Absolutely amazing and very pet friendly. Possibly need shower drain cleaning as en-suite shower was blocked and dishwasher runners were broken, but that aside it was a perfect cabin and a lovely break. Couldn't recommend more!

Date of stay: 15th September 2018
The lodge was charming, a little tired in places-carpet lifted in bedroom, cracked floor tiles and a cupboard door that was broken but all in all it was clean and tidy with good facilities.

The outside space was where the hot tub was located was lovely and private and well thought out.

Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. We would definitely return to Quarry Walk!
Denise, Peterborough
Date of stay: 14th September 2018
Tranquil and very relaxing
Date of stay: 12th September 2018
We had afew problems working the oven. The ensuite shower didnt drain properly. Otherwise perfect
Paula, Weymouth
Date of stay: 10th September 2018
The lodge was beautiful, clean, tidy and the whole family enjoyed the break. We found it difficult to all sit and watch a movie as 6 adults crammed onto 2 sofas was a squeeze, there is room for another and the cost of WiFi meant we didn't have any, so the x-box quiz games we brought never got unpacked.
I'd still recommend Quarry Walk, the hot tub was amazing and we had a wonderful weekend.
Jed, Durham
Date of stay: 8th September 2018
Loved the lodge and its privacy. Just not used to a double bed which seemed small after a super king.
Mark, Billingham
Date of stay: 7th September 2018
An excellent relaxing break.
Date of stay: 5th September 2018
Lovely place for a chill out and getaway. The lodges are very private. Staff very nice and helpful. Feels like youre a million miles from the real world when in fact 10 minutes down the road you find Cheadle. Alton Towers is virtually on your doorstep. Nearby Stoke and surrounding areas has a wealth of things to do. We were soooo sad to leave.
Date of stay: 5th September 2018

Perfect holiday
Date of stay: 21st May 2018
Brilliant & beautiful place. Very peaceful & secluded. Down side is the lack of sun light due to the trees but given the rarity of hot weather it's not a major criticism.
The lodges are equipped with everything you need. Lovely personal touches such as milk in the fridge & tea & coffee on arrival.
Would certainly recommend & will definitely be back!
Maureen, Prestatyn

Date of stay: 9th April 2018
Me and my wife stayed here for a long weekend. We had a fantastic weekend, the hot tub was nice and warm, the staff were very helpful and considering there is lots of lodges around there is still a lot of privacy. Regarding the inside, the kitchen was brilliant, not too much and not too little. The lounge was just a bog standard sofa and TV which is enough for what we wanted. The bed was really comfortable, I haven't slept that well for a long time. The shower was slightly cold but I feel that could be due to hot water going to the hot tub which we understood. Only downfall was we stayed in lodge cabin number 50 and there appeared to be a few ants coming from between the 2 bedrooms, where there was a gap between the floor and wall. There wasn't millions just a handful, which we got rid of by sticking tissue in the hole. But except for that slight problems everything was absolutely wonderful. Would definitely go back.
Michelle, West Midlands
Date of stay: 7th April 2018
Great place. Friendly staff. Peace and tranquility. But WiFi is a rip off (independent company and not Quarry walk)
Mel, Mid Wales
Date of stay: 30th March 2018
Lovely for a relaxing family break
Date of stay: 26th March 2018
We have stayed at quarry walk a couple of times in the past we love the location close to the forest so we can take our dog for long walks knowing he is always safe. The staff are always friendly helpful and easily accessible if needed. The cabins are always clean and warm exactly what you need after a long walk in the cold. The location of each cabin was well thought out giving each cabin lots of privacy. The main reason we stay at canins is so we have a nice break but are also able to bring our dog along with us he had a great time as did we. If I was to add any negative points I would only say the fences around the cabin had a small gap at the bottom so simba always had to stay on his lead and could see peoples feet walk past which had him on guard duty even though he would just lick them to death. Also the price of the cabin this time was a bit pricey mostly down to us booking late but it was also quite costly just for the two of us. Price and fencing aside we loved our break and will defiantly continue to be returning customers again and again.
Karen, Wirral
Date of stay: 26th March 2018

Date of stay: 19th March 2018
Lovely relaxing holiday hot tub is superb as are the staff nothing is too much trouble very friendly we love this place have been six times and will definitely be coming back
Gladys, Stoke-on-trent
Date of stay: 12th March 2018
Only fault I could say there were 3 couples and 2 comfy settees would have appreciated another sofa was a 6 birth lodge
Date of stay: 9th March 2018
Honesty had the best time here with my boyfriend, I'd say the only thing we found could have been different was the size of the sofas, there was two sofas but they could only fit one person on comfortably so we had to sit on separate sofas but other then that it was a fantastic holiday and we will definitely be coming back
Diane, Nottingham
Date of stay: 5th March 2018
Only downside was limited WiFi
There was no 3 or 4G so we had to rely on WiFi
Date of stay: 5th March 2018
Been to this camp many times, always a pleasant stay. I do agree that they could do with some tlc now. The window catch was broken, the bathroom window didnt shut probably and there is no handle to get the lid of the hot tub, which is awkward for two people, virtually impossible for one.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and will keep going back because love the cabin
Marie, Hertfordshire
Date of stay: 4th March 2018
Fabulous Lodge, Friendly Staff, Beautiful Location

Date of stay: 20th February 2018
This was a perfect place to spend our 6 year anniversary, every thing was perfect and the lodge was beautiful. The hot tub was always ready and hot. There is no wifi here and i only got signal as i went further up the hill out of the campsite. Only one bad thing was that the bathroom smelt like urine but i guess its due to the underfloor heating, mopped it a few times and the smell went.
Gemma, Birmingham
Date of stay: 19th February 2018
Lovely clean lodge with everything we needed to enable us to cook the food we brought with us! Only negative would be where the hot tub was situated may have been dangerous if my children were younger as the decking literally dropped at the side which then dropped down a very muddy hill could be interesting if someone lost their footing
Date of stay: 15th February 2018
only negatives; mould on walls, water leak near radiator in bathroom and dirt on the floor.
Rafal, Newport
Date of stay: 14th February 2018
Underfloor heating was a nice surprise .There should be a option for tv stand to move so you can watch it from the hot tub .The smoke alarm is really sensible. Sound surond - you cant play it from just tv channels only from DVD. Roads needs resurfacing........but thats just a little things
Dean, Milton Keynes
Date of stay: 14th February 2018
If you are looking to get away from the world and switch off for a few days this is the ideal place. I stayed for 3 nights and it was the most relaxing 3 days I've had. the facilities are perfect and the little complimentary gifts were a lovely gesture. I wold highly recommend this little gem to anyone.
Sarah, North Yorkshire
Date of stay: 11th February 2018
Would of been nice to have control over the heating even it was just few degrees.
Would recommend and world visit again.
The roads around the lodges could do with improving quite few pot holes
Beverley, Derby
Date of stay: 8th February 2018
Excellent will definitely be returning.
Aaron, Plymouth
Date of stay: 8th February 2018
25 Fox Plus Lodge was perfect. There was only two of us and the dog, but the lodge had a bathroom and a shower room, along with three bedrooms to sleep six. Very good lodge. Large kitchen/diner with the usual appliances, including a Tassimo coffee machine. Tea/coffee/milk on arrival and two dishwasher tablets. Kitchen included a large fridge, a large freezer, a washer/dryer and a dishwasher. Living room with freeview and a DVD player. Two bedrooms with two singles in each. Walk in wardrobes in both. Bathroom with overhead shower (the better shower of the two) and toilet. Main bedroom with double bed and en-suite. En-suite also had a shower. All rooms had a TV with Freeview. Lots of cupboard and drawer space in all rooms. The decked hot tub area was very private. I imagine in Summer it would be more private when there are leaves on the trees. Bath robes provided. Just outside the decked area there was also a BBQ and large wheely bin.

Overall - 3/5
The accommodation was very clean, but bathrooms were slightly hairy, with extractors needing a good dust. Nothing major, but when paying the big bucks the small details are important.
Paul, Tamworth
Date of stay: 2nd February 2018

The lodge we stayed in was great the only downside was some of the utensils have seen better days.
Date of stay: 15th January 2018
Great little private cabin. Both hot tub and accommodation were great. We took a small drive to Cheadle town on Saturday which was lovely and had a delicious Sunday lunch at the Ramblers Retreat which is a short drive away and has some great surrounding walking trails. Highly recommend this place, would definitely visit again.

Date of stay: 13th November 2017
We stayed in one of the Badger cabins. The cabin itself was great, really authentic looking and with wooden furniture inside it was exactly what we wanted. The four poster bed was comfy and so was the leather sofa (perfect for afternoon naps!). The bathroom was clean and the shower and toilet worked fine. The underfloor heating was incredible, coming in from the harsh cold into what felt like a sauna! We even had to turn it down a couple of times! The surrounding area was great, you could say it was in the middle of nowhere but we went on plenty of nice country walks without any distractions (Although we did end up driving to a few places/shops as they were out of walking distance). The hot tub was amazing, much more spacious than we thought, better than a lot of Spa hot tubs! As it is kept on 24/7 you dont need to wait for it to heat up, just plunge straight in! The jets work well and you can change the colour of the lights - its difficult to find the motivation to get out once youre in! The kitchen had everything you could possibly need; we bought food from the nearest Asda and ate-in for 2 of 3 the nights we were there. The on-site staff were very friendly and helpful. There was only one minor thing that we noted. The phone signal is non-existent, we had no service or 4G throughout the stay so if you like to call people or use the internet it could be a problem (joining a wifi network was super expensive and not guaranteed to work apparently). This can be seen as a good or a bad thing I suppose. Our suggestion would be to have a direct phone line from the cabins to the reception, only to use for emergencies or for a quick question. Also the main tv could be a little bit bigger, but these are all we could think of in terms of nit picks! Everything else was just what we wanted when we booked it. We really enjoyed our weekend stay and would definitely recommend it to others who are looking for a quiet/ relaxing time away in the open air.
Michelle, Biddulph
Date of stay: 9th November 2017
Perfect in every single way. Clean and tidy. Very polite and friendly staff. Hot tub checked every morning. I would just have loved a clock in the main living room or kitchen
Kirsty, Glasgoe
Date of stay: 5th November 2017
Cabin was amazing, so clean and the hot tub is to die for!
Date of stay: 20th October 2017
The hot tub was great but the cabin could have been cleaner. We had to go to reception and complain about the vacuum cleaner as previous occupants had cleaned up vomit with it and it hadn't been cleaned so left the whole cabin stinking after we turned it on. The lack of free wifi in this day and age is also very disappointing
J, Lanarkshire

Date of stay: 30th September 2017
Perfect from start to finish.
The members of staff we meet were absolutely lovely & very helpful.
We were really happy with the level of hygiene regarding our hot tub.
The little shop on site is well priced and has useful bits & pieces.
Our cabin (Badger plus) was beautiful. It was clean, beautifully presented and had everything we needed.
We explored the grounds / forest and discovered lots of lovely mushrooms and stunning views.
We're hoping to stay here again next year & will recommend Quarry Walk Lodges to friends & family.
Hannah, London
Date of stay: 25th September 2017

Date of stay: 16th September 2017
We booked the stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We could not have been happier.

Perfect accommodation. Clean and tidy.

Absolutely no complaints.

For us one of the bonuses was the lack of mobile reception and poor wifi. Kept us off our phones and made the stay so much more fun.

Would definitely stay again and recommend.
Pascale, Manchester
Date of stay: 11th September 2017
Great lodge, so peaceful and beautiful. The lack of signal and wifi (even pay-as-you-go) was problematic as we needed to be contactable and had to drive up the road for this. Lodge was clean and well kept, only downside was some equipment - one shower head didn't stand properly, the other didn't get very hot; bathroom light was permanently on unable to switch off; master bedroom TV doesn't get any signal. Minor issues, which the staff did say they would fix. On the whole it was a really relaxing stay, just expect more of a retreat with little contact with the outside world.

Lovely cabin and the hot tub was excellent. The underfloor heating didn't work, but it wasn't that cold so ok. Also a lack of places to dry your towel meant the multiple visits to the hot tub the towel just got wetter and wetter.

The hot tub in this lodge was very well maintained and in a private position looking out onto woods. The lodge was well equipped and comfortable although a little tired. It was clean were it needed to be but door frames, radiators and bed frames needed dusting. The young adults were unhappy with the lack of a mobile signal in the lodge and the fact that you needed pay for the internet which, as it turned out, we were unable access anyway. Home page simple did not load an any of your devised.

The lodge was nicely laid out and private, really clean with everything you would need. I'd love to go back & would only stay in the Owl Lodge, its worth the extra money. Only problem was the fridge didn't close properly, just needs looking at, we didn't bother to say anything so its only minor!

Date of stay: 6th March 2017
We had a great long weekend break. The check in was quick and staff were very friendly, as was the "handyman" who came to the lodge very quickly after arriving to advise on how to use hot tub.

The Lodge was perfect as it was secluded with the hot tub out of view of the rest of the park. Bella our 4 year old Lab loved the long country walks in the surrounding areas.

The lodge was clean and comfy, especially the bed. The kitchen area was well equipped and the hot tub was amazing.

One of the best locations we have stayed at and will definitely return in the future.

What a lovely and relaxing stay! Me and my husband stayed at the new fox cub lodge and it was perfect and cozy, just what we needed. There's a big tv in the living room, and also one in the bedroom. Fully equipped kitchen, fridge and freezer. The bathroom was lovely, as was the bedroom. We used the BBQ too, even though it was December! The hot tub outside is huge! And is covered nicely. This was the second time we visited quarry lodges, and we'll be back again!

Date of stay: 21st November 2016
stayed there for a week in November and loved it, we stayed in the fox cub cabin 2 berth with hot tub, the cabin was very clean when we arrived 10 out of 10, the facilities in the cabin were great think they thought of everything, there was some tea coffee and milk on arrival in the cabin, plenty of towels and soap in the bathroom, the only small gripe was the hot tub made a bit of noise at night so we turned if off on the second night and switched it back on the next morning so we could get a good nights sleep, there is a £10 deposit on the remotes, I would highly recommend this cabin for a holiday we had a good time there.

A lovely log cabin, a few cobwebs but overall a clean and tidy cabin. Nice touch from staff leaving a complementary pint of milk in the fridge, made a welcoming cup a tea especially after a long journey. Hot tub well maintained and easy to operate once shown by site staff a godsend after visiting Alton Tower (10 mins drive away) a great away to relax. Cheadle is only 12 minutes away and has 2 supermarkets as well as a variety of shops, bars and takeaways. For a lovely meal and pleasant atmosphere visit the Ship Inn Upper Tean you won't be disappointed.

Natalie, Gainsborough
Date of stay: 10th June 2016
Lovely lodge. Sofas look a little worn on the arms but they were surprisingly comfy still. The double bed wasn't all that comfy but that is probably just down to personal preference and to be fair we had 2 young children with us so ended up sleeping in with them anyway! Lovely to have an undercover hot-tub although we had great weather so it wasn't an issue. Would definitely go again and would request Fox Lodge 22 as it was right opposite the play area.

Date of stay: 8th November 2015
this is the second time that we have stayed at quarry walk.

The lodges are beautiful and very private. The hot tubs are that little bit of added luxury that you appreciate after long days exploring.

The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. A few small niggles this time, but nothing major, if it wasnt for that it would be 10/10.

Cant wait till next year!
Date of stay: 5th November 2015
Very tidy modern log cabin, the bed was lovely the bathroom was lovely and warm and we was provided essentials..... dishwasher tablets milk etc they was down within 10 mins of arrival to make sure everything was OK and we arrived an hour early which was fine! If we had to be ridiculously picky the smoke alarm was very sensitive but you would expect that in a wooden cabin. Fantastic stay

Date of stay: 17th August 2015
Absolutely loved how private the cabin was - great distance from neighbouring cabins. Loved the hot tub, although we would have liked our cabin to have had the patio doors open out onto the hot tub like the other cabins (for some reason our cabin had the doors on the side). Would have liked a cover / roof over the hot tub (not available on the squirrel 4).
Thought the cabin was quite small but it was adequate. There wasn't enough / a lot of storage in the bedrooms and bathroom. There also wasn't really anywhere to dry the wet swim wear / towels - although when we asked at reception an airer was provided.
Nicola, Swanley
Date of stay: 7th August 2015
Would choose this lodge again for sure. The only problem for us was that the sofas were too soft and some of us had trouble getting out...but we are getting on a bit and a little creaky in the joints! But otherwise everything was fine, kitchen well-equipped, well appointed bathrooms etc. AND the wonderful hot tub. One tip -- put citronella candles on the patio to deter the flies which are inevitable in forests. We also put them on the rails around the hottub and they worked a treat.
Tracey, Scotland

I had the most amazing time at Quarry Walk Lodges. The log cabin was immaculate and had everything we could have possibly needed. It was like staying in a fancy hotel. The hot tub was huge and checked daily. I have nothing but compliments for the cabin, the surroundings, the staff and the location. The proximity to Alton Towers is a bonus too. It was the perfect relaxing weekend. There was no phone reception in the area but I didn't really care...it was lovely to be away for the hustle and bustle of city living. I wish I could have stayed longer and I look forward to returning in the future! It was really lovely experience and one that I would highly recommend.

Amazing Lodge
Wilson, Leicestershire
Date of stay: 23rd March 2015
Fantastic, we really loved our stay.
My main concern was with the cliff face walk when you can walk along the top of what would have been the quarry edge. There was no fencing or regular warnings about the drop below, which having our young children was a huge concern. I certainly couldn't let them run out of sight.
Other than that the woodlands walk, play area and general cleanliness of all areas was great. The cleanliness and maintenance of hot tubs was clearly visible and re-assuring. The lodge was lovely, comfortable and modern. Thanks for a great weekend.

Date of stay: 6th January 2015
Only one small tv in the kitchen area- had to do a bit of shuffling the sofas round to sit and watch a film! A larger tv in the lounge area and/or the master bedroom would have been nice

Saying that, very impressed with the lodge and had an absolutely wonderful getaway

We had an amazing time at Quarry lakes, we stayed in Woodpecker 41 it was very clean and tidy, made full use of the facilities and it was so peaceful and quiet, no phone signal which i had no problem with as we just wanted to get away for a few days.

Hot tub was great and we had the most perfect time
Beverley, Newcastle Upon Tyne

Gorgeous location and extremely comfortable in every way.
Only thing I wouldn't bother with if I stayed again is the Wifi, because it was rubbish. Might just have been unlucky in my particular cabin.

The lodge and hot tub were fantastic, very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the huge veranda but found the televisions are a little small. The access road is in a very poor state of repair.
Julia, Solihull
Date of stay: 29th August 2014
looked immaculate on entrance but there were black dog hairs over the floor in the spare bedroom and the master ensuite windows had cobwebs that had obviously been there a long time and mug rings....down by where the handle to open it which was odd as it had been a long hot summer and you'd hope someone would have noticed them ! ! There is a fault with the fan - extremely noisy so it couldnt be used. We did report it when we left so hopefully it will be fixed for the next guests. The washer dryer - well, it washed ok (which it not what we wanted) but if you tried to use the dryer the items came out ringing wet. We did mention this on our departure too and the reception just thought it was funny. Not so funny when we were trying to dry our towels to reuse ! We had to go and request extra - not very environmentally friendly....
Vesta, Southport
Date of stay: 25th August 2014
Possibly a bit expensive. Everything was great in the lodge the surround sound was amazing. However the cushions kept pulling away from the sofa bed while you sat on it
Jack, Lowestoft
Date of stay: 13th August 2014
Lodge, although clean was dated. Kitchen and bathroom units need replacing and some areas of the decking need a clean.

we had a great time and the fab hot tub was great after a busy day out at Alton Towers which was only a few miles away....
Laura, Treorchy
Date of stay: 25th July 2014
Had everything we needed inside. I would have liked an external gate at the roadside as a safety aspect for my toddler. We were given advice to block exit with garden furniture, which worked well as alternative.
Anne, York
Date of stay: 4th July 2014
really could do with some draws in the bedroom, dishwasher was a bit faulty.
Helen, Glasgow
Date of stay: 30th June 2014
Had a great time at Quarry Walk. Cabin was ideal and spacious, the hot tub was a delight to sink into after a few hectic days at Alton Towers and walking in the countryside. Family thoroughly enjoyed it. Only complaint was roads in site need attention.

Date of stay: 20th June 2014
Our accommodation was lovely and clean and everything was provided down to dishwasher tablets, washing liquid and bathroom bits. We had plenty of towels provided and the beds were really comfortable. We couldn't have asked for any better.

Date of stay: 20th June 2014
The lodge was lovely, clean and all you need for a break, the hot tub great after a long day.
Emma, Grays
Date of stay: 20th June 2014
Everything was inside was clean and tidy but if you look up there were a few cobwebs. maybe a feather duster on a stick/pole might be able to reach them. Outside there was a BBQ to use but we were put off using it was it was old and dirty. Outside table and benches looked old and weathered, really could do with a jet wash or replacing. On a plus side the hot tub was great.
Date of stay: 12th June 2014
Great lodge and the hot tub was excellent. 2 Year old loved running around the garden. Slight issues were a fair number of hairs in the bathrooms and nettles bordering the garden which we had to keep our daughter away from.
Marti, North Wales
Date of stay: 10th June 2014
Marked down slightly on cleanliness due to finding quite a lot of dust behind the cupboards, drawers & beds in both bedrooms.

Date of stay: 23rd May 2014
Very comfortable. Excellent for families. Only 7. Minutes from Alton Towers Theme Park. Recommended base. Just note, may have to move around camp for wi fi signal, but thats no hassle. Tv in all bedrooms.
Date of stay: 23rd May 2014
The bedrooms in the lodges could do with a chest of drawers each for more storage for clothes.
Ralph, Chelmsford
Date of stay: 17th May 2014
The remote location, privacy between lodges and peacefulness of the location suited me well. There is no mobile coverage within the site and the internet 'hotspots' did not seem to reach my accommodation. Otherwise, it was ideal.
Rachel, Bury St Edmunds
Date of stay: 16th May 2014
Very cosy lodge and spacious with pet
Dee, Sussex
Date of stay: 12th April 2014
The heating was set at a very high temperature that we could not alter, so we had all the doors and windows open. But overall the accommodation was to a very high standard and very clean and the staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Corinna, Chelmsford
Date of stay: 14th March 2014
we have stayed in other lodges that hsve been alot nicer for the same money, this one lacked the personal touch, for instance there is no where to unpack your clothes apart from some hanging space, needed a set of chest of drawers. In the bathroom there was no where to leave your toothbrush, a simple shelf near the sink would be ideal. little picky things I know but would of made the stay that much better.
Susan, Wigan

Apart from the 2pubs near by. Its was amazing would definitely stau there again. The raddle wasnt open when we went to go for dinner, and we also decided to go mid week to watch football. But when we got there they didn't even know how to work the tv. And it did say on the front of the pub it plays live sports all day :-s. But I know the pub has nothing to do with the lodge. But just thought I would say. But the stay at quarry walk was out of this world. And one of the best holidays I have been on :-) a very happy customer.

Amazing time away, was great to get away from everything!
My few days are Quarry Lodge was just what the doctor ordered. Very relaxing and was able to recharge my batteries. The staff were really helpful. It was my 3rd visit and I will defo be going again.
It was a great experience
I have been gping hete for 15yrs and have recommended it to many friends and family who now enjoy it to.
Perfect from start to finish cabin blew us away was clean and beautifully presented. Fantastic clean hot tub.
Perfect. Felt like we were deep in the forest. Our lodge seemed very private and secluded considering where we were in a busy park.
As a family of 4 our trip was for visiting Alton towers which was only a 13 minute drive away from lodges , we loved our stay , lodges were so clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a self catering holiday. The hot tub was a brilliant extra and so good after a tiring day walking around Alton towers. We will definately be returning in the future :)
