About Dartmoor View

Luxurious accommodations, various onsite facilities and a truly unforgettable location with 20 acres of beautiful Devon countryside on your doorstep are just a few things that make Dartmoor View one of the best retreats in the UK.

Located close to Dartmoor National Park and the vibrant city of Exeter, Dartmoor View is a wonderful place to explore the beautiful countryside.

Dartmoor View is equipped with an outdoor swimming pool and a children’s play area, making it a perfect place for families. The site also has a games room to keep you entertained. The holiday park lies close to numerous villages bursting with quaint shops and traditional English pubs.

You'll find a wide variety of accommodations to suit different budgets. Most caravans are contemporary style with some having private tubs. We especially love the Platinum Caravan Four Plus VIP, which sleeps 4, with one master bedroom and one open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area.

The outside decking comes with a private hot tub and beautiful countryside views, perfect for relaxing.  We also love the Country Pod VIP is a luxurious studio with one double and additional sleeping for two in the lounge. The deck has garden furniture perfect for outdoor entertainment with a hot tub.

The local area has gardens and countryside to explore and is a haven for nature lovers. There are various walking and hiking routes suitable for everyone. In addition there are centres for activities like Dartmoor Gliding Society, White Water rafting, Riding schools and Dartrock climbing centre, all perfect for enjoyable days out.

The gorgeous countryside and multiple local attractions just a few miles away, makes Dartmoor View the ideal woodland retreat!

Dartmoor View Reviews

"We had a lovely stay here, it was our first family holiday and the accommodation was stunning! There was a slight issue with our key but the staff were great and sorted it very quickly. We had been upgraded to a bigger caravan which was very kind. We will definitely be coming back the park was very clean and tidy, there was a lovely childrens area with some games too which was a lovely touch, and the big pond with benches inside had a large fence which gave us great peace of mind with young children, thankyou for making our stay so wonderful ??"
Jodie - May 2025
"We just got back from a really nice four-night stay at this cottage. The owners are super friendly but not pushy, which was great. The big fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around. The place had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen and we even enjoyed a BBQ one evening. The hot tub was fantastic! Were definitely coming back and already told our friends about it. Thanks for a lovely break!"
Charlie - Mar 2025
"Really enjoyed the whole experience"
Emma Carter - Mar 2025
"We had a really nice stay in this spacious caravan, which was well equipped and perfect for relaxing. The surrounding walks were beautiful. The only hiccup was a couple of cleaning mishaps-some marks in the fridge and dirty cutlery-but they were quickly sorted out in the dishwasher. The hot tub was absolutely lovely!"
Alex - Mar 2025
"Our Dartmoor View review: Really impressed with how spotless and welcoming everything was for a peaceful stay."
Emily Carter - Feb 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was super spacious and modern, with a fantastic hot tub. Can't wait to return!"
Raj Patel - Feb 2025
"Beautiful caravan, only drawback was there was not enough seating at the table for us all, as a unit for 6, you would expect to be able to seat 6 at the table. Otherwise was excellent."
Verified Guest - Feb 2025
"We had a lovely stay at this peaceful spot, tucked away in a gorgeous, secluded area. The owners were super friendly and always on hand if we needed anything, but it still felt private enough to relax fully. The hot tub was a real treat after cycling around all day. The only thing to keep in mind is the cottages proximity to Stansteds flight path - lots of planes overhead. It took us a few hours to get used to the noise, but it didnt ruin our break at all. Definitely recommend!"
Rajiv - Jan 2025
"Lovely, comfortable and well equipped spacious holiday home on quiet site on the edge of Dartmoor"
Carol - Jan 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay, the sofa and bed were perfect!"
Claire - Dec 2024
"Well equipped caravan, with very comfortable sofa and bed"
Pam - Dec 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was cosy, all rooms had en-suites and the hot tub was fab."
Jamie - Nov 2024
"Comfortable, reliable and good value. Cheers!"
Samir - Nov 2024
"We had a lovely holiday overall. The caravan was spotless and well-equipped with the basics, but a few extras like a bread bin, cheese grater and butter dish wouldve made it even better. Still, very enjoyable!"
Mrs. Linda - Nov 2024
"Very comfy and nicely done"
Martin - Oct 2024
"We had a really lovely stay at this place. The location is quite private and peaceful, nestled away from the hustle and bustle, which we loved. The owners are super friendly and always there if you need anything, but they also respect your privacy. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day cycling around. The only thing to note is that the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. Thankfully, we got used to it quickly and it didnt ruin our trip. Definitely recommend!"
Rajesh - Sep 2024
"We had a fantastic stay! The house was super well equipped and kept us warm on that rainy December day-such a relief. The bath was perfect for relaxing and the shower was spacious. Being near a flight path didnt bother us at all, honestly! Ideal if your dogs hate fireworks, as its in the middle of nowhere. Beautifully converted and really cosy. Thanks a lot!"
Harper - Aug 2024
"The lodge was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfy stay."
Rachel - Jul 2024
"When we arrived, they put us in a different caravan than what we booked and didnt really explain why. Still, for the price, it was pretty good. The sofa was a bit awkward in the middle because it dips, but the mattress was honestly amazing-super comfy and perfect for my back, no pain at all. Spot on!"
Charlotte - Jul 2024
"We had a great time staying at this lovely cottage. It's tucked away on a working farm, so it's quiet and private, but still easy to get to. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are super friendly and welcoming. The place itself is huge, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we didnt want to leave. The garden is perfect for dogs, totally secluded and nicely furnished. There are lots of walks nearby and Thaxted has some cracking restaurants like The Star and The Maypole - wed definitely recommend it!"
Tommy - Jun 2024
"We had a fantastic time, the hot tub was absolutely lovely. Definitely recommend!"
Sarah - May 2024
"Very cosy place, loved the hot tub!"
James - Apr 2024
"We had a wonderful, relaxing stay. The cottage was spotless, had everything we needed plus some lovely little touches. Highly recommend it!"
Isla - Apr 2024
"Great amenities and friendly team here."
George - Mar 2024
"At first, the bed felt a bit too firm, but we soon got used to it. My partner still prefers softer, but overall, its pretty comfy. Cheers!"
Sam - Feb 2024
"The place was lovely and super peaceful, perfect for unwinding. Our dog loved the secure garden too!"
Clara - Jan 2024
"The check-in was smooth and the caravan was spotless, warm and super comfy. Loved the tidy site!"
John - Aug 2023
"We stayed at the lodge recently and honestly, it was pretty decent for the price. Sure, its a bit on the older side, but the place was clean enough and the hot tub was a nice bonus! The site itself is quite small and theres not much to do nearby, so having a car really helped us get around. We planned ahead, so it wasnt an issue. Overall, we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a quiet getaway. Good value, really!"
Amelia - Aug 2023
"The caravan was lovely and the hot tub was a real bonus! We loved it."
