Ladera Retreat Lodges Reviews

"Really enjoyed our stay, the bed was super comfy and the lodge was spotless. We did notice there was no iron, but we just chatted with the host about it-no worries! All in all, a lovely little getaway, would definitely come back again."
Emma - Aug 2024
"Beautiful scenery, peaceful stay, highly recommend!"
Emily Carter - Jun 2024
"We loved the cosy cabin - it was spotless, spacious and the hot tub was amazing! Definitely coming back."
Jamie - Apr 2024
"We really enjoyed our time in lodge number 1. Its quite spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen had all the essentials-fridge, freezer, washing machine, you name it. A couple of issues, like the waterfall shower head wobbling and the hose being loose, but otherwise everything was spot on. Definitely recommend and would come back!"
Alex - Nov 2023
"Our Ladera Retreat Lodges review: We had a great time! The place was lovely, super posh and really well kept overall. The bed was so comfy and the hot tub lights at night created a lovely vibe. There were a few cobwebs on the decking, but nothing major. We also enjoyed chatting with our neighbours. Thanks a lot!"
Emma - Nov 2023
"We had such a lovely time at the lodge! The place was spotless and well stocked and those lake views are just stunning. The hot tub and BBQ made it extra special. Will definitely return!"
Emma - Jul 2023
"Great getaway, would definitely return"
Rachel - Mar 2020
"Beautiful spot, really enjoyed the vibe, definitely planning to return soon."
Emma - Feb 2020
"We loved how roomy the lodges were and that they had all the essentials. The modern decor inside was lovely and the outdoor space was well-equipped. The hot tub was spotless and perfect for unwinding. Great stay!"
Emma - Jan 2020
"The lodge was stunning and super clean. We really enjoyed it!"
James - Nov 2019
"Good experience overall"
James - Oct 2019
"We had a lovely stay, very peaceful and the staff were genuinely friendly."
Emma - Oct 2019
"Absolutely loved the bed, slept like a dream! The sofa was truly fantastic too."
Tommy - Oct 2019
"We recently stayed at this lovely place and overall, it was just what we needed. The view from the cabin was stunning and the hot tub was definitely a highlight! That said, there were a few small issues that stopped us from giving a perfect score. The advertised luxury toiletries were nowhere to be found, which was a bit disappointing. Also, the Wi-Fi claim was a bit misleading since there was none available. When we opened the dishwasher, the wooden panel kept falling off, which was a bit annoying. The freezer drawers were pretty stiff, probably because it needs a good defrost and we noticed some dirt on the dressing gowns. The bedding stitching was coming apart, with holes in it, so that could do with some attention. We also spotted some tools outside the cabin, including a jigsaw blade, which we thought shouldve been removed. Still, we enjoyed our stay overall!"
Alex - Jun 2019
"Great spot to unwind, truly peaceful retreat."
Sarah - May 2019
"Great sleep, plenty of storage, really impressed with everything!"
Emma - Apr 2019
"Really enjoyed the peaceful vibe here, perfect for a calming escape."
Emma - Mar 2019
"We had such a lovely stay! The lodge was spotless and decorated really nicely. The hot tubs were checked and cleaned every day, which was great. Staff were super friendly and polite, making us feel really welcome. Plus, there was a surprise bottle of wine waiting for us-such a nice touch! The WiFi worked perfectly everywhere. Well definitely be back!"
Ellie Carter - Mar 2019
"Honestly, we had such a lovely stay! The view from the hot tub overlooking the donkeys and alpacas was just perfect for unwinding. The location is truly picturesque and the accommodation is really top-notch. Little touches like the toiletries in the spotlessly clean bathroom, plus the complimentary wine, made it feel extra special. The kitchen and lodge facilities exceeded our expectations, making our stay even more enjoyable. We had to leave a day early, but Maureen was incredibly helpful-she came straight over when we texted last minute to sort out our deposit and check wed had a good time. Wed definitely recommend this place!"
Emma - Mar 2019
"Really loved staying at the Ladera Lodges, it's a lovely place with everything needed."
Emma - Feb 2019
"We had a really lovely break! The surroundings are so peaceful and the animals add a special touch. The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed. Staff were super friendly and helpful too."
Alex - Feb 2019
"We had such a fantastic time! Stayed for four nights and honestly, we wish wed booked longer. First time in a lodge and it definitely wont be the last; were already thinking about more UK lodge breaks. The staff were lovely, the lodge was spotless and the location was just stunning. Sitting in the hot tub at night, enjoying the wildlife, was a real highlight. Can't recommend it enough!"
Emma - Aug 2018
"We really enjoyed our stay overall, the lodge was lovely and the setting was perfect. However, we did notice some cleanliness issues like hairs in the shower and dust in the corners of the living room. Still, it didnt ruin our trip!"
Emma - Jul 2018
"Great vibe, super chill, would definitely return!"
Emma - Feb 2018
"Really enjoyed the peaceful vibe"
Charlotte - Nov 2017
"Really enjoyed the hot tub, perfect weekend."
Emma - Oct 2017
"Really enjoyed staying here, peaceful location with lovely hot tubs."
George - Jul 2017
"We had a pretty good stay overall. The lodges are well equipped and comfy, though being semi-detached meant we could hear some neighbour noise. The hot tub was a real treat after braving the cold walks. We loved spotting the wild donkeys and rabbits. Definitely coming back, just might check the lodge more thoroughly when we arrive!"
Sarah - Apr 2017
"Beautiful place ? very high standards ? we will definitely be returning staff very helpful thankyou for such an amazing experience"
Sarah - Jul 2022
"Amazing weekend! Beautiful place."
Emma - Jun 2022
"We stayed in Lodge No 4 which was immaculate, clean and very well laid out. Housekeeping met us on arrival and went through the property to ensure we were happy with everything. Hot tub was amazing. All in all a very relaxing retreat away from it all. Would definitely return."
Julie - May 2022
"A lovely lodge. Lovely and private and lovely hot tub but I'm not sure it got cleaned during the stay. Very quiet and friendly people around. Idyllic surrounds nice grounds / lakes /animals. The lodge itself was so lovely. Lovely furnishing spacious and modern. Robes which was an added bonus. Clean and everything you would need in the lodge itself. The TV sometimes lost signal but we normally find that happens anywhere we stay. Overall a lovely break and would stay again. Less than an hour away from Manchester and other nice places to visit."
Rachel - Apr 2022
"Amazing lodges with a friendly greeting. Lovely place for them to be situated. Only a few mins drive from supermarkets and a lovely town. We had the most peaceful weekend we have ever had there! All round worth the money. The only down side was we was told we would still be able to use the hot tub on the Monday as paid extra to check out late (1pm) and we couldn’t as it was emptied and filled with water above temp for people to use it. Saying that I addressed that and was promised if we returned we would be looked after and this wouldn’t happen again. We will definitely be returning in the future :)"
Natalie - Mar 2022
"Excellent location and facilities. Just perfect for our family weekend- very luxurious"
Alison - Mar 2022
"we stayed at the ladera house 14-18th March and we just wanted to say how amazing our break was. The house is absolutely gorgeous and it was equipped with everything we needed ? we had a big age differed youngest 11 months - oldest 75 but every person was so pleased it’s so idyllic. Also all the ground staff where Amazing and even the residents were really friendly. Thankyou again hopefully we will be back soon ? xx"
Margaret - Mar 2022
"We stayed here for my daughters 11th birthday and for business what a beautiful setting, fantastic customer service and outstanding accommodation Highly recommend! Will be returning in the future Lana"
Lana - Feb 2022
"Will be returning next year. Great house loads of space. Thanks"

Go Ape Cheshire - WA16 6RW

Out of all of the Go Ape! courses the one in Cheshire is the most spread out and it takes staff ten minutes to patrol the site on bike - which gives a good indication of the size of this place.  If you're looking for an adventurous and memorable day out then Go Ape is highly recommended.  Trek through the treetops, swing between the trees and enjoy zip wire rides all as part of your experience.  This attraction opens every day from the end of March to end October and is open on weekends in November.  Go Ape Cheshire is closed every Tuesday except school holidays.
