"Our Benson Waterfront review: Weve just returned from a lovely weekend at Waterfront. Agnesa on reception was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain all the details, which was really appreciated. Our lodge faced south and had stunning waterfront views - it was warm, spotless and surprisingly spacious. Theres a charming cafe/bistro by the water, along with a couple of great pubs nearby, all within walking distance. The private hot tub was the perfect way to unwind at sunset. Wed definitely come back!"

"We had such a great time! The lodge was super cosy and warm, really felt like a home away from home. The hot tub was definitely the highlight - it heats up to 40 degrees and works perfectly, such a treat after a day out. The living space was spotless and well-equipped, with plenty of tea and coffee supplies. The bathroom was lovely, with both a bath and shower. Overall, a wonderful stay in a really charming lodge!"

Emma Roberts - Jun 2024
"Really enjoyed our trip! The place was lovely, though the mattress was a bit too firm for my taste."
Alex - Jun 2024
"We had a fantastic 4-night stay here, honestly, it was just what we needed to unwind. From the moment we booked, everything was straightforward - plenty of payment options and no fuss at all. Check-in was smooth and gave us some handy tips about local discounts and transport. The lodges position overlooking the Thames was lovely, just a short hop from the balcony, which was perfect for relaxing evenings. The place was spotless and just the right size for two of us - no cramped feeling at all. On-site facilities were top-notch and we loved having a few cosy pubs nearby serving really good food. We took a bus to Oxford from right outside the gate and it only cost £2 each way, which is a real bargain. There are some great walking routes straight from the lodge, including the Thames path, with clear signs to help you find your way. Its a peaceful spot, mostly quiet, with lots of privately owned lodges and not much to attract families with young kids. Everyone we met was cheerful and friendly, from staff to residents and even folks on the boats. Wed definitely recommend this place!"
Emma Carter - May 2024

Julia - Jul 2022
"Had an Amazing weekend break at this delightful caravan/lodge. Ever so clean and all the home comforts you could need in the property (and more…even bathrobes to use when you get out the tub!). Staff were really friendly and helpful, and it’s such a beautiful peaceful location, owith stunning walks in all directions, cafe/restaurant on site and local towns nearby with more to offer. Would highly recommend. Thanks for a lovely time."
Stacey - Jul 2022
"We enjoyed our stay. The loge & hot tub was amazing & very clean. Staff are very friendly & helpful, always on hand. Just would like to say the hot tub well matained. But Just disappointed it had a small leak, and the view of the river was not good, because of the trees & the caravans that was phich up in front of our loge."
Marie - Jul 2022
"A lovely lodge with hot tub in a beautiful riverside setting. Close to local attractions, but secluded in its own way. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice bistro within easy walking distance."
David - Jul 2022
"Great lodges in beautiful location. Very clean and well maintained. Couldn't fault them."
Andy - Jul 2022
"We stopped here for a week and we absolutely loved our stay. We didn’t experience any problems whilst there so unable to comment on this. The lodge was very clean and had everything you could need to self cater. We used the Waterfront cafe which is adjacent to the lodge site and found it be be reasonable and what we ate was good. We also used the pub in the village finding the service / food excellent. There is a bus stop in front of the Waterfront cafe car park so you can access Oxford, Reading and lots of other places without having to use the car. We can not see hunk of a bad thing to say about these lodges, hopefully to return soon"
Deborah - Jul 2022
"Beautiful, clean lodge with everything provided made for a comfortable stay. Hot tub was immaculately clean and checked daily. Only ate once at the restaurant but food was lovely, service quick and staff polite. Would recommend a stay here."
Susan - Jun 2022
"Excellent accommodation. Only downside is proximity to main road."
Nigel - Jun 2022
"Really impressed with the lodge, couldn’t of asked for anything better. The host was very friendly and helpful. A very beautiful place, we will definitely go back."

Attractions Near Benson Waterfront

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Benson Waterfront. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Pendon Indoor Model Village and Railways - OX12 8EA
about 4 Miles
This is an all weather attraction in Abingdon, Oxfordshire which will appeal to all ages.  The model trains are fascinating to watch and we love the model village in the Vale Scene.  The exhibits have been well thought out and it's a pleasure to wander around this museum looking at everything on offer.  You can be assured of a warm welcome from the moment you arrive and for kids and adults alike this makes a fun and educational day out.
Farmer Gows - SN7 8DA
about 20 Miles
Farmer Gows is a recommended attraction in the Faringdon area of Oxfordshire and will be especially suited to families with young children.  The little ones will love coming to see the farm animals including pigs, cows and lambs.  The meet the animals session takes place every day and includes handling the animals, walking the goats, feeding the pigs and cows and egg collecting.  Look out for special seasonal events throughout the year such as the Halloween Party, Lambing and children's workshops.  The latest news from the farm is that they have some Saddleback piglets and Speckledy chicks arriving shortly.
Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens - OX18 4JP
about 25 Miles
This has to be one of the most popular days out in Oxfordshire and is sure to appeal to nature lovers, animal lovers and keen gardeners.  Families and couples will enjoy wandering around this amazing park with a wide variety of mammals and birds to see as well as reptiles. Some of the most popular animals are the Burrowing Owl, Dexter Cow, African Pancake Tortoise and the Bar Headed Goose.  Check out their website for the latest admission costs and special offers.
Studley Grange Garden and Leisure Park - SN4 9QT
about 31 Miles
Studley Grange Garden and Leisure Park is a fantastic attraction based in Swindon, Wiltshire.  For nature lovers and those who like to get out and explore this is the perfect day out.  It's also an all weather attraction with Butterfly World being part of the site.  Butterfly World is kept at around 85 degrees year round so this makes a perfect place to visit in all seasons. A visit to the Craft Village is also recommended where there are a wide range of handcrafted gifts.
Catanger Llama Trekking - NN12 8LJ
about 34 Miles
This is a really unique attraction and certainly worth a visit in our opinion.  Established in 1995 and situated in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside this attraction will appeal to those looking for something a little different.  You can't ride the animals but you can trek alongside them and enjoy the fantastic scenery.  From farm tracks to country lanes the gentle animals will carry your rucksack for you along the way.  There are personally guided treks available all year round and you will have your own Llama for the trek.
RHS Garden Wisley - GU23 6QB
about 34 Miles
RHS Garden Wisley is an excellent choice for a day trip, offering excellent value for money all year round. A yearly membership is available so visitors can take advantage of the parks attractions as often as they wish. On entry to the park visitors can pick up a family trail which offers suggestions of places within the grounds to visit and explains all the fun things to do in the garden. There are many areas to explore including the beautiful Rose Garden, the amazing Glasshouse and the Café which served home made locally sourced food.
Chessington World of Adventures - KT9 2NE
about 39 Miles
Chessington World of Adventures has a well deserved reputation and one of the best theme parks in the UK the site is crammed with rides for adrenaline junkies including Vampire rollercoaster which fly's through Transylvania and the Tomb Blaster which is not for the faint hearted the site also boasts a fantastic Sea Life Centre and a range of attractions for younger children including daily shows and talks.
