Date of stay: 15th January 2018
beautiful lodge could not fault it. only down side was organisation of staff.

when we got there no info about how to get into the gates. had to find a number and call to which we got told wait and someone will get you. about 20mins later some came and told us to follow them. She let us into the lodge was very friendly but then failed to leave us a key to our lodge. we had to call up saying we had not key and knowone at recepetion. we got told they would drop one in. not untill day 2 did we get a key. so had no choice but to leave lodge open when we went out.
We also was not told how to get in and out of the gates still we called numbe rup again (very rude staff on the end) told us a code. failed to tell us there was a fob we could use.

the staff on the end of the phone was very rude to the point where we felt like we couldnt ring again. and ask where our missing key was.

Then when we was in bed another staff member just walking in the lodge with 2 other people renting a Lodge saying "ohhh why are you in here, i have these two people in here" which we was very put out by with them just walking in.

overall more organisation need to improve and attitude of guy on phone.

Date of stay: 28th April 2017
Cleaning required to washing machine, tumble drier and oven which was filthy. Alex(manager) sorted it out. Good lodges, well equipped and comfortable . Semi detached so some neighbour noise. Hot tub appreciated after walking in the cold.Enjoyed looking at the donkeys and rabbits(wild). Would stay there again but check lodge more carefully on arrival.

Date of stay: 23rd December 2016
Lovely lodge, semi detached but this wasn't a concern as was no noise and private enough from neighbours. Nice view of animals from veranda and hot tub. A little of out the way but it is a retreat after all. Site is under going construction work but it didn't bother us. Facilities clean and luxury we told them to restock the kitchen with things so hopefully this had been don't for future guests. Only 4 lodges for hire rest on site are owned. Didn't use spa but look pricey but nice. Convenient to local town and motoway. Bed comfy (I'd say medium firm) shower lovely and bath nice but overflow not good so be careful not to fill too brim.
Overall lovely break and would go again.

It was a lovely lodge and well fitted out. The decking area was our main area for cleanliness complaint. I understand that they have, or are changing the cleaners, but I had the impression that the decking or the glass balustrade had not been cleaned for some time. There was also a shortage of bath towels, only having 3 between the 4 of us there, and this was not put right during our short stay. Other than these minor complaints it was excellent and will be on my list of possible returns.

Date of stay: 22nd July 2016
The lodge was really lovely and luxurious with good furnishings (5 star rating).

However there was a broken chair, which we had to report and were disappointed to discover that they were already aware. I feel that this should have been removed before we arrived as it was dangerous and could have caused injury if it had been sat on.

Date of stay: 23rd May 2016
it was spotless clean when we arrived , the furniture was modern and clean . I marked the cleanliness down a bit because on arrival there were no kitchen towels or cloths to wipe the table tops and cooker, no washing liquid and no tablets for the dishwasher , had to buy some from the nearest shop . The washing machine was full of little dirty kitchen cloths , probably from previous guests . I guess they just overlooked that part . In general it was the little things that let the cleanliness down. someone just needs to double check .

Date of stay: 18th March 2016
Luxury lodge with an amazing hot tub, the lodge was furnished to a high standard and loved the folding doors out on to the decking as it brought the outside in. Lovely landscaped gardens only thing missing was a reception to book in.
Date of stay: 7th December 2015
Lovely place, only problem is it was sold to us as retreat and spa which the spa isn't open and there is no reception area so had to wait around for a member of staff to come and see to us. Let's it down, but other than that it was great.

This is a top quality lodge, with all the best of everything. The location was quiet and private, yet only a short drive from a number of interesting locations.
The only minor comment was the lack of professionalism in the arrival and departure procedures.
But we would happily recommend this vacation
Beautiful lodge beautiful surrounding will be booking again
Amazing lodge we had such a good week! Staff were really helpful too and kept us updated with the snow!
There were things missing from the kitchen like oven gloves and tea towels. No bins in the bathrooms and no body wash only shampoo and conditioner. Minor inconveniences. There was no member of staff there for us to check out either. Other wise would highly recommend and I am returning. Lovely place very well kept and lovely looking.
We had an amazing time at Ladera! Absolutely gorgeous lodge, so relaxing. The facilities were great, the lodge was so clean and gorgeously styled! It was perfect
Lovely place to stay, very peaceful.
Had an amazing time at the lodge would 100% recommend and return ourselves! Loved it. Only a few small downsides being, no staff were there to check us in or out- so didn’t meet anyone at all during our 3 night stay; which for us we didn’t mind, but would have been nice to have slightly more information on entering the site with the code and leaving. Didn’t have any information on where to leave keys when checking out. But overall we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning!
We found Ladera Lodge fabulous, it would of been perfect it the weather had been kinder instead of the rain and fog. Lovely well equipped, very clean, modern lodge, I will return in better weather Thank you

Fun Days Out near Ladera Retreat Lodges

Out of all of the Go Ape! courses the one in Cheshire is the most spread out and it takes staff ten minutes to patrol the site on bike - which gives a good indication of the size of this place.  If you're looking for an adventurous and memorable day out then Go Ape is highly recommended.  Trek through the treetops, swing between the trees and enjoy zip wire rides all as part of your experience.  This attraction opens every day from the end of March to end October and is open on weekends in November.  Go Ape Cheshire is closed every Tuesday except school holidays.

This is a really unique opportunity to see the fantastic work going on at this centre.  The purpose of the British Wildlife Rescue Centre is to treat and care for injured wildlife which cannot be released into the wild.  Many of the animals are brought to the centre by members of the public or the RSPCA.  Visit their website to see the picture gallery and to find out how to help if this is something which interests you.  There are also regular fundraising events such as the Sponsered Leg Wax.
