peaceful ,tranquil settings just the lambs bleeding and ducks quacking would highly recommend ?"
Sharon - Jun 2022
"Kingsford Farm Lodges were in an idylic setting, very quite and peaceful. It was off the beaten track but the directions given are spot on! The lodge we used was well equipped and comfortable, the twin room had proper single beds not just the 2ft 6" beds unlike other accommodations we have used which feel a bit like sleeping on a shelf! The bathroom was a very good size with a double sized shower and a great shower with great water pressure. Would have like more towels though, only about four hung on the towel rail so was a stretch for 3 people! It was a good job we had our own towels for the hot tub. We arrived a bit early to check in but we were welcomed and given keys and directions to our lodge, the owner needed to pop out but this allowed us to unpack the car, and she came down to the lodge to explain how the hot tub worked and answer any questions we had. Have to say the hot tub was one of the best we have used, it was powerful and lovely and warm, and kept its heat, It was a proper wooden lodge and the smell of sawn wood when entering the lodge was lovely. There was decking to the front and side of the lodge and a lovely are at the rear to sit with furniture. Only thing you could hear in the evenings were the birds and the lambs in the fields, Truly lovely. I would definitely book here again, we were 3 adults with no children to entertain. and we don't mind driving around and exploring Dand helpfulevon and we know parts of the county already. It was a lovely short break and the owners were friendly"
William - Jun 2022
"Had a lovely time, very peaceful, just the wildlife for company"
Helen - May 2022
"It was out second time staying at kingsford Lodge when we arrived we were told we was the only ones staying it was lovely and peaceful the hot tub was superb my partner and son went fishing everyday they thoroughly enjoyed themselves it was a really relaxing break we are looking forward to returning soon"
Louise - May 2022
"We were provided with excellent directions to our lodge which is 2 miles from the main road through Longdown. The lodge is situated in beautiful and idyllic surroundings. We received a lovely warm welcome by the owner which was followed another warm welcome from the 4 resident Guinea Fowl! The lodge was very clean & comfortable with all the facilities and amenities that we required. We loved the hot tub. I would highly recommend visiting Exeter Quays and the Eden Project. Great food at The Lamb in Longdown. We loved our holiday in Devon."
Steven - May 2022
"it was such a peacful place , with loads of farm animals including phesant and turkeys we would recommend to anyone"
Steven - Apr 2022
"Amazing holiday at Kingsford Farm, lovely facilities and so peaceful. We’re looking forward to returning."
Louise - Apr 2022
"We had a fantastic holiday at Kingsford Lodges excellent location away from everything with peace and quiet. The lodge is well presented with everything you need whilst staying but also only being six miles from Exeter to take the children out during the day. The hot tub is fantastic we made the must of this during the evenings. I would highly recommend Kingsford Lodges and we will endeavour to return."
