Coopers Beach Reviews

"We stayed here for a week in July with our two little dachshunds and it was such a lovely experience. The cottage itself is charming and cosy and the hot tub was a real treat, especially during the scorching days when the water was just right for a dip. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel right at home. Watching the planes land near Stansted was quite entertaining too! The village of Thaxted is adorable and the dogs enjoyed meeting new friends. Wed definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway!"
Claire - May 2025
"Really enjoyed the peaceful vibe here, perfect for dog walks and soaking up the countryside. Lovely day!"
Alexandra - Apr 2025
"We had a really lovely stay! Sharon and Robert made us feel super welcome, which was great. The place was spotless, comfy and perfect for Archie, our dog. The location was ideal - loads of nice walks and exploring nearby villages like Thaxted was a real treat. We definitely left feeling refreshed and relaxed. All in all, a pretty perfect break for us and wed happily come back again!"
Julia - Apr 2025
"Beautiful place, super tranquil and perfect for our dogs with the enclosed garden. We loved it!"
Amelia - Apr 2025
"Our Coopers Beach review: The place is really lovely and super peaceful, perfect for unwinding. The garden is fully enclosed, which is great for dogs! We loved it."
Harriet - Feb 2025
"We had a really lovely stay at the cottage, which is tucked away on a working farm but still feels quite private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are absolutely charming and welcoming. The place itself is spacious and well-equipped, especially the kitchen and bathroom. The bed was super comfy and the garden, which is dog-proof and furnished nicely, is perfect for relaxing. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted has some cracking restaurants like The Star and The Maypole. Wed definitely recommend it!"
George - Feb 2025
"We really enjoyed our stay here. The caravan was so clean and cosy, it felt really relaxing. Our only small gripe is that during these times, wed expect the entire bedding, including duvets and pillows, to be changed instead of just the sheets. Still a lovely place though!"
Mark - Dec 2024
"We needed a quick getaway for walking the dog and this place was spot on. Lovely cosy accommodation, plenty of nearby pubs and eateries and endless off-road trails. The dog loved it so much, it didnt want to leave!"
Luke - Dec 2024
"The cottage was just lovely, especially the hot tub and log burner. Hosts were really friendly and it was so peaceful. Can't wait to come back!"
Hannah - Nov 2024
"We had a lovely stay at this little gem! The setting is super private and really beautiful, perfect for a peaceful retreat. The owners are genuinely friendly and always ready to help if needed, but they respect your privacy too. The hot tub was a real highlight after cycling all day. One thing to note, though, is that the cottage is directly under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didnt spoil our holiday at all. Wed definitely visit again!"
Raj - Oct 2024
"Absolutely loved our stay at Goddards Mead! The cottage is just perfect, really comfy and well-equipped. Well definitely return soon!"
Martin - Sep 2024
"Really pleased with the caravan, its spacious and well positioned too."
Oliver - Jun 2024
"Really enjoyed the walk, dogs loved it, lovely scenery, would definitely come back again!"
Ellie - Jun 2024
"Absolutely loved our stay at Goddards Mead! The cottage was perfect and everything we hoped for. Can't wait to return!"
Daniel - Apr 2024
"We had a fantastic weekend here and really enjoyed our stay. The place was just what we needed and well definitely be coming back! Our dogs adored the underfloor heating and had a great time running around the garden. Luna even went home with a strained tail-apparently she was wagging it non-stop all weekend! Happy pups, happy us!"
Chris - Apr 2024
"Had a really nice stay, the grounds were beautiful and the dogs loved exploring everywhere!"
Liam - Mar 2024
"The owners really go above and beyond, making sure everything's perfect. We had such a relaxing stay, highly recommend!"
Mike - Mar 2024
"Loved our stay at Goddards Mead! The cottage was perfect in every aspect. Can't wait to come back again!"
Charlie - Feb 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, the cottage had everything needed!"
Charlotte - Jan 2024

"We just got back from a lovely four-night stay at this cosy cottage. The owners are really friendly and give you plenty of space, but they're there if you need anything. The fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around. The place has everything you could possibly need and the hot tub was just brilliant! Wed definitely come back and already recommended it to friends. Thanks for a great break!"
